Which... the vast majority already do, by and large.

16637
... yeah, when you say that killing the weakest of a (your) nation is the blackest of evil, and then turn around and say you should slaughter the entirety of another nation (including, of course, their weakest) that's about as hypocritical as hypocritical can get.

16638
... that's some A grade hypocrisy, right there, heh.

@ AC: Bologna, actually, usually. The sandwich meat style stuff. It tends to be cheaper by the ounce than even the cheapest other!meat, at least around here. You can slice it up before adding it to rice or whatever. It's... not terrible. Not good. But not terrible.

Well, before you get into the canned stuff. Vienna sausages and whatnot. Which, like. I tend to get the most cost efficient I can manage. But there's depths even I won't sink to. Shit be nasty, and entirely too likely to crunch when you eat it (bits of bone).

Cost situation's probably different for GO, though. Not stateside. What you have to do is take a notepad, writing thingy, and, if they're not nice enough to give you the per-unit* amount on the tag, a calculator, and then just go by every single food selling place that's within your comfortable travel range. And price everything you're willing to eat. It may take a day or two, eat up a weekend, etc. But once you've done it, you've got your baseline and both know where to go for cost efficiency and have a handy reference for tracking price change (which can readily mean switching venues for certain goods) in the future.

*Ounce, gram/kg, whatever -- standardize, though, if you're dealing with different normal measurements. Price by the gram or kilogram across the board for non-liquids, ferex.

... can you point out the passages that say that? One of the oddities that struck me, personally (having been raised in an area where folks, especially kids, were generally told the mistranslation of the no-murder commandment), when I did do a quick search on the subject was that there weren't any blanket condemnations of killing. No mention, that I noticed, of it, as a general thing, being a sin. Murder, yes, but the difference between murder and killing have been noted repeatedly.

And there's a fair amount of, y'know, folks going out and getting their slaughter on with YWHW's blessing.

The Seven Faces of Socrates.

It'd be an epic love story about a skinshifter and their life of serial monogamy with the person they love.

... also, Plato totally wrote that thingjigger on love. Just use that as a title or title base.

Hey, it could only be better than Twilight.

Maybe make it a romance, too, with the one girl who tragically has the one brain Plato finds irresistible and must consume.
Plato would make for a horrible romantic character.
Socrates... might manage it? Despite being basically a wonder hobo, dude had kids, got drunk at parties and talked about love, etc., etc. Might be able to swing some romance.

Probably a terrible domestic life afterwards, but the lead up might be worth watching.

Well, technically that was Plato wearing a socretes skin suit, but that would be... weird. Let's not go down that path. Having the initial scene of a romcom being summarized as "manflaying" would be somewhat awkward.

E: on the other hand, killing someone, skinning them, and wearing their flesh as a suit as a means of courtship does say you're pretty devoted.

Also bugfuck insane, but hey, yandere.

... it was actually bouncing off an aside about derogatory jewish terms. Happened in the last page.

Actually, I think it's mostly Bohandas meandering on a tangent?

How many times to I need to cite Judges 21:25?
... that bit mostly just makes me wonder if it wasn't, y'know, added later at some point. I could definitely see the transcriber looking at all that and just kinda'... fudging things a titch.

Generally because they ended up being used by an outside group as a derogatory term for the group in question. Basically, even if they didn't begin as an outright slur, they became one, over time.

The other reason tends to be because they're just kinda' insulting/inaccurate, such as with oriental, or indian being used to refer to native americans.

Nah, florida one. Mostly an incessant repetition to "thank" southerland. Mostly for being an incompetent slag, insofar as I could tell.

It took less than a week for the urge to thank him with a nine iron to solidify.

Politics must have kicked in on YouTube starting Nov 1 as it seems every other video that I'm listening to has an ad for a local Libertarian candidate for Governor, sponsored by some group not affiliated with his campaign, that he's going to legalize marijuana in Wisconsin.  The ads contain such slogans as “light it up and take a puff” and "blaze it".
I've been getting ads from one particular jackoff on youtube for a couple months now. Those ads alone lost that bastard my vote.

Mind you, so did a lot of the other things the bugger did, but those ads were sufficient in and of themselves.

Ah, that brings up memories.
Quote from: Genkyouien, chapter 9
Shino and Kiba were slowly getting back on their feet, their honed senses carefully looking for a threat that did not exist.

"KYUUBI HAS RETURNED TO FINISH THE JOB! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!" A man to Shino's left screamed. The bug user almost sighed.

"Do you see a giant fox somewhere around here?"

"Eh?"

The man desperately looked for the gigantic frame of the nine-tailed demon fox as he remembered. The awareness of its absence did not relieve him in the slightest. Shino actually frowned when the man's drooling face became a rictus of abject horror.

"OH MY GOD, KYUUBI IS INVISIBLE! THERE IS NO HOPE!"

Shino facepalmed.

... both statements are accurate.

Though yeah, 4-5 USD worth of rice, with the rest going into water/heating. 10 bucks can cover a week. Not the most thrilling week, but rice is delicious so :V

... wouldn't bother with the butter or onions, myself, though. Soy or bullion instead >_>
