Damnit, MSH. You've gone and done it. "Nothing could possibly be more annoying than this," you say.

"Challenge accepted," Murphy says in response.

Now it's just a matter of when.

... that was the one with the pointy head, wasn't it?

Nazometer would be the word you're looking for.

Your point being?
Point being that the program is naturally going to accuse most of the students of cheating when they reach the exact same answer independently. Because it's an excel assignment, and there's only so many ways to do those if you're not intentionally screwing around (NOT(NOT(NOT(NOT(...)))) etc.). A plagiarism checking program for an assignment where most of the students should have an identical answer is going to vomit false positives all over the students' grades.

And since, the problem is more likely to be flash drive space, since you probably have other things on there besides archives of imagery.
Ehn... the eight gig flash drive I've been using for school this last couple of semesters cost <10 USD*, which is less than a lot of things and frighteningly easy to save up for. Disk space is only an issue if it's made one, when it comes to school use stuff. Takes a good bit of effort to fill up one, much less multiple...

... unless they're doing video editing or somethin', I guess. Still.

But yeah, like you said, probably just not thinking all that much in that scenario.

*And checking prices online, it was a bit of a rip off at the price point I got it. Seeing multiple 16 gig ones for around the same price, and 32 gig ones for like 12 bucks. Was in a bit of a hurry at the time, but that kinda' stings. Point being, hard drive space is cheap these days.

... don't most of those involve flagrant copyright infringement, though? S'long as no one underage was nearby*, that might be the worse thing to get caught out with. Mind you, s'a good chance they were skimmin' pirated/fan-tranz/etc. stuff anyway (many/most online viewing things fall into one of those categories, really...), but... eh.

'Course, someone browsin' smut at school probably isn't thinking that far ahead, soo... whatever. Reminds me of that time I prodded the search memory on a library computer during high school, out of curiosity. Previous searches involved horses, among other things :-\

*This usually involves considerably heavier legal problems, from what I've seen. Not too sure how ubiquitous the ramped up punishment is worldwide, but it's fairly common in the states.

... there's a MW2 that's not Mechwarrior?

19913
... y'know, I can't even remember if there were russians in MW2. I mean, technically Terra was there and all, and I guess the phenotype and some cultural stereotypes lived on somewhere in the inner sphere, but they tend to go by more recent appellations at that point in fictional history...

... plus, wasn't MW2 the clan focused one?

... sometimes they need a little wasted time and extra hassle to convince them it was worth paying you. Or so I hear.

I expect my career criminals to be ready to spread propaganda to the media at a moments notice!
But of course. What reflects worse on you as part of the constituency? Electing a criminal, or electing an incompetent one?

Way I see it, if you're going to elect a crook, make damn sure well it's a crook that actually knows what they're doing. Shows you have a discerning, if immoral, eye.

*wakes up earlier than intended, looks out the window. Blinks*

*Goes into the other room, looks out the bigger window, blinks again*

*hops out the back door, looks around, pokes the stuff on the ground a little*

It... maybe? It seems to actually have done something suspiciously similar to snow. It's nothing like what I remember from going west, as it's highly granulated and looks more like accumulated bits of small hail than, y'know, the powdered stuff, but. There's white stuff on the ground. In Florida. And it's not cotton or copious amounts of spilled milk or paper or chicken feathers or wool or... well, stuff that's not frozen water.

Not much, at all. But it's there. S'not snowing, but we appear to have maybe had some snow or light hail, which I imagine as far as Floridians are concerned is the same thing. Amazing. Second time in the last few decades I've seen this, even if it is just lingering hailstones.

You could also give a shopping spree a chance. Pick up some kit that has track as an active ability. If you've got a decent chunk of cunning (and as an alchie, you should. They're basically a mag/cun/con class -- they don't need more than about 30-40 willpower, at the most.) the radius on track gets absolutely ridiculous (iirc, cunning around sixty can get a radius in the fifties.). No need to scout around corners when you can see the every enemy on the entire freaking level.

I doubt it'll actually happen but even the chance is joyous! Long have I yearned to yet again see the reaction of North Florida to snow.

Anywaaaay. Something I remember reading! Sorta'. It has been a long bloody time since I read it. But! I recall a rather impressive story climax involving fire, for some reason, so... I tracked it down again. Just now. And I'm sharing! Might even read it soon-ish. Anyway.

N... no, golem. No. What are you doing, golem? It... don't. Why?

... it's times like this I really wish I was more artistically inclined, because the image of a hulking automaton deciding to shove over a dozen shiny rocks into its left eye socket is definitely something I'd love to see on paper.
