As I said, either you get it or you don't.
... actually, having read the article, the tingling sensation described has been pretty trivial to actively induce, in my experience. One of the possible physical reactions to meditation. Can get that stuff to go off with a few deliberate breaths and some attention, these days. Would make it distinct from the involuntary brain orgasm "meridian" response, but yeah.

Definitely get the autonomous reaction from certain sorts of music, though (This 'un can hit it pretty easily, ferex), if I'm in the right sort of mood. S'just... pretty easy to latch on to, magnify, and flat induce. Latter took a few years to get down, heh.

Old records are just the record skipping/scratching, if it's not static like putnam's link. Dunno if there's anything more formal in terms of terminology than just record skipping. Kinda' doubtful, but... hell, you're in college, right? Ask one of the music profs, maybe.

Also, this seems like maybe a rundown on what's happening?

... this, I think. And it's just... static? Sounds like what you're talking about, anyway. Maybe.

Ah, first bit ninja'd.

Besides, they're just about mandatory anyway. You can't enter primary or secondary education without proof of active vaccination, and I'm sure there are other places proof is needed as well.
*coughs* Actually, you could waive most of them, last time I had to deal with that, and that may have only been for housing.* I think the one I'm in right now didn't even ask.

*I'm fairly sure I've got the big ones, but gods be buggered if I knew where the paperwork was, so I waived most of them >_>

the ability to put the same chemical into everybody, after it has gone through clinical trials.
Hnn... disregarding the rest of the conversation, clinical trials -- in the states, at least -- are not quite as rigorous (or corruption proof, it seems some days) as I'd prefer, m'self. Might not mean much, in practice.

From what I recall and what some cursory reminding-searching has been popping up, the chances of any of us actually running out of physical space, so to speak, for memory in our lifetime is pretty darn slim, barring some serious lifespan extension coming up. More worrisome is varying sorts of damage and degradation, really.

So. No need to worry about running out, or replacing stuff you've already learned as you learn new stuff (at least, like... unintentionally or something. You more or less don't have to pay memory to get more memories.). Sometimes you can't get rid of crap you learned yesteryear even if you bloody want to.

Just... just be sure to check with other people that have gone through that evaluation period thing. Especially those that didn't make it through. Some employers are pretty scuzzy about that sort of thing, from what I understand. Otherwise, congrats!

E: In personal happy, trip to store netted a fairly significant (for my habits, anyway. It'll probably last... well, at least two or three weeks. I think.) amount of sweet things. Whee~

Possibly. Depends on how the new sex determination works out, I'd imagine. It's a ways off (massive understatement), regardless, but in the mean time it does kinda' mean males are going to be increasingly (if incredibly gradually so) prone to gene-related issues. Which they already are. The deterioration of the Y chromosome is flat fact, but what that entails for what's called male traits is up in the air, apparently. There's just nothing necessarily linking said traits in the Y chromosome. S'far as I can parse, anyway.

I can't decide if the world's gone mad or if it's always been mad and we're just better able to realize that now.
Fairly sure the overall (at least in the western world ::)) percentage of that-crap to population has been steadily reducing. There's just a lot more of us, we're just a lot better at noticing it, and a goddamn monkeyfrakking hell of a lot better of vomiting that shit all over national news. Ratings!

Finally giving up on my great-grandmother's bathmat ;_;
Just want to say... if that bathmat has lasted three (four?) generations, you totes need to go find whoever made it and procure another one. And maybe tell the rest of us where it came from >_>

Currently going for 35 on Desura. D3 is ~16 on steam with the sale, 20 normally. Price is a lot more reasonable this time around. I'd probably expect a fairly decent sale for D4... maybe next summer or christmas? Not too long, really. Illwinter's gotten a lot more savvy about pricing since they ditched shrapnel, heh. Or at least whoever's handling the price for 'em.

At the risk of being naive, I totally interpreted that as part of Levi violently beating Eren, but arranged suggestively for maximum shipping capacity. But... hrmmmm. You may have a point.
Ehn... I could see that interpretation...

...if it weren't for one of them not wearing pants. That bare leg was kinda' blatant :P

Also those were totes the anime "two dudes buggering" faces. I don't think I've ever seen it in any other context, ha.

... you know about balance and ruin, right? Pretty sure you do, but... have to make sure.

... or, at least, if you are going to drink soda, stick to the off brands and never buy anything but 2 liters (barring the odd occurrence of a sale knocking down the price/ounce of the canned or smaller bottled stuff). Larger volume stuff itself is honestly a ripoff (it takes pennies to make that stuff, the markup is incredible :P) too, but at least it's not as bad of a ripoff. If the addicts among you can't muster the will to wean off the drug, y'might consider alternatives to supplement the stuff. I've found the, like, lemonade mixes and whatnot to be a pretty good value for sweet drinks and seem to take some of the bite off of weaning off. S'been like 2 bucks for 4-6 gallons worth (5-4 cent/ounce -- iirc, soda trends towards 8-6 cent/ounce, where I'm at.), so far, so long as you can provide the water and the containers to mix it in. If you're going to be an addict, might as well try to minimize the pocketbook hurt, I say.

But yeah. Haven't had any caffeine since something like February. Still the occasional non-caffeinated soda (I likes me my rootbeer), but doin' pretty good~
