Also right now some classes rely on some very slow mechanics which put them at a disvantage, such as rogue's bombs, which seem to simply take too long to activate and can hit allies as well to be of any serious use, it seems to me.
Bombs definitely need to be helped along to be of much use, which can kinda' make 'em... not very optimal, since you need allies wailing on the bomb instead of the enemy. Still, couple frogbots (or anything else with a low cost ranged attack, really) hitting it with their 1 AP/MP attacks and it blows up within a turn or two.

Robotoads are actually kinda' in the same position... being able to use their lazy chair of doom takes at least one turn setup, and probably more just to get it in position to start shooting. S'kinda' clumsy, honestly. Easy way to fix it would be to just add a WP cost to the chair button and have it deploy a rail underneath it instead of needing one there to begin with, methinks. Rogues could probably stand to get some kind of low-cost, non-enemy damaging, multi-hit ability to use to hurry along bombs, too. Or just a detonation button. Stuff like that.

Have fun with that headache form figuring out what infinite nothing would look like.
It'd look like yo' momma's fidelity, heyooo~

... y'know, it's been a while since I've seen a yo' momma' joke in the wild. Y'know, in person. A long, long time.

Maybe it's for the better?

Naaah, this is some kinda' funky physics breaking sumbaa~

It'd be perfectly spherical. Because fuck you dad laws of reality, I'mma' be the roundest belle at the stellar object ball and get aaaalllll the orbital objects :D

If my reading of the article was right, it's a very, very low-power thruster mostly only good for satellites. Possibly space probes as well. No starships yet, sadly :/
Then again... if it just runs off the zappy, chunk a buggerhump load of solar panels on a thingy and many dozen of the things instead of, y'know, fuel or whatever. If quality fails, turn to quantity! Or maybe just a really big one. Low power thruster up in space still gets things moving given some time.

Clogged ears maaay be accompanied by infection, by the by. If you can't do something about it at home, you might want to schedule a quick doctor's appointment. They probably won't do anything but power wash your ear out quicklike and check for bleeding/infection/whatever, but it might be better safe than sorry. Especially if your friends/family/etc. have no idea how to deal with such.

What's the deal with neti pots, anyway? Why not just use saline spray?
Because some people are bughumping insane and want to jam a spigot up their nostril. Insofar as I can tell, anyway.

Slightly biased in my appraisal of the product, though. The person who approaches me with a neti pot has a >50% chance of acquiring grounds for an assault case. Is one of those things that draw an entirely visceral NOPE reaction followed by application of tire iron until pot or pot carrier has ceased recognizable shape. Sweet monkey jesus keep those things away from me, gah.

... in contrast, while I haven't been able to play too terribly much because it stresses my poor computer like buggery, I've enjoyed the few hours I've sunk into LR. I'll agree the main character is kinda' meh, but like half the supporting cast is kinda' great and the plot I've seen so far was hilarious (albeit unintentionally, I think). Combat interesting enough if you liked Ogre Battle and have already played it to death (Hello! That's me.), and varying sorta' interesting and/or neat junk going on. It's not an A-list game, I wouldn't say, but solid low-B or high-C, sure. Worth a few bucks if you can get it for cheap.

Ah, beef jerky; a meat so unremarkable, yet I find myself still drawn to it. What are your secrets, oh beef jerky?
It is a secret shared by many types of jerky, actually. Not just beef. Turkey, bacon, chicken, so on, so forth. Jerked meat is amazing. If it weren't so damned expensive I would eat it all the time :-\

Have you actually seen a punching bag in person? They're smug bastards, and they probably buggered your most beloved pet while your back was turned. If anything in the world deserves a jab to the throat, it's them.

Even though most of them don't have throats.

Yeah, I wasn't making (or intending to make, anyway) a statement on whether it was unhealthy or not -- just that it's not something that's necessarily going to cause hallucinations, which is what the article was about :P

Though yeah, I've had summers in the past whether I probably spent more days playing through the night than not -- definitely would call it a habit at that point, and still no hearing/seeing things beyond the usual. And so far as I'm aware, people indulge in notably unhealthy periods of varying activities (TV is perhaps the most regular one, with work either before or after that in terms of likelihood) quite often without most of them, y'know, beginning to hallucinate. S'like the article seemed to actually be saying -- the phenomena in question is something that only happens to a portion of the population, not everyone.

Really, the question is why this person only has one kitchen spoon. Is there only one spoon in the entire house? Are the spoons all kept in non-kitchen rooms? Is this roommate defecating upon the spoon in protest of spoon paucity? Are any laws being broken in this situation? The questions are manifold, actually.

... so you could say FJ jobs on 'is foot, then. Occasionally.

Is that a role reversal, or...?

Yeah, I've been off for a while. Mostly 'cause I've been sick enough to not really feel like playing for the last week or so :-\

That, and knowing your character loses pointy access when it hits 60 made me a little disheartened.

Unhealthy habits are unhealthy. Playing games consequently for long amounts of time is bad for us, both physically and mentally. This isn't something we can deny just because a bunch of overly excited censorship advocates are out there screaming "GAMES MAKE YOU CRAZY".
Can deny it's a necessary consequence of such practices, though.* Least I would, having been there, done that (more than once in the case of the two-days-straight and several dozen times in the case of playing through the night), and experienced no hallucinations (of the nature described, anyway**). So it's not so much "unhealthy habits are unhealthy" as "certain portions of the population have particular reactions to specific habits", evidentially unhealthy or not (since there were apparently those that experienced the phenomena with considerably less contributing factors than overnight or 48 hour gaming binges).

I do have to say, though, I'd love to see the study expanded if similar ones haven't already been done. Seems obvious to me you should see similar reactions from reading, watching TV, and music (the catchy tune phenomena is an obvious parallel) at the very least -- I'd guess other stuff as well, such as writing, working, and so on. Anything a person might do for an extended period.

E2: What would be really interesting would be if they could get the same study groups (along with other, different, ones of course) in on said other experiments, to see if it's medium specific or influenced, or not.

*E: Which I don't remember the article stating, but your wording suggests it a bit, so making the statement above to kinda' preemptively nip the concept in the bud.
**Visual snow yadda yadda 24/7 visual hallucinations etc.

... keeping yourself in shelter and sustenance, putting a bit away for your future, and spending time with friends and/or loved ones when you can, all while not hurting the people around you or yourself. That's kinda' the basic check list, I think. After that, it's pretty much whatever so long as the list stays checked.

If... if you've not got those fulfilled, well, you know where you are: Working toward whatever isn't checked off. Hopefully.
