You can, I guess...

... but seriously, the cribblyhumping things were designed for toasters. It's why they're called poptarts. The generic term is literally toaster pastry. The shape's pretty specifically made for toasters. Rectangular things of larger or smaller size are just pastries.

The idea that people microwave their poptarts is a strange and disturbing one to me.
Poptarts are for toasting. I guess heathens that don't have a toaster have to resort to baser actions.

They have no choice, in their desperation. We can but pity them and leave them to their squabbles among the toasterless dust.

@ Nuke dried food: Two of my favorite meat textures seem to be only producible via microwave. There's this state certain sausage patties reach where they're just on the cusp of being charcoal that is somehow incredibly addicting. Similarly, chicken brought to a similar state becomes almost akin to jerky and I love it so. And the chicken also becomes, like, incredibly dry and then you put sauces on it and it soaks and personally I find it glorious.

Which is going to make the multiverse spanning Sumerian empire waiting for you a terrible surprise. Me and Broseph Enmebaragesi gonna' rock the interdimensional casbah.

... I don't think I even got around to finishing the first book, but I'm pretty sure that bit was referenced early on in it. Less sure about the ice.

... you want LibreOffice or Open Office. I prefer the first, m'self, but they're both quite functional.

Your only recourse is to develop a pompadour and a powerful swagger. Then your passage will make young maidens blush and look away and small children stop their crying. You now know your immediate goal in life. Bust out that hair gel.

... but kids, yeah. I've always treated them like I treat cats, and it's mostly worked out pretty well. I am friend to all tiny sociopaths, and we get along well and chase people around with small logs. Okay, that was only the one time but the principle is solid.

Heeey, it's that thing. Again.

Is... is the sixth or seventh time it's come up? More? It keeps happening, like stairs made of deformed genetic experiments.

The, uh. The internet is a good place to start? Search for name, background, news. Check what any major affiliated groups (Beyond the democratic party -- is there church affiliation? What school are they alumni of, if any? Work background? What reputations and histories do those groups have?) are. If the critter's had previous political office, you might be able to find voting record or -- if you can't find it straight up online -- you might be able to find out where you can on the ground. Focus on information that will give hints on how the person will act in office -- who they willingly associate with, what they've done in the past. Especially pay attention to how much -- and on what subjects -- that past information conflicts with their official position(s).

If you're going for hyperthorough, actually see about talking to whoever it is. Phone, personal meeting, letter, e-mail, whatever. May or may not get something, but grass-root/word of mouth is sometimes important to people running for office, so you may get a bite. Consider doing the same for any opponents or notable nay-sayers.

Just... look up information. There's bound to be a fair chunk out there.

... One Way Heroic's romance subplot, small though it seems to be, made me happy today ;_;

I love cooking and I don't mind cleaning afterwards, but I hate eating alone.
... if there's one downside to eating with company, it's that it's rarely acceptable behavior to lick your plate clean when there's other people around.

Even get the occasionally annoying commentary for chasing down rice grains or whatever. Plate must be clean, damnit! Paid for that food, and m'gonna' eat it.

This is why bread should be served with all meals. Or something similarly absorptive. Sop sop sop the juices, something something morning~

... yeah, that counts. I was talkin' about folks that live off cafeterias, restaurants, and other people's cooking. Pretty much never touched a kitchen. I've met a few that couldn't work a flipping microwave. Not because they were stupid or whatever. Just because they never had, and had no interest in figuring it out.

Some apparently don't cook, either. It's a foreign mindset to me, but one that's not entirely uncommon.

E: Dutchling is trying, though. This is a good thing and should be encouraged and nurtured. Basic urban survival skills are important.

Another school week begins...
You're really getting bummed out by this stuff aren't you? Is it really that bad?
... the korean school system is a bit notorious for being pretty brutal, so... yeah, it kinda' is.

What idiot invented the washing machine. My clothes are all wet now :<

How is this even practical...
... now you dry them. Either with a dryer, or by hanging them out to dry.
