... do you even need to swim to be able to survive that? I mean... jump. Easy to clear that distance pushing off the floor/bed and get over the surface long enough to get some breath. Water, y'know? Keep jumping. Head toward shallower area. I've... actually done that, in pools of similar depth. mostly for the fun of it but still
Kinda' wish I could tread water, m'self. Swim fine, float fine, but that... never seems to work.
Anywaay. It's not really that hard, usually. Just... figure out what works for you, and do that. I'm fairly terrible with overhand strokes and whatnot, but can get across most normal sized pools in one breath going underwater. Or could, anyway, last time I went swimming. S'been a while

Not sure if I could offer any advice beyond the standard practice-practice-practice rigmarole. I haven't actually paid attention to the formalized rules of English grammar for so long I've forgotten most of it. S'all muscle memory at this point, so to speak. Wish I could help
