*waggles hand* Actually, the OP and the outro are probably my least favorite bits of sound in the show >_<

Not that they're bad, per se, and the second OP is definitely an improvement t'my ears, but...

It's all the other bits. Like blindy's theme, especially after it shifted. The mother's vocal theme bits. All the other short bits and one offs and longer stuff and just etc., so forth, and so on. There's violins and I swear I heard bagpipes at one point and just all sorts of wonderful junk like that. S'great ♪

Some pretty horrible jokes that could be made, there. I will refrain.

I don't really know if there are many things you can do on a weekend that are more important than representing your county in a competition.
Haha, I could think of quite a few. Starting with taking a nap! Or cooking breakfast. It just kinda works its way up from there, really...

... I'll admit, though. I'm biased towards ranking most competition as fairly low on the proverbial value pole. Don't have much use for the stuff, especially if it's for someone else's pride. Playful like's a'ight sometimes -- games and whatnot -- but most stuff beyond that just rubs me th'wrong way.

Sixteen episodes into Kill la Kill and I starting to think I'm watching it more for the music than the actual show >_>

Not that the show is bad, mind. It's just... the sound direction has been rather nice, and like, perfectly keyed in terms of metaphorical visibility. Really enjoying it.

Owlga's donkeys have hooves so sharp they're technically in violation of non-proliferation treaties due to their ability to split atoms. They are truly magnificent.

Cut 'em with a spoon, same as I cut everything else I don't tear to shreds with my bare hands.

FML: Caulk told to use to caulk nail holes, in preparation for painting wall: Non-paintable.

Only paintable caulk in house: 7-14 day dry time.

Asked to have wall painted by: Monday.

Wheee.

E: Meh, screw it. Wait a couple hours to let it set, paint over it anyway. You give the order and no heads up as to possible complications to someone completely untrained for and unexperienced with the given task, you take the results that happen.

E2: Bright side, I have learned several things about caulking I didn't know before today. It's something.

... though there's stuff beyond what can be fished up that can surf. Fair amount, actually, some of them fairly common in their games. Not sure how aggron surfs, though. I guess propellers...

Yeah, if I have to get this stuff off my flesh again, I'll probably go looking. No doubt be pretty easy to find via internet or contacting folks more familiar with the area. Right now, though, I've got gloves on and have repurposed an icing spreader thingy for application, so the stuff's not getting back on my precious, precious flesh.

19285
Yeah, not substantial amount, room afterwards ventilating. After this, I'm just not getting any of the stuff on my hands (Disposable latex gloves, equipped!), so no reapplication. No access to ether without going out and buying some, though. And I have no idea where you'd buy some :-\

Doing house work for grandparent. Told to caulk nail holes. Told to use hands. Silicone caulk. Pissed off now. It's not coming off. And I don't think anything good at taking this junk off is in this house. E: Salvation! Acetone! My hand feels like flesh again!

Admittedly, part of this rage is inexperience and not being as cautious about directions as I should have been, but goddamnit I shouldn't have to be second guessing someone who's been doing construction and whatnot longer than I've been freaking alive. And now one of my hands feels freaking unnatural. E: Problem solved. Now to find a better way of applying this junk that doesn't involve my flesh turning into plastic.

Well, live, learn, get pissed off at the elderly.

Here it's sunny, fresh-windy, spring and bee-buzzy. Perfectly miserable weather.
Fixed~

It's actually a little overcast, where I'm at. Also nearing 80F, and humid as the buggery. Bloody terrible out there, but at least the daystar's mostly hidden.

Though... wasn't there actually one place you did have to fly to, to reach? I want to say in Emerald. Could be confusing it with a hack, I'unno.

Regardless, you couldn't forget flash, either, and it was just as unnecessary -- and even for the exact same reason (It was a massive time saver, and not much else).

... yeah, when it's in the range of 10-12 at night, and the birdsong is piercing like two walls... yeah. To blue hell with those birds. Mind you, it was like... one bird. Or two. Same species. This wasn't the normal pleasant avian cacophony. This was some giant bird prick setting down at midnight for a multi-hour (seriously, this shit would last from something like 10 till 4. Nonstop.) aural hate fest. This lasted for years, though it was a seasonal thing, iirc.

I actually like birdsong. Bird noises in general (barring woodpeckers, may the bastard tree buggerers be consumed by a thousand starving cats). But not when it's approaching midnight and I'm trying to sleep and it's this one jackass bird in the tree outside the house.

Whatever that particular species of bird was -- I never found out, and it hasn't followed me to a more urban area -- I do not like it. I like it less than woodpeckers, and I frelling hate woodpeckers at this point nearly as much as I do mosquitoes. Ruddy banging nuisances and their damned noise pollution. Worse than freaking construction. At least construction work takes breaks. Woodpeckers are basically sun up 'till sun down. One of the other reasons every season except winter can go drown in a ditch.

I also know this feeling. The temptation to go hunt down and kill birds that start making a racket at like 8 PM has been intense at some points in my life.
