General Discussion / Re: Things that made you go "WTF?" today o_O

Finally got around to using latest soap and...

... good gods. This is the most obscene cleaning supply I have ever used. I was not prepared for something like this, this early in the morning.

Good stuff, though. Lathers well, nice and neutral scent, also the least expensive (dollar wise, anyway) I could find last time I went shopping. S'just. If I used this stuff to wash my hands and someone was watching, I wouldn't be entirely surprised to find a twenty slipped into my waistband or somethin'.

Not sure if last day entries count, but have a sixteenth picture. Regardless as to the contest,

... barring emulators, anyway.

Goddess? Wat?
Divine physiology is the results of a great deal of hallucinogens and just enough alcohol to make the imbiber think telling people about it is a good idea. Better not to question it. Your god self is female.

Yesterday I was walking through a supermarket before I went to my performance, and spotted one of those little variety packs of tiny boxes of cereal.

Half price.

Who could resist.
Anyone willing to actually run the price per unit calculation, probably. Variety packs tend to be more expensive :-\

Always gotta' check that half off sale junk, too. More'n once I've seen half off still be like 1.5x the price of the off brand or somethin'. Ruddy predatory marketing.

Rope solves many problems, Siru.

In other news, on one hand, I just had to go through a cave full of spiders, looking for the spider named Spider that would give me a quest. All of them were named Spider. And looked identical. Somewhat annoying.

On the other hand, during the process, my dudeling was propositioned by one of the spiders. That was sufficiently amusing to make up for it.

That Gauge thing claims I spent 50k euros on Steam games o.O
Yeah... doesn't count sales, et al. It's valued my collection at something like 7x what I paid for it, heh.

Ok well how is this... Are you still a princess if the planet that you are meant to be a princess of is destroyed by a space station so fucking huge it is often mistaken for a moon, leaving only a field of asteroids and a disturbance in the force so strong that Obi Wan checked his pants before saying anything?
... why wouldn't you be? Leia is presumably (I don't actually recall how the books handle it, so whatevs) the princess of the Alderaan people. Or at least their nation-type entity, whatever. There'd still be plenty of... Alderaani? Or something. Running around, and there's probably still enough to count as a cohesive (if badly shaken) political entity. They'd still be around, the political entity'd still be around (albeit much smaller), ergo Leia is still a Alderaan princess. Leia'd kinda' be a like a Jewish princess (assuming such things exist, blazes if I remember or ever knew to begin with) circa diaspora or something. No homeland, still people, still political entity, still royalty.

They get a new planet eventually anyway, iirc. Space travel allows for this wonderful thing where your planet can blow up and your political entity just kinda' shrugs and gets a new one or forms a giant roaming space flotilla or something. Is one of those reasons extraplanetary or extrasolar colonization is a really great thing in the long run.

Numero Fifteen!

... wasn't it the point of a tangent a bit back that Siru did go through Vegas already? He's apparently the goddess of trucks and whores now.

21655
... the cognitive effort it takes to do that is roughly equivalent to just taking the bloody thing.

Might check jamendo. Seems to have at least some stuff under creative commons, which might work for you. Folks that did the music ToME4 is using (Celestial Aeon Project) has their stuff somewhere on there.

... that sensation when you look at an extra credit assignment, realize you'd pass the course if you flat bombed the final, and then just shrug the opportunity off. It's... mildly liberating.

More troublesome is the urge to flat bomb the final, just because I can. I won't (if for no other reason than failing stuff like this takes almost as much effort as passing, these days :-\), but it's tempting.

... bah. Space is different now! So sayeth improbable biology! You'll take your uncaring egg humpers and like it!

I know that there's a button to see how much money you've spent on Steam but I am actively choosing not to push it.  I can't handle that shit.
... where is it? Found the purchase history, but can't seem to find a convenient "total" button.

... maybe, maybe not. They do kinda' look froggy. Might be patterned offa' one of those species that does the whole mass-of-eggs thing. Don't even remember if the pair involved there even see each other.

Or was that fish? Eh. Point being that sex differentiation doesn't necessarily imply sexual attraction. There's other methods! Maybe the male Gungans have an egg fetish instead. And suddenly bald humans become very attractive to certain subsets of the Gungan population.
