Not a misconception (though deodorant is possibly a good idea. Cologne is not deodorant.), and the vast majority of that stuff frankly smells goddamn horrible, especially in large quantities. It is not something you use like a hammer. There's some out there that's subtle enough it won't drive off anyone with a sense of smell that hasn't been violated by that shit, but it's rare.

Especially if wearing it makes you sick, though, say no, it makes you physically ill. Repeatedly, until it sticks. And don't wear it, of course.

Sensible people with functioning senses will thank you. Forget nauseous, I got stuck besides someone wearing ridiculously strong stuff once for a good 1.5-2 hours, and it ended up making me literally sick. Put me in bed for like 2-3 days.

So many questions, aiee. Definitely off in a lot of little ways (it's fear of assault and material safety loss, not rejection/etc. :P), but pretty on the ball, overall.

Also political one, because politicubes are great.

And they're more of the fool for it. Blame not your lack of vocabulary on american innovation. We needed a new word since you fogeys didn't have it, and we took one.

It's a gel prepared with gelatine, not pectin. You eat it out of a bowl or as part of a trifle.

It's known as Jell-O in the states AFAIK, because capitalism or something.

E: to clarify, not suggesting you eat jam (what you call jelly) out of a bowl with a spoon; just asserting that America is ...bad at names.
Jello is also something you can put between two slices of bread. You know not of what you speak.

... and I've ate jelly out of a bowl with a spoon, too. Sometimes you want just the jelly. Admittedly you generally skip the bowl step and just eat it out of the jar but whatev'.

Yeah, jelly is the wobbly stuff you eat as dessert. Jelly is also the american name for jam, was what i thought.
As for this, jelly is jam with the pulp filtered out.

You spread it on bread. Or pancakes or waffles, if you're making a sandwich out of those. Or not, even. Also pretty good on sausage. And bacon.

It counts well enough, s'far as I'm concerned.

There's hypoallergenic breeds! More or less. Had a couple of korats in the house for a few years, part of those years with a cat-allergic person living there with no problem. Awesome critters, shame the person actually taking care of em sorta' wasn't and they eventually both disappeared into the wilderness.

... there's a different definition for a good relationship? I... I thought that was it. Getting along when just getting along. That's when you're good, innit?

Multiple ones. Check BigD's post on the first page of the thread, iirc.

...So, is that 'marshmallow cream' stuff a popular thing over yonder in 'Murrica?
I actually saw some at my local supermarket and was interested in trying it... Although a jar that big of frigging marshmallow would probably kill me.
It's not, really. It's around, and it's a thing, but it's not something that gets eaten very often and it can be kinda' hard to find sometimes. Not uncommon for a grocery store to have it, but it'll be like one jar or something hidden gods know where.

In any case, it tends to last a while, and a relative little goes a long way (The serving size on the jar I've got says two tablespoons, iirc, which is effing insane. One [normal sized, plastic] spoonful did up a sandwich just fine.). Stuff doesn't really go bad. Have had jars in the past that lasted well over a year with no detriment to taste.

Dyes, siru. Even if there isn't naturally, it can be colored red anyway.

Salads... salad dressing is like the most hilarious thing ever. "Get healthy food, pour five meals worth of unhealthy on it, eat." The first time I checked the nutrition/ingredients list on salad dressing I ended up boggling at it for like a minute straight because what. And that was with the like diet variant or whatev'. Crazy stuff.

vvv Good for you, Siru. Ahead of the game, yo'.

I say thee nay! The best fries are the ones that stand above other fries without condiments, and yet are such they can naught but improve other flavors brought into conjunction with them. Resplendent Catalyst Fries.

They probably count as sidereals, I'unno.

Here in AMERICA fries usually go with tomato ketchup. There are other things people use, but I never heard of mayo and fries in my life O_o
... while not plain mayo, I have seen people eat fries with a ketchup/mayo mixture.

It... it looks like vomit, yes.

I usually default to BBQ sauce, m'self (for basically everything involving condiments, not just fries). Ketchup is fine, too. And sweet and sour sauce. And soy, teriyaki, or steak sauces. Probably other stuff, too. I've dipped them in eggdrop soup before, I think. Also good.
