Having one, sure... the active ones, sometimes less so. Especially if you're on a relatively weak computer :-\ Swear to Zeus I've had less problems over the years from viruses and malware than I have from bloody AV programs.

Personally, I mostly just keep an eye on active processes and do most of my 'net browsing with javascript/plugins turned off. Do a scanning battery every once in a while or when something starts acting up, but that's about it. Last scan came up clean... most do, really. *vague shrug*

Can probably manage, sure.

... lucky you? If you're saying you've never actually been in an area that had congregations of violently bigoted people, anyway. I've been living in and around them all my life, and I've seen the results of what happens when you do pretty much anything but join in or stay silent -- and sometimes not even the latter'll save you. Still places in the states where asking "why" would literally get you killed and definitely get you shitkicked, and plenty of places elsewhere.

E:
How about masturbation in public? Masturbation at someone? How about masturbating, taking a photo of you doing it from the waist down, and then passing it around to people telling them it was your mutual acquaintance?

That last one sorta got away from me just a little bit, but to be honest as well fitting as this sex analogy is, it sadly just doesn't fit everything.
1. Does the public consent?
2. Do they consent?
3. Do they consent?
Wouldn't that heuristic render public speaking or broadcast a complete impossibility? There's pretty much always going to be people that don't consent, to pretty much anything, caught in the proverbial crossfire. Not that I'd exactly complain about the removal of background radio or waiting room TVs and suchlike, but yeah.

It really is the detective show with the most hilariously high body count I ever seen.
... what is "it"? Besides a detective show (apparently?), that is.

... so you're saying all I have to do to gain proficiency in ballet and ice skating is murder someone?

But isn't "rightness" essentially an emotional reaction to something? You "feel" something is "right" therefore it is virtuous?
Ehn. Sorta', but not exactly. S'more in line with something that adheres to the system in question's axiomatic base.

'Course, axioms themselves are ultimately established based on aesthetic preferences and could be considered being chosen based on feeling from that direction... but that's getting hella' meta.

So if I'm understanding correctly, you basically feel that people should be able to say whatever they want to say so long as the person they're saying it to actually wants to hear it?
Correct. In addition, if they address no one, they are also free to express any of their ideas in any medium to preserve the arts.
And if the person they're addressing doesn't want to hear it? Then it's acceptable to curtail free speech, in that specific instance?

Yeah, that might be possible... it's been quite a while since I played. Last posts before these recent ones was back at the tail end of 2011, which was probably the last time I played.

And yeah, it was a special that caused it. Don't remember that happening back when, but maybe I just never ran into it.

Pretty sure boss Toad doesn't care, other than perhaps giving them a pat on the back for going for it. Imitation, flattery, etc. S'fair to get fussy when there's actual code stolen without attribution, not so when it's just taking inspiration.

Also Towns has enough innovations to stand alone, insofar as I'm aware, and, hey, we've done this topic probably over a dozen times. Do we really need to have yet another go at it?

... huh. Do accounts get wiped if they're idle for a while or something? Got my old account going again and, well... everything was gone :-\

Had a training zaku and a couple gifts, but nothing else.

E: Game seems... somewhat less stable than I remember. Yesterday I had an access violation/crash within two games... today, psycho gundam glitched out and become unhittable.

... was amusing to stand on its head while the mission counted down to failure, though.

Might need to use yer toes too if it's one of those ones you have to hold down one button and press another to adjust the time, then. Remember to stretch appropriately before bending self into Clocktric Yoga poses.

... ah. Would you... like to learn how? Better than even odds someone could walk you through it. S'only a few variations on the theme of alarm clock controls, really...

S'generally not that complicated. Unless maybe you're missing fingers, then it might get tricky depending on the model of the clock.

It functions just fine.
I can't operate it besides turning it on and off.
???

I, uh. Generally alarm clocks that you can't change the time of aren't really considered functioning...?

Refer to every single time I've said I can't operate it besides turning it on and off.
Soooo... invest in a new alarm clock? Obvious solution to non-functioning clock is fix or replace. Looks like a cheap one'd run like ten-twelve bucks on the low end, and that's via online shopping (discount one on the ground'd probably come cheaper). S'worth it for a steadied sleeping cycle.

PRC says too many students are cheating in one school, bring in 54 external invigilators with metal detectors and frisk searching to combat the cheating.

Riots ensued.

wow

I mean, it makes sense in context but damn.

... maybe use the alarm clock? I mean. You said you had one, slayer. And that it worked. So...?

Being able to set your own sleeping schedule is kinda' an important skill to develop. Alarms are very helpful for that! Especially when they're not biological and possibly dealing with other commitments.
