... my peepers must be broke, because it looked to me like someone becoming progressively less healthy/happy.

Oooorrr Arx just has an outsider's perspective on your actions that differs from your own evaluation thereof. S'pretty common when you're heavily depressed and whatnot. Own worst critic is self, lens of negativity colors others actions unduly, etc., etc.

Gods know I look at people like they're crazy often enough when I get praised for something, but I do realize they look at things I consider unworthy of recognition as otherwise. Self-depreciation can only go so far before it stops being honest appraisal and starts being self-deception. We're rarely as terrible as we think we are, really.

Also possible is that something has just gone bonkers. I keep seeing point totals go in reverse for a few seconds >_>

Depends on what you mean by boonies, but the short answer is "Both", by this area's standards. I've had it happen in cities with population in the 50k+ range, the 150k+ range, and towns in the <1k range. So. Yeah. I mean, with the town it kinda' makes sense -- I know the water manager doohicky well enough, and he is a drunkard who has been known to peddle drugs out of city vehicles (The answer to "How is this fuck not fired and/or in jail?" seems to be "blackmail", as far as anyone with sense can figure.) -- but the larger areas, less so.

But tap water contains CHEMICALS
Yeah man, the dihydrogen monoxide content in tap water is way too high for human consumption.
The other stuff content in it kinda' is too high for regular Frumple consumption, though. Or at least something about whatever they're doing to it in this general area is. Consistently get dangly-throat-thing swelling from drinking tap water for more than a day or two :-\

Which... is painful. Bad painful. Can't swallow without it feeling like someone's taking a knife to my throat. Also can't really swallow anything non-liquid at all. Really sucky way to spend... several days, each time (experimentation to isolate main causal factor is important! Especially when the consulted doctors say, "I don't know wtf is causing this or what it is.").

Available on Youtube if that helps. I hope it does, at least a little.
*waggles hand* It was more sadness for the tape than what was on it. Thing was probably... almost 20 years old? Was still working, too, until the VCR ate it. Now there's just a lonely volume 2 tape sitting on the dresser.

Was checking it for a grandparent more than anything... when it comes to media acquisition via internet, am old dab hand and whatnot.

Sentiment appreciated, though, yeah.

I think you misunderstand, I'm trying to kill my commanders as fast as possible, so someone will destroy this terrible, terrible nation.

I've been subbing Mictlan for weeks now and I am eagerly awaiting its end.
Please finish me off, if you know, can.
I would if I could, haha. And by haha I mean I'm just going to sit here letting elementals futilely try to kill off your commanders until something dies or your other problems actually start tearing up your lands. The really sad bit is I'm fairly sure you actually have more income and whatnot than I do. For a few more turns, anyway.

I feel for you, though, I really do. Poor squidlings have enough research to destroy worlds but no basically casters and no gems to leverage it. I can wreck like maybe one army and then I'm done. I mean, I'm already done, really, just... more done. Could probably get that army of yours off my capital, but even if I did the fight on the defensive with the castle to help out I'd still be losing... lots of stuff. Stuff I probably couldn't replace, haha! So I wait.

I don't suppose one of you lot have the chalice and would be willing to let me borrow it long enough to get mute off my pretender, eh? I can pay, like... two gold. And maybe an astral pearl! One pearl. Don't really have anything else.

... yeah, given that I probably would be trying to avoid them as much as possible.

In minor sads, I just managed to pretty much destroy an old jackie chan video tape (First volume of the Fearless Hyena, for what that's worth, box art from '95) by seeing if it'd work in an apparently junky VCR player. Thing caught the tape part of the tape and snapped it :-\

Well, if it's worth effort... not like you can't copy over (and appropriately adjust) registry values, too.

Ogre Battle 64's definitely pretty great, for what that's worth. Mind you, I say that being incredibly biased because the Ogre Battle combat system is basically my favorite game mechanic, period, but...

Actual guess is that it's either not on the N64 or it's one of the RPG games for it. Which... there isn't a very large list, either way. For what it's worth, here is a list of N64 RPGs, and here's one of strategy. There's... not very many of them.

Yeah, that does sound kinda' harsh. Maybe more bearable after working space or something to be used for, say, jump, but... I'll have to think about it. Or get a controller, which... eh.

18313
Maybe just copy over java wholesale? Forget if that works or not. Mainly because I've never actually tried it. But it might be worth a shot.

... elaborate a little? I've been playing stuff like that on keyboard for... a while now (Pretty much all of the "like X" I listed, really), and it's usually fairly painless. Also have access to autohotkey and whatnot if it came to it -- remapping is a matter of will, not program limits :P

Heh. Point of minor correction: Disciples teams can be... arbitrarily large, so far as I'm aware. Not just two folks. You could have a 6v6 match or something along those lines fairly easily. The B12 one is currently rocking 4x3 -- four teams of three players. Definitely a very different sort of beast.
