Other Games / Small Arcengames Giveaway is over
« on: June 07, 2013, 11:46:48 am »
Royale whatsit tempted me, three things I wanted for ~five bucks, much savings, etc., etc., etc. Thing is, stuff in there I already had or didn't want.

So. Giveaway thingy. Foisting off AI War and expansions up to Ancient Shadows as a bundle, Shattered Haven, and Tidalis. Steam or desura keys as requested (looks like the desura ones are all in one or something, so... no go.).

Fairly standard giveaway rules apply; bay watcher, registered >30 days ago (so May 21st or earlier), indicate interest in joining. Can throw in for any or all, but no repeat winners. Random.org'll decide the recipients in... let's say about 48 hours, or around noon GMT-7 on Sunday, barring something coming up for me.

Current entrants as of last thread check:
Spoiler: AI Wars bundle (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Shattered Haven (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Tidalis (click to show/hide)

Sounds somewhat like Yggdra Union, except that it's for the GBA and PSP instead.
Seems to be a Yggdra game for the DS, too, just never translated.

Incidentally, re: strategy RPGs for the DS: It's probably on this list.

People dislike Morgan Freeman? O_o
Hey man, everyone has someone out there with a hate-on for 'em. It's like soulmates, just... antagonistic, universal, and not quite so terrible a concept.

That's not very frank at all ;_;

C'mon, things are a little slow. Throw some discussion onto the fire. Or something. S'not like the on/off toggles in your computer we're communicating through can actually do anything to your health.

Well... barring some sort of harmful radiation. Or convincing your computer to ignite and/or explode. Or... well, the list goes on. Suffice to say they probably can do things to your health, but being frank isn't likely going to be the trigger for it.

... 'course, "isn't likely" doesn't necessarily entail "isn't", hum. Maybe it might be safer to just run for the hillsslowly back away from the computer.

Either is fine, really. American politics thread also applicable.

Page or two back, Siri. Sun out, rain. Append "with a frying pan" and you get the local version of that f'me.

Devil beatin' his wife with a frying pan, actually. Least in this area.

And yeah, I hear y'all (one syllable, usually) often enough. Slip into it occasionally m'self.

That's what you think, ahahaha! They just need to know how to pass the driving test. Ability to operate steering wheel beyond that means nothing!

The test, it is passed anyway. And then they're driving.

Quite interesting bit in that update, for those inclined toward audio...

We also got the wonderful Logan Cunningham of Bastion fame on board for the voice acting. The samples he sent today were incredible.

Just... no rot art. Please? Guro makes baby squirrels cry.

... I'm not even sure if squrrels can cry, but... whatever. It's too late for silly things like physiology and fact to get between a statement and its expression.

Anyway. Just... do what you can until you can do more, I guess. S'how th'folks around me deal with that, anyway. Wait for retirement equivalent, they do, and do their little bits in between until then.

Nah, wikipedia did mention that. Apparently red hair was a sign of witchcraft. Lotta' whack shit was a sign of witchcraft, really. Who knows if there was a rhyme or reason to it.

I'd thought witches souls were just damned, though, not missing. Unless bartered away, I guess...

... I keep wondering where that redheads have no soul thing originated, bleh. Wikipedia sheds no light, and my headache is too large to seek other sources of information.

Sad thing is I've actually heard someone say that dead serious before, in person. Was telling that to their kid even. Was too befuddled to say anything :-\
