Really, if you're going for noise, go for the original. Or any of the genre it basically spawned. Surprisingly listenable, really (though I love the story about folks having a bad record and not noticing that it was looping, ha, because the record skip was unnoticeable compared to the actual piece).Dubstep shall forever be below literal noise music in capability to create noise, imo :P

... I've actually heard some pretty nice noise music, though. There was this one I've forgotten the name and producer of that sounded like waves on the beach. I mean, through the filter of a thousand way industrial-strength car wreck, but it was quite soothing in its own way.

For whatever reason, today has started off with my mood only accurately describable as "nufufufu" (onee-chan's stacked, nahahahee~). It is a good feeling, and a great way to start the day. Think I mostly blame it on this thing, which has been nice, so far. Apparently I need to go and read more of these forum RP thingies.

That's saying he's a potato! D:
He'll be a potato by the time the peeler brandisher is done. A skinless uncooked spud, writhing on the ground with its eyes strew about the room.

... y'know, thinking on that, that's a lil'morbid. People should not peel people. Or potatoes, even. Cut out the eyes and mumbly bits, I guess, but leave the skin and eat!

Ganondorf, or PRINCE DARKNESS GANNON, is the primary antagonist in most of the legend of zelda games.
Mostly I just wonder if he's going to get a full on giant doom pigman mode.

Well. Secondary to that is wondering how Impa got hella' fit. She used to be this dumpy old maid lady. I guess it's young Impa...? I miss those comics. Technically still have one or two laying around... somewhere... but still.

I haven't read either series. Harry Potter because I decided it was crap, and Wheel of Time because it's too sodding long.
HP's honestly decent enough up until... half-blood prince, I think? Either that one or the one before. S'a reason a lot of fanfiction for it starts during or after OotP. If nothing else, I'll give it points because it's spawned more fanfiction than god. I mean, not that that's saying much since bible/vedas/whatever fanfics are fairly niche, but the point stands.

I totes sympathize with not reading something because of length, though. I mean, that's a strange thing to say coming from a person that's devoured several million+ word individual works, but I completely understand that kind of vague foreboding when you're looking at word count or whatever and it's just... huge. It's like your brain is kinda' nudging you going, "Are... are you sure that's going to fit?" and then making vaguely suggestive hand motions. S'a little intimidating. Especially if you're one to feel compelled to finish reading something you start reading and you know opening that first page means you're allocating several days/weeks/months/etc. of your life to reading this one piece of fiction.

I used to be into Harry Potter too until I read LotR.
Hobbit's where it's at. I could never manage to actually get through the LotR trilogy. Somewhere in the second or early parts of the third I just repeatedly stalled and could not push through. Forget exactly what it was, but it bored me to the point I actually put the book down and left it, which is something (putting down the work, not necessarily out of boredom) that's happened outside of fanfiction a number of times I don't even need two sets of fingers to count them.

But the Hobbit, yeesh. I think during my elementary school years I read that like... twenty times. Fun book for a lil' youngling. Mind you, this was like a decade or something before HP even existed but eh.

Whatever portion of our evolutionary history resulted in acid reflux can manifest an anthropomorphic form and go die in a fire. Or maybe shoved into something's esophageal tract and submerged in stomach acid until it melts. Screaming all the way.

Well, if by "tromped" you mean hit it a few times and then it ran away decided it had better things to do with its time...

Unless my memory's already failed me or there's a part I missed or something. All I really remember is metaphorically pissing myself at the thing's 10k hp and then kinda' praying it was some sort of timed event :P

Why cut it with a spoon.
Why not?

Beyond that, sometimes a spoon is all you have.

Lesson learned: Putting a handful of honey roasted peanuts into a bowl of ramen makes for delicious noodles.

Is...that possible?
Yup. Lot of hair loss et al is genetic, so far as I'm aware, but there's also an environmental/health factor. Stress, ferex, can cause hair thinning and hair loss, which promptly starts to go away when/if the stress does. S'other stuff like that, too, I do believe.

To be fair, I think we want to preemptively avoid any calls for Dr. Manhattan cosplay on the senate floor. Gigantic glowing dong may be what the american public deserves, but it's not what most of us want.

Good god those tabs. O_O
* SomeStupidGuy thinks he can see oblivion in those tabs.
(And that's not even getting into that fanfic...)
*mumbles something about it being a slow last few weeks*

Also those little > parts are hiding more tabs. I tried organizing a little. It... sorta' stuck. For a bit. Then it just started expanding again... eh.

E: Also, that fic is quite possibly the best X-Com/Ranma 1/2 / Ranma 1/2/Teen Titans fanfic in existence (Translation: it's a crossover between two crossovers!). Mostly because it's the only one, so far as I know, but also because it's pretty good! Also ridiculously lengthy, clocking in at 1.3 million words.

Yeah... hope you can break that habit, at some point :P

The amount of eye strain I caught from reading on the computer like, cut in half the day I went, "Ho sheee, I can zoom in!" Or increase the font size. It disappeared almost entirely when I figured out how/finally got arsed to adjust font/background colors, ha. Base font size with black text on a white background is a recipe for pain. Jump up the font (I read FF.N at something like 180% zoom) and put it on a nice, soothing background (I trend toward grey to dark-grey text on a very dark blue background, m'self) and everything just becomes... much nicer.*

Darkling is my preference. It's a bit harder to read sometimes but it's much easier on the eyes.
The trick is to just zoom in a bit. I browse the forum at a default of around 130%. Makes everything quite clear while still being blessedly easy on the eyes.
