Time to start working on that cookbook, Siru. Also maybe checking the local laws on impromptu fire pits. Lot can be done with a grill, a couple of bricks, and some branches.

Well, and something to set the branches alight.

*vague shrug* Coin tosses. D6, d20, whatever. If cannot choose rationally, choose arbitrarily. Decision paralysis generally means you've got multiple good choices, so just pick one at random. If that choice doesn't work out, flip for the next one. Rinse, repeat.

I've heard that a group of engineers in Canada tried to build a similar minesweeping vehicle in 1946. They've attached two jet engines to a RAM II tank. It was found out during testing that the jet stream failed to trigger the mines. Instead, it sent them flying around the test site like frisbees.
This needs to become a sport. It'd be, like, I'unno. Air hockey mixed with extreme Frisbee, shrapnel mine edition.

... I'd probably recommend some extra research, then. Of all the words I've heard in my exposure to the situation on that continent, "simple" is not one of them.

But yeah, we should be leaving the topic be for a while.

Eh, I'm in Florida. Cold is a fleeting thing, unrecognized by people in areas with actual seasons. It just... doesn't get cold here. At all. Ever. It cools off during the winter, though, yeah. Enough getting wet actually can get'cha clammy. Never outside of winter, though.

Even during winter, though, I do the occasional walk in the rain. Cold water feels good, too. Invigorating.

I just realized how much I actually like winter. Like, I know that during the hotter seasons everyone always bitches and moans "I wish it was winter!" and as soon as it's winter they immediately go "I wish it was summer!"
Not me. I hate summer. And most of spring and fall. I don't want winter to go, and it never lasts long enough. Sometimes I cry when winter is starting the warm up cycle. This state is too goddamn hot. Only... four or so months to go. Maybe three and a bit. Hopefully. Sometimes winter just never comes, fall extends, and spring brofists fall to winter's detrimental nonexistence and my misery.

I fail to understand how people enjoy getting cold and drenched.
... because it feels incredibly good. Some of us really like being soaked. If it wasn't such a nuisance re: laundry I'd make rain walks a more regular thing.

Though it does help, in my case, that for like 3/4ths of the year, it doesn't matter how drenched you get, you're not getting cold because of it. Not from rain, anyway.

Dumb from the internet

"Canon battle" doesn't mean a canonical battle.

It means a battle between two characters using their canonical abilities but without metaplot.
No, no... it's when two old priests start clocking each other with holy texts. Canons at twenty paces, yeah. Throwing is acceptable, but only if the text is damaged no more than is repairable.

... well, I guess that'd be more a canon dual. Canon battle would be when there's a bunch of them. It's a rare, but bloody event. Last one standing determines church doctrine.

Or rather. It's whatever the blazes people want to mean at the time, since it's pretty much completely unused outside of fan base related stuff.

There is something entirely too wonderful about music that undulates. That is all.

That... that sensation. When you've read through about half of a pretty decently constructed piece of literature, run head first into a full chapter smut scene, and realize, "Oh. I'm... I'm reading romance fiction, aren't I?"

... and then you keep reading, because hey, it's a pretty decently constructed piece of romance fiction. *vague, confused mutterances*

FUCK THE FUCKING SUMMER!
Plus one an'cheers, mate.

Hnn... maybe?

Nope, I talk out loud. I even have arguments with myself (mostly over what to have for dinner).
Am I crazy in a "bad" way? D:
I consider the "only a problem if something starts talking back" heuristic as pretty comfortable. S'long as, y'know, the something isn't another actual person.

And yeah, I natter and limerick and occasionally opera at myself (O Fortuna, Soundtrack of the Loo.) when there's no one around fairly often. Keeps the vocal cords functioning and limber for when I actually have to talk to other people. Plus it's fun, and by the nonexistent gods that's enough reason in and of itself.

Have a pastebin dump of the article, then. Site's terrible for me, too, if I don't turn off plugins and javascript. Most news sites are, bleh.
