I think that's what's better known as a "Twenty-Two in One" stage rocket.

Colloquially, it's what people call a "Bomb".

Keep the witch, of course. Pet witches are best witches.

As a minor note on usefulness of Adepts versus sun ladies, one thing I've found about the adepts is that they're probably the easiest of heroes to funnel money in to, if you want to upgrade them. Since they're basically the fastest bloody thing in the game, if you set a high value exploration flag out in the distance, it's almost guaranteed one of them is going to be the one that gets it. Makes getting a well equipped defensive force fairly easy.

Sunladies, especially on expansion maps, are definitely the better direct combatants, though. Sun hammer+sunscorch does some serious work, and they're fairly tough and hard hitting on their lonesome. They're just not everywhere and capable of stocking up on a doubled short range teleport. Utility vs. power, basically. I tend to go with adepts, especially if I've gone Krypta.

... incidentally, is there a way to pause the game (and still give commmmmaaaannnn or nevermind, I just remembered you can actually set reward value before dropping the flag, via the palace/outpost. Which makes me feel silly. I've been just double clicking on something and then ballooning the attack flag (that is, just holding down the increase button) until something kills it.

Other Games / Re: Interplanetary - Build Bigger Cannons Today!

... okay, OP, dev, or anyone: As a Scorched Earth aficionado*, how would you sell this game to me? What does it do different from its bajillion predecessors? What is new and, if not new, what is done better? Why would I choose Interplanetary in particular in the incredibly saturated field of games that is Scorched Earth clones and derivatives?

*Okay, so I'm too terrible at them to go that far. But I've probably played a good 30-40 different Scorched Earth clones/derivatives over the years (and probably seen that number again of ones I didn't play), including at least seven or eight that had multiple gravity points, i.e. were based on shooting from different planets.

E: Though, actually looking at the page, the 3D is a good start. That's actually quite rare insofar as the style goes.

... yeah, the demon one is bloody easy with a single bungalow. You don't even have to hire any elves, just have the building around. As said, that, a few marketplaces, handful of inns, few trading posts. Gold flows quick, then.

If you want to do it without a bungalow... you'll need a lot more of everything except the bungalow, and gold won't flow in nearly as quickly (since the tax collectors have a lot more places to go).

I cannot help but bring myself to recommend the name "Axespendable I", and an initial class scheduled involving at least one go at weapons, with a focus on polearms (if that's possible).

Ehn... they pull some of the gold flow back in via popping up lounges, though, which drain tax money out of the system. Your best bet for extra buildings would be, hrm. Do wizard towers count? Don't think they have a multiplier. Inns are fairly cheap, too, and generate gold besides. Dunno if statues'd do it...

Point being, going for gold I probably wouldn't make more than one bungalow, m'self. One's good/incredible, but they've got diminishing returns on 'em. One thing you might be able to do with the expansion is hire/dismiss embassy heros until you're full up on elves that way. Elven heroes, no extra lounges. A match made in incredibly wasteful heaven. Though now I'm wondering if you could, like, game it. Make a bungalow, and an outpost, hire a couple of elves, destroy the bungalow, wait for the elves to move into the outpost, rebuild the bungalow and repeat until outpost full. Eight elves, one bungalow, (hopefully) one lounge.

'Course, that's all moot when gnomes are the best of the non-humans anyway :P

The jumping question? Don't some people get an urge to jump from high places even if they're, y'know, not depressed at all? From what I understand it's just an urge some people get; intrusive thought, but otherwise meaningless.

... seriously though, do extra bungalows actually do anything insofar as cash generation goes (I mean, besides reduce it 'cause of lounges and whatnot)? Isn't one enough to trigger the doubled markets and rake in ridiculous amounts of bank?

Iirc, it took me... seven days? In that deal with the devil map, to go from <8k to >100k, once everything got set up :P

Bungalow and three level 3 marketplaces, fairground or two, half dozen inns, few trade posts. Think that was most of it. Gold comes in hand over fist, it's crazy.

Flip all the coins! Put lists into Random.org. Let random/pseudo-random decide!

Or, at the very least, follow that methodology to find out what you don't what to play at the moment, by dint of actually trying it and deciding you don't want to.

An easy cure for decision paralysis is to decide without justification and seeing where that starts the ball a rolling.

... actually, I'm not sure how it's an anti-joke.

Nor am I entirely sure what an anti-joke is, but I digress...

... I'd kinda' expect the priest to tell the Higgs Boson it's a protestant church, though >_>

Minor sad of minor sads est, but family brought by food, accompanied by a huge (gotta' be 32+ oz) cup of Barqs rootbeer, which is now sitting in my fridge.

It is, probably, my favorite rootbeer (that I've had) in terms of taste. It is also caffeinated.

I haven't had any caffeine (outside of maybe a little in some chocolate) in roughly nine months. Since around late february, early march.

Dilemma.

Think I'll have some in the morning (because having it in the afternoon will probably mean no/troubled sleep) -- I mean, it's a gift, and I like the taste -- but... it's been so long...
