*shrugs* Next time I run into it, probably. Didn't make saves and log copies and whatnot last time, and without those a report is more or less useless. Especially considering it's been reported already, for wights. And that particular bug -- lingering wight thunderstorms and whatnot -- has been around for... quite some time. Couldn't say how long, exactly, but at least a good half-dozen versions or better.

Honestly, Opera's the only one I've had respond relatively reasonably to several hundred tabs open, so far. Firefox goes into ramsplosion mode, IE usually crashes before it even reaches that point, and I just don't like Chrome's aesthetics, so... yeah.

18408
Nah, it definitely tries to close it. I know with browsers that can sometimes take a while, though.

Especially once you've opened up enough tabs to convince it to chew up over a gig of ram or whatnot. Or two gigs. Or... three. Y'know, whatever. What's several hundred tabs between hardware and owner, besides failure and screaming and melted silicon?

"Or something." Getting the effect with vista, here.

... not that it's really a problem. Just another way to close the window, one on the other side of the screen and triggered in a way far less likely to accidentally go off.

Proper OS, perhaps. That's a general windows effect, not browser specific.

Damnit, games. Why must you make me laugh, so?

Started up a new game of Tactics Ogre, the PSP version. Managed to do something I'd never done before. In the one turn of combat you get in the very initial bit, before the game takes over, it turns you can...

... you can peg Warren in the back of the head with a rock. Beautiful. Irreverent. Completely unacknowledged by the game. But I can just imagine the poor old guy. Going down the street, buddies around him, suddenly bam cobblestone to his precious old man cranium. Stoning the elderly for fun and... well, no profit. Just fun.

Ohey, I know that feeling. Would probably recommend doctor, because if it is an infection of some sort you're about to be in for at least a few days of a fairly notable hell.

Fun thing for me? I've had tap water in this general area consistently induce that very reaction for the last several years. Sometimes even if it's filtered. It's been more than a little irritating, haha.

Words build bridges into unexplored nether regions.
Taylor Swift Adolf Hitler Wilde
FTFY.

Little is known of the child of Adolf Hitler and Oscar Wilde, but truly she was a paragon of wisdom, if unfortunately named.

... neither do I. Nor do most of the several hundred people I've personally seen exposed to both names, multiple times, over the course of my life. Some things you pick up by cultural osmosis. The pair's been notably present in (english language, anyway) media for a few decades now. Don't think they pop up as often nowadays, but a substantial portion of, at least, anyone older than probably sixteen, seventeen or so, will probably have heard the names come up enough time to recognize them.

Rickenbacker and stratocaster are both rather famous names in guitar, dutchling. To the point that, yeah, they're kinda' common knowledge, stratocasters especially.

R... R-type Tactics. The. The little repair-ship thing. The purple one.

It is one of the cutest ships I have ever seen. It's just... it has little graspy things. And a drill. And a little eye-camera whatsit that's off-center and asymmetrical and wonderful and I want to take one home and love it and squeeze it and call it george while it flaps around and does the graspy thing aaaaaahhhh sweet zeus right in the squeebox what is this madness.

It's really too bad they're so bloody slow in-game as to be basically unusable, but by the gods I love looking at it. Graspy-thiiiings *clip clip*

The actual question is "Could we get a gun license system through" and... right now, and for a while now, there's been significant efforts to prevent pretty much anything like that, here in the states. There's apparently a lot of people willing to make tremendous stinks about how they couldn't live with a gun license system.

E: Also, yeah, caring about the finer points of Shia theology would probably make striking a deal with Iran a helluva' lot easier/more likely.

You'd think they'd have some better armour than leather.
I think it's more likely that armor is ceremonial in some way. Pretty sure the last dragon-critter wore roughly the same thing at times, didn't he? Alternately enchanted or whatev'. Or actually magitech!kevlar lined or somethin', who knows.

Edit: Question. Apparently you need, as I think is logical to take classes to own a tazer. Do you need to do the same for light handguns?
In the states? Well, it depends on the state. But Florida? No. No gun license, no requirements for training, no nothing (Beyond a background check. Sometimes.) to purchase and own. Not even much of an age restriction, iirc (16+ to own, 18+ to purchase? Something like that. It might be even younger for ownership.). You have to attend and pass a course to get a concealed carry permit around here, but the course in question is (or can be, anyway -- it may vary by area) a goddamn farce that might as well not exist -- the bigger barrier there is processing fees and whatnot.

Mm... fairly recently, I did run into a situation where there was an invisible jelly spitting at me in daikara. And by invisible, I mean non-existent -- blanketing the area in AoEs hit nothing, despite the jelly happily spitting at me the whole time. 'Tis bug, of some sort.
