Damn it. Now I want to try AoE Parrrley Gangplank.
One thing I've tentatively settled on in relationship to that is to definitely not get iceborn first. Shiv as your first multi-hit seems ideal, as the crit chance (including for parrrley, of course) and crittable proc has been feeling pretty brutal when you first get it, and the extra movespeed lets you leverage that well. Iceborn's... just got stats in a lot of places you don't really need at that point, especially the mana (and I'd probably argue the armor is excessive for a first major item pick), and while it helps with sustain/tankiness a bit (via armor and citrus AP boost), GP doesn't really seem to need much of that early on. Shiv's also a good 750 gold cheaper. Shiv and iceborn together do pretty much just melt creep waves, though, and the extra slow's nice vs. champs.

Next go I have at it, I'll probably take shiv then tiamat, methinks. Iceborn can come later, if at all.

Now I'm suddenly wondering if malady's a thing you'd stick on an AP/hybrid GP, hrm. It'd let you get a bit extra offense out of your AP for parrrley and normal whacks, after all... would help funnel some of that AP towards common use offense instead of sustain and the ult.

I was legitimately unaware Quinn existed. Those patch notes were the first time I've noticed Quinn's existence.

... so that's what happen when mecha anime and kaijuu meets major western media studios. Be neat to watch it four or five years after release, heh.

I am now morbidly curious as to if it will include harem comedy shenanigans, though. Might as well go full monty, am I right?

When does humility ever pay off?
It's kinda' paid dividends for me over the years, especially when I'm dealing with individuals over a longer period. Help above and beyond the minimum, occasional special consideration, general good will and cooperation... I've seen all these to comparatively greater degrees, when put up against those who strut about. Humility is generally a component of robust self-awareness, from what I've seen, and, well.

That said, our system will gladly spend thousands of dollars, of which I am barely a pittance,  prosecuting this man for stealing food, but it will not feed him....

Wherefore art thou, o county religious conservatives? Demanding funding cuts for him and so far this year a few dozen others that I've seen, it would seem.
This one hits me pretty often too, True. Some days it feels like folks are too busy pissing on their messiah's teachings to actually go out and do what the hell the guy told them to do :-\

Gods know I see exceptions, but... s'just too much of a minority. On my best days, I still kinda' hold out hope someone'll figure out the magic phrase that'd invert that situation.

Was more fantasy related than anything... though there was a bit near the end with mario kart and starfox shoutouts... the latter of which was quite odd. I tried to gank the fighter, but due to the strange cylindrical shape of the pilots -- it was more an odd oversized toy than a starfighter, and the pilots were sort of battery-shaped and stuck in there good -- couldn't manage to yank the pilots out and steal the ship.

... but yeah, was more souped-up Morrowind style levitation or really smooth DBZ flight or something than plane. It was quite well done, though. Apparently my subconscious is fairly competent at designing areas that take account of free Z-axis movement.

Fighter pilot MMO might be interesting though, yeah. I half-way want to say we've got a couple of those...

... flying... flying dream...? I think... I think I just had one. Well, mostly flying. Context was video game and free form flight was one of the capabilities, so it was part flight part not. But still! First flying dream that I can remember! I've had similar movement systems before (swimming/underwater, "jump good"/long glide ones), but I think that was the first legit flight-for-main-critter-including dream I've had.

That was kinda' fun. Definitely a WTF, though. I was mostly expecting to never have one of those at this point, but I guess the subconscious finally found a way to excuse it. Go-go dream-MMO!

Drown the unworthy in books. A worthy endeavor! Yet another goal, alongside "Paint everything purple."

Sudden resolve to use the word for both meanings, get!

Double-bonus points for usage where either fit without changing the overall intent of the sentence.

... actually, I think I'll just keep using it as I have been and let confusion pile where it will. This is the better plan.

We need more words like that, really. Would make things more fun!

More or less. Its correlation to anything resembling intelligence is... spotty. Supposedly it measures your capability to learn, iirc, but... more or less only in specific ways, or... something. Too tired to remember or doublecheck wikipedia or somethin'. Suffice it to say I've seen folks with high IQs far, far outperformed on every/most level(s) by those with lower ones. It's a wonky thing, IQ.

Either that or I have a compulsive tendency to memorize common time zones and habitually make WAGs when people make statements related to time!

I give it 25/75 odds. I'd say I'd ask for takers, but I am a honest person and would honestly rig that bet, so the more moral action would be not to accept any bets. This time.

*blinks* Hee~ey. Someone's on central standard time.

... namely you. You're on CST. Seeing as it is, indeed, roughly ten minutes to midnight, this feels as though an important thing to point out. I know what time zone you live in. Wahahahahaha!

I'm not really sure if it's a sad thing or not that there exists fanfiction lengthier than Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

I mean... at least one of them is pretty darn decent, and a couple others fairly solid, of the ones I've tried to read. Go go mighty unpublishables... I guess.

... though, thinking on it, Romance of the Three Kingdoms basically is fanfiction. Just really old fanfiction. It's something! And with those words, Frumple makes an eternal enemy of Chinese literary historians the world over.
