There doesn't have to be an advantage, GO. If it's not impacting gene transmission rates compared to other traits, evolution dngaf, to use the technical acronym. Even if it's a "disadvantage" -- and that's assuming painful bites are a disadvantage. They might not be, or the painful aspect might be tangential (and not a loss on the net) to whatever the advantage is.

And apparently plenty of them survive, soooo...

He means in weight.
If I had that I could probably retire. Since instead I start my new route on Tuesday, nope :v
Have fun with a ton of copper. Outside it's material properties, it's not really all that valuable (and I think the Feds would complain about smelting/repurposing their money).
... it's about 3 USD/pound. Ton of copper'd be worth about 6k USD, which isn't exactly chump change. Not enough to retire, but you can live on that for a good several months without much trouble. You actually see folks stripping copper wire/piping from places to sell, heh.

If pennies were pure copper, they'd be worth more than their weight in pennies =p

... which they're not. Modern penny's mostly zinc. Older pennies, now, that are mostly copper...

... tentative checking tells me that there's at least some places in the US it's not illegal to own a rocket launcher. So... yeah.
How about ceramic knives pressure cooker bombs homemade napalm petroleum police radio frequencies nerve gas recipes?

...hello automatic internet-scanning computer, how has your day been?
*raises finger* I, uh. Actually, I'm not entirely sure any of those are illegal to have in varying places. Probably in some places, but not everywhere. Think nerve gas recipes would be fine, even. Actual weaponized nerve gas, probably not, but it's not like we don't use diluted nerve gas for stuff like pest control so...

Some might be illegal to use (like the bomb, ferex), but I think even those can be used legally under certain circumstances. Just particular bureaucratic hoops (and probably a nice chunk of change in terms of taxes and permits and whatnot) to jump through to get the all clear.

Just... it's the states, you know? For all the rabid gun nuts complain about gun control, we're really kinda' open about that sort of thing, overall. You want to fire a RPG, you do your background check, you pay your taxes, you drop the few thou' to get everything together, you get to fire a RPG, so long as it's not at someone, or something someone else owns.

They make waterproof keyboards.

Most people don't have problem with spilling booze on their precious electronics, though, so the feature isn't standard.

... though yeah, that particular parallel has come up a few times already, iirc. Thread's noticed, heh.

General Discussion / Re: how do you fletch a bow?
« on: March 02, 2014, 04:34:36 pm »
... I don't think fletch means what you think it means. Fletching refers to doing the whole feathering the arrow thing, and related activities.

That said, this appears to be a guide for fletching! Which involves arrows. Not the actual bows.

This might get you started on actually carving a bow. There would appear to be plenty of google hits for this kinda' stuff, though, so don't be afraid to ask search engines as you run into stuff you don't understand.

So I hear the head of Ukraines navy has defected over to Russia. Any word on that?
... go back a few pages. UR said the head is all that defected, iirc, that crew and whatnot didn't go with him. Russian media says... whatever russian media says. Haven't really been clicking on news links *shrugs*

Not a very surprising one, back in the 90s. Especially the earlier 90s, iirc. Think there's still somewhat of a stigma, if reduced. And if there's stigma, of course filmmakers are going to be leery (... ha?). It could mean a hit to their profits.

I did notice they like to get "stuck" on boulder traps that have stuff underneath them. Someone dies on a boulder trap tile, trap gets reset while the loot is still in the tile, imps spend rest of forever dancing around the boulder, failing to retrieve the junk. Might be a few other things that cause similar behavior, I'unno.

Or poor, unloved, logistics station ;_;

Especially on top of some time manipulators, they can really help out on defense. Even moreso for the high level ones. Slowed enemy means more time for snipers and whatnot to shoot things up, or for reinforcements to arrive...

... assuming there is any (or an equivalent), where Akura is. Or that A qualifies for it, if there is. Near as I can remember, Akura lives in the states. No guarantee there's anything of that nature in the area Ak's at, or that Akura qualifies, or that the situation in whatever the closest thing is wouldn't be worse than the current one.

Sword, maybe. I'm not sure, but I think my line gets drawn at "key ring".

... if I ever play the game klefki's in, I will nuzlocke that run for the specific purpose of capturing every one I can and then letting random wilderness encounters murder them.
