Dude(tte), first game I played multiplayer I had less time invested than that. We've got at least one fellow playing that insofar as I can recall started playing AI War entirely when they joined in. Zero experience, straight into the crucible.

Yeesh. Support corps are... a pain in the arse. A royal one.

A dozen flagships and 40+ spire maws, every other wave or so? Every other wave or so. Plus all the other junk it throws around. You'd think an ostensibly passive AI profile would make a game less troublesome but... nope! Keep on trucking, but if this attempt at a spire pushthrough doesn't pan out, the next one's going to be 6/6 vanillas.

Moment of technology-related cognitive dissonance today. Needed a flash drive for class... using my MP3 player for what we're doing was starting to... stress it. Which was bad. So I grabbed one when I went out shopping and... and...

... it's so tiny. I mean, I knew it was small when I got it, but it didn't really hit me until I took the thing out of its packaging. I just stood there staring at it for a bit, poking the package off and on, wondering if something was missing. It's an eight gig flash drive and it's smaller than my thumbnail. Not my thumb. Said thumb's fingernail. Well, I guess technically the thumb, too, but still. But it was just like, like. Where's the rest of it? No, that's really all of it. It's all there. It works, too. It's got more space on it than probably the combined hard drives of the first half dozen or more computers I worked with and I could probably comfortably fit it in my eye socket, if I didn't have an eye in the thing.

Technology. Eesh. I mean, it's great. But it's so... small. Now. Eetsy. Hug it and squeeze it and call it George, except that really would probably squish it into a little silicon pile of electroentrails. Which would be bad.

Ah well. Bring it on, future. Eventually one of these things will probably just be my fingernail, if I live long enough.

Annoyingly, neither law enforcement organization or officer is in that list. It took google to figure out that was what was being talked about. Wikipedia hath failed me, once more.

Honestly, I can't entirely say that the Starbound crew would be lessened if they just kinda' quietly, ah... flattered... some of what the Magicmaker folks have been doing. Starbound crew and basically everyone that does anything with bullet patterns, really. They're doing some rather satisfying stuff.

I am incredibly jealous of you right now. I wish society wasn't still so judgemental so I too could enjoy a pair of heels :p

I tried, once. Many years ago. Because, y'know. It's good to know. And I still remember it pretty well.

Because it was miserable. Above and beyond the whole staying standing part, they just kinda' hurt (and they fit, too, insofar as that goes. They weren't too large or small. Just painful.). Feet aren't meant to support weight like that D: Or at least mine aren't. Either/or.

That said. Regardless of gender, you can rock the disco. Heels like a g'damn. Get some bling, slip on that fro. Boogie down the street.

... but yeah, shoes. I only have one pair that doesn't have gaping holes in the bottom or pieces missing, at th'mo

Don't. Don't play on a snake map with core shield generators enabled. Just... don't.

For those who don't see the immediate issue with that... about half way through the snake map, will be one of the AI homeworlds. In the half of the snake map on the other side of that homeworld... will be the rest of the core shield generators. It took me a couple minutes of staring and puzzling to figure out why the hell all the homeworld guard posts were invincible. When I did... I'm not ashamed to say I cried a little.

E: Spirecraft jumpships are freaking incredible. That is all.

E2: How to deal with core wrath lance: Mk IV spire jumpship full of spire penetrators. Splat!

E3: How to feel silly: Realize spire penetrators can't be transported.
