I had to look up what Nuzlocke meant.
It sounds reeeeally frustrating :(
I think the concept is more than a little absurd :V

I like some aspects of it, but for the most part it just really turns me off.
It's considerably more fun to watch, or read narratives based on, nuzlocke runs than to actually play them, insofar as I've been able to tell. They've produced some pretty compelling stories over the years.

... so is there any context to that that might make the statement less ridiculous, or is that guy just playing it straight? Because if the latter, well. Kentucky needs to stop lobotomizing its politicians. They have enough trouble with the brain without it actively being removed.

I don't remember the woodsy bits in LttP being all that bad... admittedly, it's been a ruddy long time since I last played through LttP, but still.

Again, what does israel suppose to do? just let them fire anti tank missiles from mosques? dig offensive tunnels from hospitals? shoot rockets from schools? evidently, the world doesn't care if they do, so what should we do?
Find a way to deal with it that doesn't involve destroyed civil infrastructure and a multiplicative body count, maybe. There's a means somewhere between gunning down fleeing children and destroying vital infrastructure, and just sitting on your thumbs.

That said, the world does care -- folks have been condemning hamas and other terrorist groups pretty much the entire bloody time. That's not going to excuse israel when they're acting on the same level.

17975
... and it's statements like that is why israel is apparently losing a PR war with a terrorist organization evidentially willing to use children and civilian targets to deter attacks. You don't get free reign to commit war crimes because the other side is doing it. When you're the side that's gunning down kids and blowing up hospitals, it pretty much stops mattering why you're doing it. You're gunning down kids and blowing up hospitals. You've pretty close to lost any and all justification for your actions. There's no so-called "necessity" in the world that's going to excuse that.

And no, certain other nations getting away with shit like that doesn't excuse it either. Sorry. Y'all have screwed the pooch. Hard. Maybe this time the rest of the world will actually react, I'unno.

I had an interesting idea inspired partially by league. It might interest some of you.

It's certainly the right word for a fair number of people's reactions at this point.

Really should just stop checking the thread, as it's pretty much stopped producing any conversation of note or worth regarding the game, but I keep hoping that maybe this time it'll be something besides kicking the dead horse some more. But nope. Kick kick kick.

Ah, remembered the Uplift series stuff. Only read one or two of them, and I think out of order at that, but I vaguely remember it to be pretty decent.

Honor Harrington stuff? There's even some of it up for free over on baen's stuff. Could have sworn more of it was released to the wilds at some point, but maybe that got took down, I'unno.

... this is the first time I've ever seen the word "emoji". Were this a kind and merciful world, it would also be the last.

Alas, the world is not kind or merciful, never mind both.

Yeah... at this point, I'm pretty sure the only reason I haven't been domkilled is because there's probably a good twenty to thirty telestic animations split between my remaining forts. T'was starting to drop notably for me before I started up that regime (largely to help deal with mict's demons, but still). Now m'actually making some little gains, here and there, though I'm pretty sure a concentrated dom push from pretty much anyone would shuffle poor squidland off the map.

Mind you, a concentrated pretty much anything else, besides abject surrender, would shuffle squidland off the map too, but the point stands.

Chase the chicken before it gets pissed off enough to murder you and make you do the whole thing over again.
