Here's the apparent rest of the story, from earlier in the thread where it first came up. Tl;dr: Guy was probably bugnuts, and unlike most people could actually afford to put himself in a mental hospital, so that instead of prison. At least assuming the sealed envelopes and whatnot weren't massive bribe checks *shrugs*

Nah, it's neither. I think the game I'm thinking about is much older than that (2000? Late nineties? not sure)
It, uh. Might not be the most helpful of things, but it's almost certainly on this list.

... are you kidding? That's ridiculously easy. It's aiming while you're reading and firing a gun that's the hard part.

Yeaaah... "compatriot" being the important bit.

He simply belongs.
Spock actually kinda' doesn't belong, if I remember my Vulcans right. They're ridiculously overemotional if I'm not misremembering, they just hide it really well.

What books? I think those all got struck from canon. They're doubly star wars fanfiction now.
Blazes if I know. The last time I read one, they were all canon, but there was only maybe a couple dozen or so. Some point a little after the Young Jedi stuff started coming out.

1: I don't know how I'd find that out
If you're in the states, I'm relatively certain that the entirety or near-entirety of your state laws have to be online, these days. Probably check whatever local courthouse site exists (which it will.). If not, swing by a court house or something and ask around. Most stuff along those lines have a rider involved saying that they have to be provided free of charge to the public if requested.

Y'know, thinking on it, I kinda' wonder if Ackbar's actor knows he or she is going to be known long after death by that sole and singular line. And... what do they think about it? What view do you have on your life when you're going to be remembered in the centuries future because of an image macro and one-off line in a film, and probably nothing else?

Same. I'd also love to disable my shut down button. It's right next the increase volume one Dx
Well... you could. Particularly if you were willing to take apart the case. Just... get in there and take the button out.

Eh, s'the ruddy antichrist. It can multitask even if it does use both hands.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Ackbar, and no. You didn't have "IT'S A TRAP!" as a spoiler title.

Here it is sufficiently set:

Well. I guess my computer just happens to be part of the overwrite master race. Bow down ye' plebs, and tremble at my ability to correct mistakes without pressing the delete or backspace key, or highlighting anything.

*waggles hand* Half serious. Cribbing memories after the last time I read through the lego revelations, on a day where I haven't eaten anything substantial since the day before and have been up since before sunrise (and it's nearly sunset).

Still, feigning peace and goodwill. Better than most folks do, y'know? Especially if whatever it is can keep the charade going long enough for world peace to kick in. It would be a better physical track record than Christ or YWHW have been credited for managing, after all...

I mean, I like Jesus-bro, but he managed good by, what, some of the Jews for a little while? Pretty small peas compared to the entire human population of modern times (even if only long enough to start the bloodbath, really...).

... hrm. Overwrite just flat doesn't work on explorer (or notepad, though it does work for Wordpad without indication), for vista, and I don't have (or want) chrome. Works for notepad++, though! And Opera, and Libreoffice. Microsoft fails again, I guess.
