Like, the thought came as I was going down a road and saw a couple tractors out in a field, was kinda' hard to tell if they were moving or not and I was like. Slap one of those spinny things on one, make it extra hard to tell if it's actually moving. Y'know?

So I started wondering if someone had actually done that. Giant spinny hubcap thing.

I'unno how much that matters (on several different levels -- the county I'm in is like 50-60% registered dem, but went somethin' like 80% trump last year, ferex. Blue dogs are a thing.), I've been getting emails from rubio's office for years now that claim I contacted their office at some point (not that I recall!). Lot of the time (and especially with email, which has effectively zero distribution costs) folks like that will just fling their shit anywhere they can get it to reach, opposing political groups or not.

At most it means they think the demographic they think you're a part of has plenty of cross ticket voters, really. Which it might.

Isn't that a criminal offense, breaching voter confidentiality?
Voter registration is public record in most of the US, so... probably not. Exactly who can (easily) access the information and what it can be used for varies from state to state, but in general it's easily accessible if you feel like accessing it, particularly if you're officially associated with a recognized political party. First breakdown I found online was this, off these critters' website.

If you think that accessibility is abusable and regularly used to do things like send spam mail and whatnot, well. Yes. Yes, it is.

Those... spinny hubcap things. The ones that make it look like a car's still moving even when it's stopped.

Anyone know if they've made one of those things for tractors? Like, the big ol' combine harvester wheels.

... what 50 buck RTS games are they even making nowadays? I don't pay much attention to most stuff in that price range anymore, but I had a sort of half-there impression the genre was in a bit of a slump, production wise.

Also if you're talking brick and mortar storefronts, gods, it's was years even prior to the plague that I looked at what those were offering...

... for what it's worth, it's snow. This time it's actually talking about snow. There's a verse often left off that makes that more clear, placing the singer somewhere like... well, where I'm at, that hasn't seen snow since the early 90s.

There's pretty certainly some asshats that use it otherwise, but the intent is and was just talking about a snowy winter landscape in context of not being in one at christmas.

Like, the reality is that bigotry and various oppressions and atrocities have been buddhist led just about as easily as any other major religion has. Religion that organizes to any great degree and starts accruing secular power of any particular note just tends to be like that. About the only real thing going for buddhism with english speaking/western audiences is that we tend not to really know much or any history about buddhist majority regions, heh.

As to if organized religion been a net good overall, hell if I know. Most potential historical counterexamples to organized religion ended up hunted to extinction or irrelevance by it, ha.

... my personal experience leans real hard otherwise, though. Church going and whatnot always seems to make people worse over time around these parts. Having something unconfirmable folks consider an absolute truth just seems to go poorly. Ends up with people less reasonable, less charitable, more unkind and fractious... I'm irreligious for a reason, heh. Organized religion just seems to get in the way of everything good, including spiritual beliefs but especially everything else...

Yeah, I had forgotten quess exists, not gon' lie. That one's actually 13, checking, so you're entirely free to continue seeing everything related to that as sketchy as hell. Extra sketchy, even. Extra extra sketchy if you scope some of the supporting material* :-\

I actually can't even remember if I've seen char's counterattack. Like, probably, because there was a period years ago I spent watching through a lot of the older bits of the franchise, but... yeah. Not much in the way of strong memory of it.

... though yeah, amuro's pretty milquetoast for... a lot of the series (which is interesting in some ways 'cause he's killed like a lot of people over the course of it all). Honestly a lot better in several of the SRW games, where at least he's got legit chops as one of the most skilled and experienced real robot pilots in the series, and the SRW stuff plays that up pretty well a good few times. SRW's got notably decent writing for what amounts to a giant pile of officially published massive crossover fanfics, really...

*There's an official novel/LN that has an illustration of 'er straddling char in her underwear, apparently. Folks doing content control couldn't countenance amuro with a family, but that was a-okay!

Presumably some form of desperation? Missed their own pickup, had some kind of trash disaster at home, etc. It's impolite, especially without, like... asking... but it's not exactly hard to figure out the framework of what sort of thought process could lead to that.

Yeah... I think Lala (if that's who you're referencing) is supposedly older than she looks, but still only like 17 or somethin' like that. If basically everything related to her (I had somehow missed Char found her working in a brothal...) makes you uncomfortable it kinda' should, though I'm less sure how much Char's Counterattack's creator thinks that, too. Char's characterization has had a lot of shit flung at it over the years due to his interactions regarding that, though.

He's definitely, like... not a good person, in any case, or fighting for a good cause (though it's kinda' hard to say who is, exactly, as the feds are giant sacks of shit, too, they're just mostly less competent about their genocide, lol). If that's your takeaway, you paid attention, heh.

... he is usually on the side of the best looking mecha, though. Gundam/GM design is ass, if it ain't thicc it ain't good lookin' :P

Zaku forever!

Host for mine had died for... I'unno, probably a year or something? Been a while since I could be arsed to fix it. We'll see how long this one lasts, I guess.

You mean the moment they realize it does know how to land the flying tank, but only one way (that doesn't leave other passengers alive and involves words like "crater").

Sands of Salzaar apparently left EA... yesterday? Something like that. It's hit the full 1.0 release, in any case. Neat little strategy/rpg thing, it's been mentioned a few times somewhere or another.

Been awhile since I've played it, but I'm probably going to check back in sometime in the next few days.
