Pollinate while you propagate operational security. Sounds like the NSA Harvard is trying to net the green vote.

Everyone who is a terrorist probably does buy petrol, for what that's worth. Or at least petrol based products and accessories.

Hrrgg. That reminded me that one annoyed me. Adventure isn't inimical to not living an interesting life -- when that particular curse (which is actually "may you live in interesting times", but either works considering it was made from whole cloth anyway*) talks about interesting, it's not talking about what sort of life you live. Interesting, in that case, just means something's gone tits up hard enough history notices. And no one sane wants that. History only notices when something goes to shit, barring a few incredibly rare exceptions.

*Attributed to the chinese, but... nope. Apparently the closest to it is "rather live as a dog in peaceful times than to live as a human in turbulent times." Wikipedia teaches us all new things.

Wait wait wait...how is the 90s South responsible for keeping you from swing? Squirrel Nut Zippers were huge down here in the late 90s.
Apparently not huge enough. I can't recall ever hearing of them. Maybe they didn't make it down to north florida?

To be more accurate, perhaps, 90s era backwoods southern hellhole. Just about the only music I heard until like my mid/early teens (and more expansive control over personal internet use) was rock, country, and gospel. And a little bit of classical and bluegrass, but never in public and the latter only at family gatherings (there was/is a state level fiddle player in the relatively near family). That was it. No swing, nothing from other countries, no jazz (no fucking jazz what the hell), no electronic anything, no freaking heavy metal barring the one or two off shots that managed to reach radio, barely any blues/R&B/soul, basically no disco (how?!) just... the list goes freaking on. Let it not be said that the area I was in had any diversity in music tastes. Any.

The internet saved my musical soul ;_;

Don't get to breath if you ain't got that swing. Doowapdoow-urk
FTFY~ Swingsassins represent, yo'. Thousand and one ways to kill a man with a trumpet, and we know one thousand and two.
There was an 18 piece band, and four of the guys in it have been doing it in the same building every week for 30 years.
That's... pretty impressive.

I am contractually obligated to agree with you that swing is the best thing. Even if you weren't saying that. Especially if you weren't, with a side order of hunting you down and making you say it, yes.

... okay, it's more like obligated due to blood but whatever. Great-grand pappy* was a drummer in a circus swing band. It took years before I actually heard any swing of note (damn the 90s era south), but the first day I did was a good day indeed.

*Never met the guy, but I did feel the grooves he had drummed into the arm rest of a chair.

That would be the dungeon keeper roguelike, yes. Forum thread.

There aren't any illusionary walls, no (/Advanced Illusion/ mentions them, but the book for that doesn't exist so *shrug*). There is illusionary terrain, but the spells in question are either level 6 (and thus the only way you're getting it is multitude or perk) or in a book that doesn't exist. Well... theoretically you might be able to get /hallucinatory terrain/ if you can manage to get 4th level casting as a twilight huntsman.*

Insofar as I'm aware, disbelief in regards to illusions currently are regarding pretty much only damage, yes. It really shouldn't be, though. It's not until the 5th level spell /Advanced Illusion/ (which, to be fair, is also in that book that doesn't exist :-\) that secondary effects are mentioned as something that should be happening... near as I can tell from it, lower level illusions (barring the shadow line, and that should have its effects cut down appropriately -- 1/5th the DC or magnitude when disbelieved, etc.) shouldn't be causing secondary effects at all -- no blinding from sunscorch, no fear auras or whatnot, etc., so forth, so on.  Disbelieved or not.

That's definitely not how it was working at the point choose took over, or now, though.

*... let me go test that real quicklike. And... nope. No, a priest 3/TH 8 cannot learn any forth level spells (this is despite having the spell slots for them. Actually, it looks like twilight huntsman spell access is entirely borked. They're not getting anything from their spell list.

Don't forget it's the one place in the game you can have the effects of both a Mark 3 logistics and military command station. Throw a full load of trader junk in there, too, and you've got ridiculous force multipliers bleeding from your every orifice and almost nothing can escape. Admittedly that's something like a minimum of twenty million metal down the road but details, details.

Well, romance novels are quite a bit less explicit. They only hint at what porn fully shows.
Let's just say that every romance novel I've actually read disagrees with you :P

Also all the ones I've skimmed through in morbid curiosity. I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- I've read lemons less explicit than that stuff. And yes, I'm sure I wasn't reading erotica.

As for the hunger, it's mostly just that my appetite is generally very much tied to my activity levels, with a side order of involvement. The less active I am and the more engrossed in something, the less I (notice) hunger.

And then it's a day later and I can't really walk straight and whoops. S'been this way since mid-teens, however long ago that was. Try to ignore hunger pangs long enough and eventually you do *shrugs*

...How do you go that long without food without noticing.
Roughly the same way it took so long to notice the WTF thread had responses. You get distracted. Combine that with not moving much during the period and I just... don't notice. Until I start getting a bit shaky or whatev' and go, "Oh, right. Food."

Now she's being indirect and sending me all these "porn is bad for you" images.
Really, what you need to do now is pull up all the varying amounts of research saying otherwise and send them in response.

Though... does your mother happen to read romance novels? Because if so, you've got a "massive hypocrite" banner to wave back at her :P

I have! I could definitely forgive ser Boksi for leaving the building. It's a bit of a mess over here. By which I mean I'm not sure every ounce of my flailing will be able to do much better than the AI would if one of you folks actually decide to squish me, haha. There's... really not much left, and most of what is isn't in very good shape.

Still. There's gems left, and some bodies. I'll flitter away the treasury and then die screaming, I think.

Though out of curiosity, if y'all don't mind sharing, have you lot been systematically slaughtering all the starspawn or has r'lyeh just not been fielding them? I've inherited, like. Six.

And, uh. Did boksi have any ongoing arrangements with anyone?

That feeling when you suddenly notice you're feeling rather iffy, crunch the numbers, and realize it's been something like 26 hours since the last time you ate.

Time to cook breakfast ;_;
