Pretty sure this was linked before, but have it again. Explicitly stated, and I quote:

Is multiplayer in for beta?
Yes!

Wiki got yo' back. Musica bit in the see also gives a bit more information, too.

It was actually one of the more influential astronomy theories, years ago. Completely debunked nowadays, but yeah.

1) Tinnitus: No idea if i have it. I do get a soft background buzz but I always assumed that was standby elctronic or pipes or rustling leaves etc...... makes no difference to me :P
Personally, I've just taken to calling it the music of the celestial spheres. Actually fits some of what was said about it fairly well, from what I've seen. Near as I've been able to tell, everyone can hear it, s'just most folks either don't pay enough attention to notice or don't really grok what they're hearing. Factually, I'd gather it's some quirk or another of physiology. Nonexistent gods know there's probably research on the subject out there I haven't bothered looking for, heh.

But yeah, it can be kinda' neat once you just shrug and embrace it as an interesting noise that never actually goes away.

Winter should be a time of quiet and cold and 6 hour days. If people want to be noisy and stupid then they can do it in summer.
Nah, spring or fall. Summer's too hot to move/breath/exist and winter's too nice. In between periods is probably better, plus most everyone's at work or whatev' so any noise is likely away from people trying to get along with life. Exile that stuff to the seasons no one seems to feel particularly strongly about.

I still need to go against... Frumple and Cthulhu. Any thoughts, gentlemen?
Thuly sends me a PM or something* while you and mystery guest are about I might be able to get on, but I'm kinda' ill at the moment and there's a non-zero chance I'd have to bail part way through. Digestive system's unhappy with me.

*Just an agreed upon time would be ideal, though. So long as it's not wednesday (GMT -6) I may be able to manage something. Thursday afternoon through sunday is best, generally. Just... probably not today.

... man, I shouldn't confront my brain with statements like that this early in the day. My immediate thought was "check the local laws; it's entirely possible the civil/criminal penalties for grave robbing may cost less." Then I went and checked and... it looks like the maximum penalty in some areas of the USA is only 1k USD with no jail time involved, potentially less, potentially more depending on area and particularities.

That right there. That's thinking like a corporation, it is. Also why you generally make the fine more than the cost of compliance when you're creating regulatory laws, haha!

I... actually support this duel.
Indeed. There are few things as invigorating as watching a polar bear and captain planet vigorously tubing each other in competition for the eyes of the masses.

You're missing out of the simple rumble of an engine and the sound of wheels against pavement. Tis very relaxing until that 90 year old blind motherfucker pulls in front of you while you're going eighty, then gets pissed at YOU because he doesn't comprehend right of way. There is too much chatter in our world and not enough blissful silence.

... yeah, that's kinda' nice when that's all it is. Been a while since I've experienced that...

... and I haven't turned on the radio or kicked on music at all in probably a year or two :P Really need to get the car fixed up a bit, to the extent a '95 model ford can be.

Well, except the going 80 part. I... I don't think I've actually gone over 75 mph yet. Frankly hope I never have need to, heh.

... when the vehicle's in good repair, anyway. Otherwise it can be somewhat nerve wracking :-\

Googoo references the stuff made by some critter that goes by Googoo64. Notables include... a lot. Like Doruge, Sppaman, Magma... there's a pretty sizable list, most high tier, some not. They've all got particularities that tend to make them pretty recognizable after you've seen a few, and they tend to be ridiculous for... varying reasons. It's not uncommon for them to be a treat to watch, though. For all the animation on 'em tends to be... spotty... they can be pretty neat. There's quite a bit of variation between the lot of 'em, honestly. Ninja'd, of course.

Mexican also tends to imply that the character would be otherwise trash or considerably weaker without their exaggerated qualities, usually because of utterly terrible AI. Th'term's more than a little racist (and also somewhat inaccurate, iirc), and originated, s'far as I'm aware, primarily due to a glut of DBZ (and a couple other series) characters exemplifying the trait (High stats, low programming, general low quality) coming from south/central american countries. And, Salty's chat constituents being what they are, a fair number can't tell spanish from portuguese even if they're repeatedly told something is one or the other and thus everything vaguely spanish sounding (including portuguese and occasionally italian) are/were lumped under "Mexican".

Incidentally, another bar to keep an eye out for is Burst AC (Or... AC Burst, one of the two). They tend to be pretty notable because they spend the betting period beating the everloving hell out of their opponent. The kings and queens of disrespect*, basically, and beyond that tend to have excellent (very aggressive) AI and are overall solid, ranging from pretty solid to incredibly so. Great fun, those critters.

*Disrespect being the AI going bugnuts during the betting period and starting the fight early. Especially glorious is when both sides do you and you get an extra round before the fight :P

Scam's generally when a character buggers off off screen, or otherwise becomes (almost) completely unable to attack or be attacked. Seems to be called a scam because it scams the viewers out of a fight (though, of course, some, such as Googoo Vadar or some of the ninja turtles, do it with style and aplomb.). It's occasionally utterly flippin' hilarious, as when Leonardo helicopters into the heavens.

Don't really know if you need to know much about the site. You sign up, there's a place to put in your bet, and buttons to press to choose your side. It's not very complicated at all.

Gotcha' covered. Been half meaning to check it out m'self after I noticed it over on roguebasin.

Yes, no same-sex marriage is included in pro-family policy

Position of the party is basically that: It's a basic right of any person to have sex with whomever he wants but families (and laws that regulate families) are created for one goal - "producing" more nation members. No one want to ban anyone from making any property sharing deals but no, that's not a family.
... wouldn't that necessitate that sterile couples could not marry, nor could elderly/onset infertile individuals remain so (so long as they no longer have dependents, I guess)? I mean, if you're going to discriminate based on reproductive capability... do it. Don't half arse it. I've always kinda' wondered why advocates of such don't go full monty...

If they're not old enough to have really notable sentience/socialization yet, I've generally found treating them more or less the same as cats to be fairly effective at smoothing interactions. Roughly the same mindset of sociopathic hedonism, roughly the same set of proper actions (barring obvious physical differences, of course) related to distraction and care. Generally more noisy, though. There's particularities to each sort of critter, of course, but I've generally found it to be a pretty fair guideline.
