Of humans. From what little I can recall right now, many of his encounters with intelligent non-human entities were pretty belligerent, especially when said critters were encroaching on human turf.

I don't think Jesus ever caused plagues to come down. I say this because I believe, if Jesus ever existed, he was never actually God.
Plus all the plagues are in the Old Testimony. Jesus was more about the healing side of matters according to the bible...
This strictly. is because the encounters with the cat people were never put to text. If they had been, the stuff Moses got up to would have been considered akin to the common cold.

And @ LW, Nurgle is the god of Love. You could replace YWHW with Nurgle and still make a disturbing amount of sense.

... my intro to anime was Eva, iirc, I think slightly before DBZ hit the states. Then Ranma, and around that point I found manga and fanfiction and the rest, as they say, is history. Haven't been doing much anime watching over the last few years, though... Kill la Kill was the last, and I never did get around to watching the last two episodes. Fair amount of manga and enough fanfiction to fill a decent, if somewhat small, library though, sure.

Yeaaahh... avoiding something doesn't necessarily mean you think it's bad, just that you don't like it. And in all fairness, especially for those who haven't be inoculated to the whole anime thing, it can be quite off-putting. Understanding and exposure (can) increase appreciation, but it's definitely something many folks can't just dive into.

And that's alright. *rainbow* more for me, huehuehuehue

Latest KSBD. Because screw you, suddenly dhalsim.

Also apparently descan doesn't know animu very well. Which I guess is okay.

On the other hand, I'm currently of the opinion that the best thing to have came out of the kantai collection is that critter that put Snake in Shimakaze's clothes. That's absolutely wonderful. E: Actually, there's a small set of them apparently done by a critter named ikuyoan. It is amazing.

Which major religious figure wouldn't, though? Jesus would totally ywhwkkake them with a thousand plagues, buddha would six finger death punch 9/10ths of their children, all the hindu critters would just tantric-murder them in an orgy of debauchery and genocide. I'm pretty sure most of our religious figures would have been consummate xenophobes if cat-people showed up. Assuming the cat-people didn't try every time another major one came up, only to get slaughtered again.

Yeaaah... if you want oldschool AI, just make a map that gives the computer 2-300% resource acquisition rate, omniscience, and probably some degree of production boost. Bam, AI of yesteryear.

No? Applesauce is just... well, mashed up apples. Mostly. Is tasty, though some people have trouble with the texture.

Also @ MZ, nah, not a speed thing, for me, anyway. It's less mess. No bowl, no spoons or whatev'. I see it as an efficiency improvement over the normal state of things. The quicker is a bonus, but not the goal.

The most amazing trick to applesauce is you can easily drink it straight from the container. Sorta' like the bastard spawn of a milkshake and apple juice.

I kinda want this game to be real now.
There's more than one game out there that lets you do that to varying extents, these days. GBA Lufia to a degree, pretty much the entire dragon quest monsters line, SMT, Tactics Ogre... s'just a sampling, that. Quite sure there's plenty more I'm forgetting. Enslaving your foes and forcing them to murder their friends and family isn't an entirely unknown mechanic. Not quite common, but it's faffing about.

That van is acceptable. All it might have tied up in the floorboard is a reporter who also happens to be an utter travesty of fashion and thus acceptable to be bound and dragged off into the sewers.

E: Remember kids: If you wear a yellow jumpsuit, turtles will come from the shadows and drag you off into the sewers, never to be seen again.

C'mon, say it with some vim, Serg. When things reach that level, there's naught left to do but engage in wordplay.

"The horse has been flogged until its corpse is nothing but ground meat, and now the thread is rolling around in the once-equine meat pile like a dog in a huge pile of shit."

See? Something like that. It's even particularly apt since not only is it making a huge stink, everyone involved comes out smelling bad as well! The perfect metaphor. Also simile, because hell yeah let's combine things just to make classification more confusing. And yes, that was self-aware. Terrible need of a shower, now.

No, that's definitely in the creepy van category. Maybe not quite dumpy (honestly, it's kinda' dumpy just by dint of being old), but definitely creepy. I would be inclined to distrust someone driving or riding in that vehicle. That's the kind of van that has college-aged people tied up in the floorboard against their will. Admittedly an improvement over the ones that have high-school and lower aged people tied up in the floorboard against their will, but still not a good thing.

We got a Jeep to replace our car which broke down and got towed. It has a cassette player. It's so damn old it has a cassette player and a lighter. It has been a long time since I have seen a car with a cassette player or a lighter.
... my car has a cassette player and lighter, too. I guess it's old*, but it's younger than me, so...

*'95 model. Not twenty yet!

It would be helpful if they set up some sort of dead-line...
If half-way watching video game development over the past couple decades has taught me anything, it's that publicly announced deadlines are never helpful. Some internal ones, sure, but I rather imagine they already have those.

Anyone have any interesting news from the modding side of things? Anything neat popped up in the past while?
