Does anyone OTHER then me dislike Jeans? Like... period?

They are just so heavy and inflexible.
... the weight is true, but I kinda' like that. I haven't worn inflexible jeans (at least, not like after a day of wearing them or a cycle through the washing machine), though. I also haven't really worn a fitting pair of clothes in... ever, though. More or less. Most of the stuff I've got is at least a size large. Jeans also seem a bit more capable of concealing the pocket contents than... lighter material. Which is kinda' a consideration for me, since I tend to be carrying a good pound or two of junk in them.

I like my clothes loose, really. Feels constraining when stuff's actually, like. Tight or well sitting or whatever. If it were socially acceptable I'd totes just wear a bath/house robe around everywhere. Maybe a light shirt and reasonable underclothes, but not much else.

Might want to poke the other thread, see if you can drum something up. There's also a steam group, if you've got steam access. Things have been fairly quiet for a few weeks, but there's definitely folks willing to play if someone wrangles 'em into a game.

Wouldn't be able to do anything until thursday night or so, m'self, though. Definitely be up for a game or two this next weekend.

*waggles hand* Sorta'? Problem is when "cool and relaxing" translates into "completely forgettable". It's like... Morrowind and stuff. I could still remember some of the general travel themes and whatnot a few days later. Terraria's tunes actually stuck in my head -- I play that for a while and a few days later I'll still be getting the underground theme or whatev' intruding from time to time. Legend of Zelda's travel music stuff was pretty good about that, too, for certain areas. Just as examples.

Most of the stuff on the starbound soundtrack, even after listening through it a few times sequentially... I could remember basically nothing. Like, I'd go back to the start and, despite having listened to the track not very long before, I literally could not remember listening to it. That's an extreme anomaly for me -- I'm fairly capable of recognizing at least having listened to most of OCRemix's music, even the stuff I've only listened through once, just as an example.

... beyond that, I'd kinda' disagree. While exploring, I want music that emphasizes that exploration. If cool and relaxing is what's appropriate for that, then... good. Sometimes it's not. Personally, at least, oftentimes it's not. I want music that engages on some level or no music at all, m'self, and instead a strong portfolio of atmospheric sounds. Wind, water, rain, movement, dirt/rock shifting, etc. Basically, if I'm not feeling any different with or without the music playing, then... why is it playing, y'know?

Sound just for sound's sake -- which, t'me, is what unengaging background noise is -- is, hrm. Call it aesthetically unpleasing, yeah? It's an odd man out. Doesn't fit with the rest of the experience. And... often, m'self, that actually causes me to disengage somewhat from the game itself, because it's, like. Not integrated. It doesn't surround the other aspects, thread through them and enhance. So it grates. There's reasons I play most games muted, really :-\

... you've forgotten the initial reaction to the soundtrack, a ways back, haven't you? Or just missed it, I guess. Somewhere back around post 1270 or thereabouts, if searching is accurate. Least one of them. Somewhere back in April.

The music's quality, yeah -- it's solid stuff -- but much of it isn't really attention grabbing. Few earwigs, not very... engaging, in and of itself. Outside of a few particular tracks, which. Well. Suppose the hope from me is that they indicate that the artist is obviously capable of pulling it off and will have done so to a greater degree by the time the thing actually rolls to the public.

Would be nice!

Just visualize Gendo's face on whoever that is's body and be giddily amused.

Gendo's got one of those faces you can stick on pretty much anyone's neck and the amusement factor multiplies.

Of course, while you're laughing, Gendo-Kratos has probably shoved your parent's soul into a giant robot and wiped out 3/4ths of the world's population, but... well, just that's how Gendo rolls, really.

Well. That got serious quickly.
*preemptive* No relation!

Those buggers are probably 75% of the reason this user name gets used in other places, though. I mean, by people not me. The actual source is somewhat less known among internet users. As in I get *frumple*d at regularly, but there's been like two people that identified where I actually took the name from.

E: Apparently not preemptive enough.

Desert Battle 2, Neo.

E: It is overall pretty heavy on the ambiance, though. I'm kinda' hoping we (preorder folks, or whatever) get an updated/finished soundtrack eventually. I'd think there's, like, more tracks by now. Maybe some polish on stuff that's already there, too.

Another Yogi Berra-ism that makes a little bit of sense: "The future ain't what it used to be."
Translation: He(?) is the time traveler that's to blame for us not having flying cars, unlimited clean energy, and world peace. Entirety of the world's geopolitical strife is due to that bastard screwing with things to ruin the future. And that -ism is Berra's way of barefacedly mocking us all.

I don't even know who the guy is, but I think I may hate 'im a little.

Those angels look like Davesprite...
Last one (that we can currently see, anyway) looks more like doggy Noir, t'me. Ones before that did look like davesprite, though!

Also everything seems to be going white. Makes me wonder if we're not going to get some cameos from something else with a notably large amount of whitespace.

How would you explain Lord English's appearance, then? I mean, the physical similarities between him and Caliborn... even the whole Lord of Time thing, are kind of tough to dismiss.
... I kinda' thought Jake was going to end up being Lord English this whole time, really. There were a lot of appearance cues linking Jake to LE when Jake was introduced. Might have been fake outs, but...

Of course.

More likely.

They're going to fuse. Or maybe LE is Jake and Caliborn's paradox butt baby.

If I'm lucky, nobody will notice.
... if you hadn't said anything, they wouldn't have. S'too late, now. Stigma will somehow arise from it, it will attach to you, and somehow, someway, thirty years from now you'll still be hearing about it. You will lose jobs because of this.

All because you had to go and taunt Murphy.

But... But beginner bot game?
Sometimes (okay, most of the time) I just like to see pretty colors and watch things-that-aren't-me fall down. I'm also fairly terrible at this sort of AoS. I can actually manage alright against intermediate bots, but... most of the time that I've played them, a significant portion of the other players didn't. Beginner bots, there are no fucks to give. Anything goes. You'll win anyway. Pretty colors, things fall down.

... I did lose that one TT match where both the other players D/Ced at the start of the match, though. Barely.

E: People. People! Revelation. Support rengar... perhaps suboptimal. Slightly. Somewhat.

E2: 7 second CD on Thresh's Q is just... just beautiful.

... hell, I could solo, too, if for some reason more numbers were needed for the solo tourney. I'd just lose, as opposed to only potentially dragging my team into the dirt :P

Somewhere or another, probably. Check around the wikileak threads a ways back. This probably isn't the place to dig up all that varying amounts of bullshit again. Or PM MW about it or something. S'not really relevant to Australian politics at this point, if the guy's already lost.
