Eh, clown bombs are apparently not going to destroy blocks with the coming version, so... less worries about them. I never seemed to have much trouble with the buggers, though. Whole NPC monster spawning suppression field thingy probably helped with that. And usually spending blood moons, like. Underground.

... taxation class today consisted more or less entirely of a series of more-or-less-libertarian talking point youtube videos "questioning" whether income tax is fraud (mostly by arguing that the legal definition of income doesn't apply to most things, with a side of tax reporting being voluntary). This is after the last week's class was canceled (and absolutely zero material, like, provided online or whatever. Completely dead day. Understandable-ish given what the teacher was doing on the side, but...), and in a once a week class.

I'm... I'm currently somewhat unsure what to think. I mean, the teacher's very personable (if, perhaps, a little scatterbrained) and by and large knows the subject... when they talk about it... but... I'unno. Supposedly next week we'll actually do something! So far all that's been assigned was a single quiz (that wasn't turned in or graded or whatev's) that... we were supposed to go over two weeks ago, then last week, and has apparently been forgotten. And sorta' reading. I'm just... I'll admit. I've never had a class quite like this one. It's interesting and a little frustrating.

Also the videos themselves pressed all kinds of my passive rhetoric!rage buttons, but considering part of it was from entertainment media, that wasn't really surprising. Maybe next time we'll get the other side of the story, I'unno. (hahahano)

Phone call from what was a... apparently rather sophisticated robocall. Asking for an electronic signature to support... putting ratings on, uh. "Future media"? Like the internet. Or, like. Mobile phone texts.

... not entirely sure who you people are, but, uh. I don't think you quite understand how this tube-y thing works, or exactly what you're suggesting.

No, people are just still playing the 1.1.2 version it seems.
Actually been playing the dark souls mod a bit over the last few days. Especially with the story(ish) map, it's... kinda' interesting.

No, no... I'd have to disagree. For one, Australia is still populated by human life. For the other, it's still populated by human life and the blood of native Australians isn't a universal antidote. Clearly, there is still work to be done. The experiment still hasn't produced one of its intended outcomes.

... I will accept the existence of space deer if and only if they come with space deer space guns that regain space deer ammo as you travel through space and space roadkill free range space deer.

Didn't you know? Neonivek is from the future.

I should know, I'm from there too.
See, this is where I know you're lying. Neo's actually from Bizzaro Earth (this was established... a month ago? Something something sims medieval(?) something). I'd imagine what's going on with that is a time differential, not him being from our future. Maybe Bizzaro Earth has some kind of merlin effect going on where it ages backwards, or they just use tomorrow in the same sense we use yesterday. That'd actually kinda' fit, thinking on it... translation method slipping up and Neo forgetting to switch things around.

Also, some people apparently think Cullen can beat the freaking God Emperor. Maybe if they're doing a sparkle-off.
One sparkles. The other emits multitudinous motes of screaming daemonflesh torn from the firmament of another reality. Not only would the colors-that-are-not-colors emitted by warpstuff be infinitely more fabulous than Cullen's sparkles, each and every one of them would turn C's body into a gibbering mass of writhing pain.

God Emperor of Mankind. Even His sparkles stand victorious over the unclean.

Yup. I've probably seen a good half dozen different styles, without even actively looking for 'em. Most ubiquitous I've seen is those... I think radio? Maybe wi-fi. Updated atomic ones. Usually grey border, black strips in it. Calculator-like screen thingy. Gives time, date, sometimes temperature. Kinda' nifty, really.

All the wall clocks in my place of employment are analogue, so I am constantly trained in this highly secret art.
Yeeaaahh... I think I've been in only two or three schools (out of maybe a dozen or so, though several of those just visiting) so far that had digital clocks, and even some of those didn't have full coverage. Still mostly analog. Mostly analog in general, really, in my area, though it's not too uncommon to have both. North Florida is apparently still lagging behind in updating timekeeping methods. Honestly, it's sometimes not quite the same without that omnipresent tick tick tick.

... seriously though, it's not like it's amazingly difficult to read 'em or anything. Up is 12, down is 6, know your clockwise, the rest falls in place~

Certainly quite a bit of pretty. Suddenly hoping there's not a comp spec increase coming with the update, ha.

Or explosives! Bombs or dynamite, anyway. S'a little excessive for knocking down backwall, but... eh.

There's a (couple, I think) fairly decent wiki floating around, if that'd help. Think the guide (as in, the NPC) may mention a bunch of fairly useful stuff, too.

E: Do note with dirt walls, you have to actually start from the edges and work your way in. Can't just start knocking down crap in the middle. S'a bit of a pain, really. Think most other things you can just start whacking wherever.

It hasn't been updated since January of... 2012. This upcoming one was a bit of a surprise. Don't think there's any b12 servers actively running at th'mo, though, least that I can recall offhand.
