I actually found this some time ago, but I stumbled across it again while I was listening to normal music...

Is everything pokemon with you?

I mean...this is Bay12, home of...uh... Dwarf fortress
... you do realize there's a pretty huge number of pokemon players, some of them quite intensely, on this forum, right?

Really, there's a lot of thematic interact between the two games. Overlord and psychotic master of drunk critters, overlord, slave owner, and psychotic master of sentients forced into bloodsport rings for the entertainment of the  masses... it's not surprising there's overlap between pokemon and DF players. At all.

John Nash (yes, that John Nash) is speaking at my college this Friday. Unless something goes very wrong, I'll be attending.
... Dude's website is kinda' amazing.

Incidentally, is that happening anywhere near north florida? Dunno if I would understand a single word said, but it might be interesting to listen anyway :P

Mm... yeah, point. I was thinking more in the directed sense, as this'un seems to be. Pull together or push apart is one thing, but that's fairly... undirected? I guess. This seems to be like a party wide tiny toss, if I'm reading it right. Bit like gragas's ult, I guess.

Which is kinda' awesome, but it also sounds faintly ridiculous.

So they've revealed Gnar.

AND OH GOD HE'S THE CUTEST FUCKING THING EVER!!!!
*goes and looks*

It... it's a gremlin wereboar. I think I'm okay with that.

E: Sweet zeus that e-r combo looks terrifying. Spread the hell out or your entire team gets slammed into a wall and stunned ;_;

Actually, does anything in the game right now have the potential to move an entire enemy team in one go, as that ult seems to?

Can someone please tell me who the fuck Nash Grier is and why the hell tumblr is obsessed with him?
This person, apparently. Seems to be some idiot kid that got some internet popularity by doing stuff tumblr presumably dislikes.

I thought it was open-mouthed guy with shut eyes.
it's a sad clown with one of those giant noses

Wouldn't the Tea Army be fighting over the same thing, though?
After all, everyone who has their tea without milk is a complete nutjob and not to be trusted. Common knowledge, that.
Why would you add milk?  The only things that should ever be added to tea are several cups of sugar and ice.  I still wonder how people can drink tea without either sugar or ice.  Because then all you are doing is drinking hot water that has had weeds or something in it. (I have no idea what they make tea stuff with).
No sugar. Maybe a bit of honey, but no sugar* D:

And yes, it is basically hot water (which can be nice) with boiled plant things in it, which can also be nice. Excessive sweetness can get in the way of the (potentially nice) taste. Still haven't found something that really deals with the aftertaste, but at least it's not as bad as coffee's**.

* Well, with normal, water based, tea. Soda tea*** comes with more sugar than god just due to the base so whatever.
** Caveat: I've had coffee like three times, one of which was pure, untouched, Colombian and just about knocked me on my arse or something. It was horrible. Even less strong stuff just tastes nasty t'me, though, especially the aftertaste. Smells really good, though! Shame about the taste. And all the caffeine.
*** E: For the uninitiated, soda tea is the miraculous variation on tea where instead of boiling water and steeping the whatever, you boil mountain dew or something along those lines. Is verra' sweet!

(is trans-sexuality a psychological feature, too?)
... what does this have to do with the discussion on sexual preference? Transsexuality doesn't really have anything in particular to do with that. Is an issue with gender identification, not sexual preference, so far as I'm aware. Verra' different things.

Separate discussion being such, I do think some areas are beginning to treat trans as a legitimate psychological issue of some sort or another. With appropriate treatment: Gender reconstruction and hormone therapy, after which the person in question is psychologically normal for their (previously misaligned) gender and operates as well as anyone. 'Course, there's plenty of bigots/ignorant individuals up in arms about nationalized medical systems or anything remotely resembling them actually forking out money to fix the issue in question, but what can you do? You've got people that value what they view as "normalcy" over others' health and sanity in every society, s'far as I know.

Still, it is certainly not biologically normal behaviour, and as such should be considered a problem.
And here is kinda' the fundamental problem with the way you're thinking, methinks. Something not being biologically normal behavior (though note: Homosexuality is biologically normal, by everything I've seen. Relatively low probability, but normal) does not mean it's a problem. It means it's different, but whether that's an problem is an entirely separate consideration.

E: But nah, the stronger reason why it's not considered a problem is that homosexuality has no meaningful effect on psychological functioning. It is little-to-no more impactful on how you think and how you function than preferring brunettes over blondes. Has no impact on work ethic, morals, intellectual or physical capability, the vast, vast majority of social interaction... it's a non-harmful sexual preference, and that's it. Which is why it's not a problem.

No cheese, no ;_;

No putting tiny drills in your coffee.

E: Unless they're tiny drills made out of chocolate, I guess. Do they do that? Mine is the drill that will pierce the cavity filling?

Nope, I mean something like 'mothership' from science fiction.

Which is of course nonsense. Ukraine is the mother of Russia.
No, no, it makes perfect sense. Mothership in sci-fi sense: Xeno invader coming in and anal probing all your cows, kidnapping people and killing/experimenting on them, etc., so forth, so on. Like... X-Com mothership, y'ken? Seems fairly close to apt, t'me.

17891
You say that like chocolate syrup on top of chocolate ice cream saturated with chocolate mousse isn't the best chocolate thing in the history of all chocolate things. Chococestuous orgy inside my mouth ;_;7

17892
There's no real need to weaponize it. Extendoneck cows would be strictly inferior in combat capability to normal cows, which are primarily useful as ammo, disguised explosives, and disease vectors, the first of which would be made more difficult due to awkward neck shenanigans and the latter interfered with by their freakish eldritch deformity making people and other cows avoid them like the r'lyehian plague.

Awkwardly, without much useful information, and poorly. Plenty of places in the states manage it!

17894
I just want you to know that if I saw a cow extend its neck up to the roof of a decently sized one-story building, I would flip the hell out.

And probably burn the surrounding countryside to the ground, just to be sure.

Awesome. I'm seriously relieved, but that's probably because I was mostly remembering Durandall, the author of Kyon: Big Damn Hero, who did in fact pass away, and that made me sad and really worried about it happening to other authors who make awesome fic.
Well, to further relieve you Helminths just got updated like 40 minutes ago or something. So... enjoy, et al.

E:
Naruko Uzumaki To The Victor goes the Spoils: Pretty damn good.
This... probably shouldn't be linked to, on this forum. It involves lemons with 12 year olds within the first 10 chapters :-\
