General Discussion / Re: I like anime, do you like anime?

Also open endings are (usually) much better for fanfiction. It's a good(?) thing! Fires imaginations, gets writing organs oozing wonderfully. All sorts of benefits. And associated detriments, but net positive, etc., etc.

Plus, yeah, there's something somewhat delightfully spiteful about, just. Not giving the fans closure. At least when it's not done specifically to hook for a sequel.

I've never been to an after-party.

Or in a play.

Probably for the better, to be honest. >_>
I've been in one! Play, that is.

It left me with an unending, barely restrainable, murderous hatred of oompa loompas. Goddamn orange midgets actually make my vision tint red. It's been over a decade and the effect still lingers.

Also a little bit of voice training that somehow internalized and became subconscious. I can't control it, but somehow the voice gets where it needs to go, usually. It's useful! Bright side.

At least reporting the debit card stolen missing cost nothing, gunna be a pain replacing the license though.   Can't drive to DMV because no license, can't get license because I must drive to DMV.   Meh.
Public transport? Taxi?

Heeheehee, ah, the local officials and their job-specific training.

I still remember the illiterate city council member. One of the folks able to override mayoral authority if enough of them vote the right way. Couldn't read, ha ha! One character among many.

... but yeah. If you've got anyone who's actually inside the local governmental system enough to know some of the dirt? It's... definitely one of those, "How the hell hasn't this country collapsed yet?" kind of things. Least for smaller areas. Presumably larger ones are "Same bullshit, bigger pile", ha.

And hey. Place I was in almost did go bankrupt a few times. To say nothing of some of the blatant (and I mean deflecting-federal-investigation blatant) corruption.

Good times. By which I mean there's a sizable portion of the town and its population I wouldn't particular mind if went up in literal flames.

That's... kinda' disturbin' lookin' if you don't know what QWOP is.

Why are you taking a class about basic office software? Excel is not exactly complicated unless you're doing serious maths with it.
Most likely? Because it's a prerequisite for later classes, and there exists no way to test out of it.

Also. Just. Also. You'd be surprised. I've seen it take over a week to (begin to) get absolute/mixed cell references. Just, like. As a start. And not, y'know. Imbeciles. Working folks, decently experienced, fairly competent and intelligent. But looking at excel makes their brains basically ooze out their ears.

Stuff bloody well needs a test to circumvent for prereqs, though. If you can manage bloody microsoft certification or whatever, you're probably capable of handling whatever later classes need the skillset.

E: Also, it's not "teaching" office software. It's specifically teaching microsoft office products. Think on it for, like, two seconds. And you'll have one of the other major answers.

Yeah... Dekar was in the GBA one, too. Though your omission of that one may be understandably intentional :P

Was honestly pretty alright, but it definitely wasn't as good as Lufia 2 and there was a bit of some fan backlash, as I understand it.

And... don't recall if he was in the just-gameboy one or not, hrm. It was a pretty different thing.

21247
Aye, aye. Second one was better in... pretty much all ways, really. But I'm fairly sure th'first one had puzzles and combat, too. What it didn't have was pokemon, which is why that's what I use to keep the two separate in my head :P

Not like I can use characters mumblemumble. Also doesn't help with the later Lufia(s?), since the only one I can remember (the GBA thing) also had the pokemon going on.

Well. Guess y'could also think of Fortress of Doom as "The One Without Dekar", too...

21248
Way I remember it is that Lufia 2 is the one with the pokemon. Nice and easy delineation.

I was expecting a constant backjumpslide (whatever that move is called that you seen in a lot of castlevania tas). That was much quieter a movement.
Just called backdash, usually. You might appreciate the dawn of sorrow ones, too, if quieter is preferred.

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin TAS. One of the more ridiculous things I've seen in a while, due largely to the main method of getting around. /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

... for a short period, GO wished he were [sic] a lesbian. That's all there really is to it.

Yeah... yeah. To hell with teleportation. I'mma' jump. Throw pet out first to cushion landing. Then build space elevator to get back to ship. This is righteous path.

Unless they let us build player launching cannons. In which case it's back to Seiken Densetsu and I start making potshots at my ship with me.

Gamz seems a little more agitated than normal, maybe?

It takes a lot more than just being female to be the strangest man in existence.
