I will say. Watching these pro games, especially with the commentary... it makes me want to play DotA, despite largely finding playing it to be pretty miserable. Just finished watching that LGD vs Alliance game one thing. One of the more entertaining things I've seen in a while, ha.

Now to watch game two.

I guess... I guess that's the measure of a sport? When it's more fun to watch than it is to play?

Yeah... I hear yeh, Vec. When you're not someone that's really comfortable with the whole consume-consume-consume thing, it can get hard to see a point to things in this culture, some days.

Also hard to find stuff to support yourself on that doesn't, like, feed into that. Just want somewhat comfortable work that's actually giving some kind of benefit to my community/people instead of feeding the consumer machine and it's... not easy. Which makes motivation hard, bleh.

... yeah, that's been a kind of tempting back-of-head thought for me, too. I generally like their floor plans, and there's a non-negligible tendency for them to be kinda'... out of the way, in some areas, but still close enough to things to be, y'know, close to things.

Smaller one, probably covert the general open area (pews et al) that's common with 'em into a two-story deal, put up some walls and whatnot in the open areas, maybe. S'usually a lot of open space you can play with in those things. Potential.

And expensive, of course. Ehn.

Can't be. I connect through two different devices and one of them (my phone) had its entire memory wiped just a couple months ago. Yet I still have 190 days logged on. What gives?
Yeah... total time logged in hasn't reset despite me going through about three (four?) computers since it started ticking up. S'got nothing to do with the local data.

... I don't suppose they'd be interested in knowing that, y'know, binge studying often isn't very helpful? You need, like. Breaks. And mixing things up, and changing topics, and occasionally just not doing anything related to it while your brain processes stuff. And then coming back after several hours (/a day or three) and going back over it, maybe some spot quizzes off and on over a period. Sitting and just studying for extended periods is... not good study habits. Brains usually don't respond too well to that, from what I recall.

Pretty sure there's a few studies out there that actually pinned down optimal studying periods, in terms of time invested. Our heads can generally only go so long before they start experiencing degraded performance. Maybe hunt 'em up, present 'em. Need to be studying smarter, not necessarily harder.

wouldn't divine perfection necessitate whimsy's possession of God?

Fixed that for you.
Think it goes more like that, actually...

We have got to the stage where they are trying to convince me that the rules of the universe operate on Gods whim.
... wouldn't divine perfection necessitate the impossibility of God possessing whimsy? Would think omniscience would get in the way of something like that, too...

wat
[Sexbots are apparently going to be a thing 40 years from now]
... 40 years? I'd expect sooner, depending on how feature, uh. Rich? A thing folks are after. There's already stuff that, like, talks and whatnot on the market, from what I recall. There's plenty of money being thrown at the development of such things, I do believe, and fairly basic models of something like that probably isn't far off (and there's probably prototypes already built/in construction), if folks wanted it built. And they kinda' do.

Mostly I'm curious about the wat response, though. What exactly were you expecting? Development of such things was an inevitability from the word go, and the likelyhood of it lagging far behind other developments in the robotics field was vanishingly slim. We're humans. This is one of the things we do. Have done, are doing, will do going forward.

Hahahaaa... man, that is an auditing nightmare, right there, from what my current studying has been telling me. Separation of duties is an important thing from the covering-own-ass angle, heee!

But... good luck. S'gotta' be stressful.

Eh, Dittos. Technically, ever single thing we've seen, monster or otherwise, could be a pokemon.

Beyond that, what doesn't look like it could be a pokemon these days The series has lasted long enough there's a fairly expansive sample size.

Frumple, I want to know...
Why do you have that many...windows?
Tabs.

Because tabbing is easier than bookmarking, for me. I'm also reading quite a few things in varying degrees of parallel.

And...

... is that a lizard person with a beard?

Screenshot is indeed rather large.*

Also neat, X3. Can't really run the game, so watching should be nice.
