Recipes make everything easier~

And the internet is just ridiculously, massively full of recipes. It plus just a wee smidgen of knowhow re: not burning down the kitchen and pretty close to the entire culinary world stands before you.

I... I don't actually remember terribly much about it. Nor if it would fit criteria, because I can't remember anything of the very few on that list I've seen any of. And also I don't exactly watch much in the way of TV. Or movies. But.

Lexx? I remember it being fairly odd as sci-fi shows go. Just... don't ask me why. It's been years, and I never saw terribly much of it.

No need to look left when you can just turn right a few more times and get the same panorama.

This does make navigation considerably more complicated, though. Figuring out how to get places while only making right turns is a heckuva' task.

Perhaps the better chain is that righteousness is rightness and there are few things as right as metal. If anything is righteous, 'tis metal. Know that when you shred, God stands and listens, for you play on the strings of its heart torn screaming into reality.

Oh gods. Treant x Maokai OTP.

Someone, please. Make it be truth. Hot wood on wood action, bark flying everywhere, entire countryside covered in sap. The love story of the millennium. Forests will collide. Repeatedly.

E: Ahahaha, yeessss. The Internet Protects! There's pictures! Though apparently nothing explicit. Or notably romantic looking, but whatever. Characters have been shipped with less grounding.

I would... disagree rather strongly that you can teach respect of authority with violence. You can teach fear of authority with violence -- easily, along with resentment of, anger toward, and so on -- but respect takes... y'know, more than that. Something whose power comes from violence isn't a thing to be respected, it's a ruddy environmental hazard. That's not something of merit, it's something to be manipulated and worked around. Fear and respect are incredibly bloody different, and insofar as I've seen they're more inimical to each other than anything else. You can see it really ruddy easy in places with a corrupt police force, if you're looking for a real world example.

You teach respect of authority through proof the authority is warranted -- demonstrated expertise, effectiveness, insight, and so on. Known risk, in the case of more negative respect like what is (or, at least, should be) shown towards dangerous but useful things such as firearms and vehicles -- and even then, that's only a facsimile of respect because of their positive capabilities. If it weren't for those, the damned things would definitely not get something you could call respect, and they'd get a hell of a lot more if that risk didn't exist. But I'd honestly say you could cook up a second word for that sort of respect and have a more accurate language left over -- they're significantly different things, and the former is the only thing I'd call genuine respect. The latter is just something we dress up useful things that can kill us with, presumably so we don't view them as negatively as we probably should.

Kinda' feel sorry for that effective grad student, though. Big opportunity for whoever it was, and interoffice politics crushed it. Maybe (probably) for the better, insofar as the organization's effectiveness goes, but... poor critter.

And tomorrow I'm going with her to court.
... wait, what? Don't... don't do anything on the judge's stand that will get you arrested, Hans.

I'd be down throwing a vote behind Bob. Just Bob, though.

Yeah, don't exactly have flat out statistics for it, but in the couple decades of playing video games, with the hundreds of different ones played and the pretty certainly many thousands of hours invested by this point, I've definitely seen more of vector's position than, well... others being expressed in the immediate conversation. By a fairly notable margin. If Vec's living in a bubble, it's one that apparently stretches from the west to the east coast of the USA. It's definitely there if you go looking, but also impressively easy to overlook if you've been in the video game realm for a long time. Stuff sneaks up on you, and it's only be relatively recently (past year or four, maybe) for me I've actively started noticing some of this stuff, and realizing how egregious (and asymmetrical) stuff like death animations trend toward. Bit off-putting, even, some days. Sexualized violence can be more than a little unsettling under most (all?) conditions.

And yeeaaaah, there's a significant portion of the gaming population that I've interacted with that do go for the metaphorical pickle tickler. And the correlation between notably oversexualized female characters and sales has been a thing since before video games even existed, whereas a comparable one for oversexualized or overidealized male bodies just... doesn't exist. There's a hell of a lot more variation in physical form for the fellows in the video game world than the ladies and whatnot, and if that's not directed and widespread intent I'm incredibly confuse as to what the blazes is going on here.

Just throwing some $0.02 USD out there, I guess.

... so who won the fight?

Ask not of the mystery of the Holey Fedora. Its secrets are ones best left unknown, unconsidered, and most especially untouched.

Seriously, get away from that thing. Grody as grody can be.

Ah. Yeah, it's a "better than nothing" thing, more than anything. Plenty of businesses (particularly notably being schools, which can have a ripple effect in regards to stuff like this) are after federal money, and even if their particular jurisdiction is run by bigoted asshats they'll try to (at least nominally, which is better than not at all) bring their business in line with federal regs. Basically, it's an economic means of social propagation used when other means (blanket, local, protection, etc.) isn't working -- businesses that play nice get more money, and thus (probably) outperform those that don't, eventually killing the competition and leaving nothing but complying companies. When you can get jack-all through the legislative system, it's one of the few tools you have available, heh.

Okay, mad props for running a Swordcraft Story LP. Bloody love those things. I've completely played through 1 & 2, and parts of... some third one that was never translated, but seemed better mechanically than either of those, so... am fan, ha.

As for gender, I am contractually obligated by a love of yuri innuendo to recommend girl.

I am also contractually obligated by a consistent naming pattern to suggest she be named Jack.
