Hn. Aren't there like, online phones or something? Or those... track phones, or whatever. Throwaway, buy-by-minute stuff.

Definitely means I'll probably never actually upload anything to youtube, though. Probably wouldn't have anyway, but... yeah.

... just give them a fake one?

Nyet! Together we are stronk! :<
Stronk and GLORIOUSLY BRUTALIZED! Ahahahaha!

... yeah. It's kinda' rare that a game kicks my ass and I like it, but... yeah. Been happening lately. Usually not fun, but it's been fun this time. Avernum~

... John Pistole? Viper teams?

Damnit all. Really? No one looked at this and went, "Hey, maybe we shouldn't be naming ourselves after bad action flick villains?"

Morbidly amusing that the effectiveness of the shit is "classified", though.

... though, as I said somewhere, sometimes not the latter! Or, at least, it doesn't necessarily stop being terrifying. I'm still as terrified of driving as I was when I started... several years back, now. Just more inured to the terror, and generally less nerve wracked by the end of a trip. Generally.

It definitely gets easier and less likely to kill others/yourself as you get more practice in, though. Which is good!

*pat pat* The first time I drove, beyond the driving test and maybe a couple trips to the corner store (<5 minute drive) was a three hour highway trip (Nearly 200 miles). Easy trip, actually, and I didn't have any problems at all.

Took a good hour or so for the shakes to stop, once I made it where I was going and turned the car off.

Ah, there we go. Cheers Dark.

Y'know, I have actually been watching. Has the roadmap thing been being updated?

Heard of it, yeah. Don't have anything able to run it, though, and zero intention of getting a 3DS. Think there was something similar on the PS2 (maybe 3?), but I'm forgetting the name. E: Namco x Capcom, I think. Also TBS. PS2 game. Was fantranz'd back in... '08? Something like that.

... oh. Yeah, if so. Super Robot Wars.

Those things are ridiculously well written for what they are. Like damn. They actually have plot, and it's sometimes even pretty darn good. S'crazy.

Oh and, for the sake of scholarly experiment, has anyone here seen a crossover with more than three source materials that didn't make you want to turn your head into a fine paste?
I actually kinda' enjoyed Hybrid Theory. Ranma, Sailor Moon, Street fighter, as strong influences, as well as several others (iirc, it's been a few years since I finished reading through it). Megacrossover. Also a self-insert, and well over a million words. Disturbingly well written, considering. Then there's this thing. X-COM, Ranma, Teen Titans. It's actually a crossover between two crossover fics. Also over a million words, at this point.

Also find the stuff by this guy to be fairly alright, which has a couple things that mix Gundam, Battletech, and then heaping dashes of other material into the mix.

There's others out there, too. It's not impossible. Just... difficult.

Frumple plays Avernum games?

* Haspen learns something new everyday o:
Have been, somewhat recently. Got spiderweb bundle... little bit ago. Two, three weeks. Played through a good chunk of the geneforge stuff a while back, but I ended up biting into the Avernum 1 remake and have gotten somewhat hooked. Even though the UI of everything done before around Avernum 5 is... somewhat painful. Especially after the junk bag (which is just goddamn glorious and every loot-heavy RPG should have, damn the realism.). I'm kinda' playing my way backwards. Mostly done with Escape from the Pit (I think), currently tearing into 6. Good stuff. Spiderweb produces some solid games.

Did you tell him you were the best there's ever been at any point?
It didn't give me the chance *despairing flailing*

Playing Avernum 6. Suddenly, Devil Went Down to Georgia shoutout.*

By the demon that had been used as the target for an anvil conjuring spell, and was fighting me, to wit, "to preserve [his] vacation". Thing was so impressed by the style of the wizard who was researching the cartoon anvil death spell he decided to stick around, and I had to run him off. Damnit all, these games are golden.
