Only if she doesn't know, I think.

Every time I open up Quickbooks to do homework, I end up hating the program more. E: It's like someone wrote out a list of every good point of UI design and proper software methodology and then specifically set out to violate each and every one of them, usually multiple times.

I swear, I have not wrestled with a piece of software this shittily designed in years. How they hell they get people to actually buy the damned thing (outside of captive audiences, like my class) boggles my freaking mind.

Also the registration process doesn't stfu and let you lie to them. Sorry, Flagstaff, Arizona. I don't know who I just said was registering a student copy of quickbooks, but I apologize to you.

Yeah, driving around here tends to be pretty easy, least up until it gets over the hundreds and things start occasionally melting. And ignoring the occasional hurricane but eh, hurricanes are chumps most of the time so it's no big. It's just the other stuff. Living. Breathing. Those sorts things. That are less pleasant.

I'd trade you, though. Heartbeat. Cold and conditions I can deal with, or learn to deal with. There's not actually any dealing with heat. Nothing you can really do that doesn't involve AC or whatnot. Cold you bundle up like damn, take extra care driving (or just not drive, if possible!). You can actually reach points where things are consistently pleasant (bundled up under mountain of bedding).

Heat. Heat, you run out of things to take off. And are still miserable. Can try water! It doesn't really help. Wind! Yeah, well, moving air makes it slightly less miserable, at least. Ice melts. It's a constant fight. It never reaches a point where things are consistently pleasant. Just, unpleasant. Either fighting the unpleasantness or being stuck in it. No third option. Constantly. For months. Small reprieve during "winter". Three, maybe four weeks it's not a tiny slice of hell on earth. And then back to swelter for the rest of the year.

Hate this state, so much. So very, very much. Still few years stuck in it. Less years than before, though. Is something. Bad enough. Winter's going away, and there wasn't much of one. Suffer is coming back, and it is always long and plentiful.

Forecast showing a high in the 80s (About 27C.) come wednesday. Looks like florida's gearing back up to being goddamn miserable again. Didn't... didn't even really get a good winter, this time. Had lizardpeople (read: Normal floridian who thinks 70F is cold) staying here since janurary (1-2 weeks my ass. It's been over a month and a half.), so the AC actually came on instead of letting the house feel decent for once. Can feel the seasonal depression setting in and it's not even warmed up yet :-\

Hold right click and drag, specifically. And yeah, keyboard support for some -- numerous, ideally -- things would be really nice. Moving the screen around, maybe hotkeys for buildings and whatnot, etc., so forth, so on. Usually a lot faster than using a mouse, and keyboard commands for at least screen scrolling has been standard for a long time, as things go.

Hybrid's where it's at, is what I'm saying. Got all these wonderful buttons, might as well use some of them.

I've watched dukes solo three 10th level, heavily geared, named critters, all at the same time :P And then proceed to kick the other dozen+ around for several dozen turns before finally getting worn down.

It really depends on the RNG whether the duke's reasonable or a world destroyer.

Here's hoping, again, that the next update adds enough pathing functionality underwater construction becomes viable~
But that wouldn't be canon because dwarves can't swim.
In the immortal words of fanfiction writers, applied lovingly to modding, "Canon can sod off."

I'unno, might depend on if the dwarves had access to nice quantum sand gathering spots. Masterwork green glass spinning disk weapon traps for miles. Also cages. Cages everywhere. Sauron flips out, goes raging, next thing he knows he's stuck in a glass terrarium to give the children happy thoughts.

Heee~ey. GoG giving out Dungeon Keeper the first. Nice to have that thing again, s'been forever since I misplaced the old disks.

Going out and yoinking some scrolls (particularly the fwoosh ones) and potions beforehand can also help. Possessing something and chucking stuff at the duke can do some nice unavoidable damage, to say nothing of the benefits of blind/slow/sleep.

Checking if dwarf fortress has updated, and seeing that it hasn't.  :'(
Probably wouldn't be a problem if I didn't check everyday (sometimes several times a day)
Can't really help with the rest of it, but you can RSS the development and release logs. No need to check, it'll just tell you when something's happened.

... wouldn't it be yolnt if it were a cat? Yolint's not a bad sound for a cat name, anyway.

Neither's yolo, but one should keep to the silly cultural things.

I've been partial to "Noone Yah" for a while now, m'self. Gets the point across.

... why argue about baking cookies? Just have everyone with different opinions bake their own batch. Then there's no need to argue, everyone has cookies.
