Which is an assumption that would be an incredible freaking risk to bank on -- another major likelihood is "Oh hell, they're actually using those things for shit like that. Hit them before they turn on us!"

Definitely not the sort of assumption you want a major power player to be making, ever, imo. If you're including a risk that large in your operational considerations you probably need to be replaced, yesterday.

Mm... not strictly a steam sale, but speaking of standard discounts, Dominions 4 is going for 25% off over on Gamersgate. Only brings it down to about 26 USD (Least on my end), but that's arguably not bad for what it is.

I'm more worried about that door that's under several feet of... let's call it 'soil'.  Did their architect actually get his degree, to put a door that blatantly underground?
Maybe it's just a closet or somethin'? Old style glitch fridge (throw some ice/snow behind a door with the food) janked by some wandering Apex?

... it's the bell, isn't it? You can never trust people with a giant metal bell hanging from their living room(?) ceiling.

Being fair, though this is total conjecture, there may be weather related shenanigans involved for server infrastructure they've got in the states right now. I think there's some chunks up north that's been hit by ice storms or somethin'. Might have downed something vital in Valve's infrastructure. That plus a heavy load could be mucking with things. Act of god(s), as they say, basically.

It'll be interesting to find out what the actual reason is, though. Whenever it starts working again.

Because the divine are pricks, of course.

Seriously, it's probably server strain. L4D2 went free, might be outages in parts of the states making it worse, etc., etc.

Why is there snow on this lava planet?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I'm having a critical logic failure here.
Space snow, Flyme. Space snow. Just roll with it.

Plus, it's not like a frozen/snowy surface is incompatible with volcanic activity or anything.

It might be somewhat amusing, I'unno. As is, and being fair, they're kinda' assholes enough already. Not sure making them bigger is the best of ideas.

Unless it turns out Utahraptor is even more delicious than chicken or something, in which case let's get this show on the freaking road. Entirely sorta' new species to enslave and consume. If you bring a species back from extinction, you get to eat some of them, right? That's how it works.

... is there an abbreviation for japan as a nation or nationality that isn't a racial slur? I actually have trouble with that one occasionally m'self, because it is a natural abbreviation and I have a terrible tendency to reduce things in syllables (which is an helluva' statement considering this sentence) and, well...

Black mold is also known as Stachybotrys.
The fabled mustache botox, for when your facial hair is too wrinkled and expressive.

... which would probably actually be marginally worse than black mold, if you injected it directly into your lungs.

Ha ha ha. Yeah, I've noted before -- especially better off companies, they don't do shit if it will result in a lawsuit actually capable of crippling them. They will very specifically weigh legal costs vs. compliance (/not being jack holes) costs and choose legal costs if that costs them less, assuming they can absorb the PR hit a lawsuit (sometimes, not always) entails. There's the occasional exception, but by and large that's the rule of things, t'the best of my knowledge.

Quite a while back, yeah. Unless that's a copy site of some sort. Forget when the last time that thing was brought up, but it was way earlier this year, at the latest. Think there's actually been a few people running around with avatars made from that thing's output, heh.

E: Woah. Dream self can get some rage on, apparently. Helluva' way to start the day (the second time, anyway) when the alarm clock cuts you out at "I will set every one of you fuckers on fire." Actually kinda' amusing (there was good setup, and people being ranted at were laughing), but... still.

E2: And then I look out the front door and there's someone rummaging around through the fridge the folks here have on the back porch. No knocking on the door or saying hello or... anything. It... it's someone they know, but. What? Hear a noise, think maybe cat, no, hobo. Okay, maybe not a hobo per se, but an elderly lady that looks a lot like a hobo, doing the hobo-ish act of stealthily (relatively, the other folks here wouldn't have noticed) raiding someone else's fridge. Christmas day has started weird.

E3: Aannnnd today I actually looked up what Hog-eye is a euphemism for. The Hog-Eye Man song suddenly became considerably more... something.

Ah, that one. I usually call them "caffeine", hoho. Even the non-caffeinated stuff, depending on how lazy I'm feeling.

Look, if you come into my house and draw dicks on the, like, drywall or inside the water pipes or whatever, I will likely never notice and definitely never care. Dicknature my electrical wiring with fine print phallus all you want, so long as it won't cause a fire.

How are any of you getting images? Nothing I've tried works.
I just took a screen shot and uploaded it somewhere, m'self.
