If he didn't like them, he'd be using some other weapon. This is Fire Emblem after all, where just about every noble is a skilled warrior or mage of some kind.
I'unno S, some of that eugenics stuff from the series makes me think that statement might not be entirely accurate. Some critters get stuck with things because they had a famous ancestor, not necessarily because they liked it. For all we know the guy loathes swords, but was pre-determined by genetics to only be able to use them until he promoted.

Or was going up against an axe user in that picture. This is Fire Emblem, after all. Personal likes are sacrificed to placate the wrath of the RNG.

He does, actually!
... he uses them, anyway. I don't recall if he ever actually commented as to whether he did or did not like swords, though.

That said, other than both being red-heads I don't really see much of a resemblance, m'self. Entirely different color scheme, and Fighter is kinda' lower resolution.

Someone missed a photoshop opportunity with that bird. Put it to a backdrop of an avalanche and you'd have the poster child for X-treme Owl Bathing.

Only one way to find out!
Convince someone across the seas to try it, so on the off chance the resulting conflagration burns the entire continent to the ground, at least I have a nice fire-resistant ocean between me and the inferno?

I didn't buy it, but I'm not adverse to using what's on hand if someone else is going to insist on equipping the residence with the stuff.

Also not really aware of, like, room-level deodorant, and I can't imagine throwing personal deodorant into a pile of drying clothes achieving desirable results. Now that I think on it, though, there's got to be something equivalent to it. I just don't believe I've seen it before.

... sometimes the mind goes strange places.

Just to make sure: Spraying air freshener into an active clothes dryer: Bad Idea or Incredibly Bad Idea?

... at the same time, if no one at least tries to fight it from the inside, there's absolutely nothing preventing it from reaching the point outside intervention is required. Until something external can be done, someone has to fight the internal battle :-\

Call and yell at talk to people? It might help, it might not. You might have already.

As for credit scores... folks that pay off quickly (as folks that disdain credit are often wont to do) are actually one of a lender's worst customers, only somewhat ahead of people that default. What they really want is folks that will just pay off interest and not really touch their premiums, so that the lender can rake in more interest moolah. Those are the ones who are best to give a loan to, from the perspective of the lender. Folks that will trip up a little and still pay off any nice fines or fees they accrue are arguably even better. A lender doesn't really want to be paid off, t'be honest...

You seem to have misspelled "cocaine", dutchling. Cocaine is spelled "cocaine", not "condom".

Perhaps of note, most people aren't deterred by laws if they feel they can get away with it. A really easy example is the speed limit on roads; only a few people like me actually follow it because no one gets ticketed for going 5-10 mph/kph over. Those that do follow it probably do so for safety reasons rather than submission to authority.
Respect for more than submission to, in my case -- t'me, submission implies there's no reason to abide besides it being authority. Way I figure it, people who built and maintain the road have a better idea how fast you're supposed to be going on it than I do. When dealing with cases outside my expertise, I defer to the experts. And close family actually did have a hand in building a great many roads in this area, so... yeah. Not like speeding saves much time anyway, when it saves any at all.

But aye, it's not really threat of punishment that causes compliance with speeding laws, at least for those that actually do. It's other concerns. Hell, actual punishment often doesn't deter or reduce speeding infractions, unless it's so far as to strip the driver's license from the infringer. Boggles my bloody mind you have people that'll soak up several hundred dollars worth of fines a year, just because they're apparently pathologically incapable of just following the ruddy road laws.

A great many acts of thievery have no (personal) consequences, though, especially petty stuff. And yet many -- I'd wager most -- folks don't indulge, despite the opportunity. Because, y'know, there's non-personal consequences to thievery and if you get people to care about those, they're not particularly likely to steal. Considerably less likely than if they're aware of some punishment they'll probably avoid anyway. You socialize a person correctly, and they won't want to hurt other people in the majority of situations. They'll also probably want to show appreciation for the work of others, and so have a strong incentive to pay (or trade, I guess) for something than steal it. That doesn't take punishment to enforce. It just takes people giving a damn about it, and most people are inclined to.

Now, if you mean no consequences at all -- no social approbation, no loss on the part of the one being "stolen" from, etc. -- then... well, there'd actually be no thieves, because thievery wouldn't be something that could happen. No loss on the part of the one being stolen from means no thievery is occurring. No harm, no foul, as it's said.

I was always kinda' fond of Transcendence, though I guess it sorta' has magic a little? Nothing overt, for what that's worth, and completely ignorable. It's not a very standard RPG, though. Action game, and item based progression.

You might also consider Zap'Em, if you can handle roguelikes. It definitely has monsters, and magic-equivalents (psionics), and honestly probably has zombies (my memory fails me), but the whole thing's in ASCII so your parent would have a bugger of a time eyeballing it for anything out of order >_> Here's a list of general sci-fi Roguelikes, actually.

The gearhead games might work, too, actually. Mecha roguelikes, and they actually have graphics if you want 'em.

E: Woah, what the blazes, you ninja'd me with the stuff I was going to suggest for you.

Socks on a dirty, sticky floor? Dirty socks are even worse than new socks! They soak up filth and keep it right next to your foot!
Better next to your feet than on them >_<

Which, admittedly, I generally just wear sandals around the house, if anything.

...feet wear wise, anyway. I... other stuff I wear.

But yeah. Socks. Socks are fine. Shoes are a goddamn horrifying sticky sweaty nightmare without socks. One that shortly produces the foetid stench of foetid stenches. One could say, But Fie on Shoes! And I could go back a couple years year or so and drag up the Barefoot in Florida conversation ramble again.
