It's probably worth noting that that kind of behavior doesn't actually seem very common over here, even if it's commonly televised. I've never seen it in person, despite being in a few areas and events over the years you'd expect to attract that sort of thing. Maybe I've just been lucky, I'unno.

Perhaps more of a thing than in other post-industrial nations, though, yeah.

... I just realized that, y'know? A thing they need. Cascading daisy-chain flash drives.

Like. They plug into the usb. And another flash drive plugs into them. When you save something to the one plugged into the computer, it saves it to all the other ones, too.

Though it does look like they've got plain daisychained ones. Neat. Probably wouldn't take too much effort to get it to work like that, then.

... under the clothes, i2. Assuming you wear any to bed. If you've got a good pillow setup th'pillows starting to vibrate is probably going to do shit. Your heart/jimmies start rustling, though, and you're probably about to start moving.

S'possible you might be able to borrow one from something public for a minute or two, too, if it came to that. Library, local school, whatever. Never hurts to ask, really.

Though a cheap USB keyboard might cost less than the gas to go bug people, checking prices. Either way.

Also raining and somehow has dropped below 60F outside, I think. It was apparently 80 something this morning. Go-go 30+ degree temperature fluctuation! It actually felt nice out for a bit, today.

It was poorly optimized (I guess, anyway) enough to be basically non-functional on a computer that runs Dawn of War 2 decently enough. When you can barely control the character and hit detection appears to have taken a vacation for everything but you, things become (un)surprisingly difficult.

Difficult enough I made it to the turtle and promptly quit. Don't know what the blazes that thing was coded in but it bloody well didn't agree with this computer :-\

No, no... it's kinda' understandable. You can get use to seeing blood like that. Gods know that I became ambivalent somewhere into the second or third week of bleeding daily. Was a good five or six months before the hole in me closed up enough to stop completely. That was a fairly unpleasant year or so, though missing a semester of highschool was a minor upshot.

Still kinda' freak out when I see other people bleeding, but when I'm th'one doing it it's become a sort of muted "Eh. Here we go again." sensation. People get used to the oddest things, I guess.

That's actually vaguely terrifying. When I've shaved in the past, it's always been with cheap disposable razors and water, naught else. No cuts, no blood. I guess it's a skin thing or... something? It's not like anyone bothered to show me how to do it, so maybe I'm, like. Missing something? That would normally be important and have a side effect of bleeding like a stuck pig?

I'd call myself blessed by the follicle gods but m'hair's starting to thin without even hitting 30 so I'd imagine if they've given a blessing it's... fickle.

... it gets fancier than just water? Shaving, that is. Soap/shampoo is for self-cleaning. Then brush and probably deodorant and... you're done.

There's days and days I get reminded I really have no clue about what most of my country goes through in relation to grooming. I'm seeming to do alright with a hair tie and brush, I'unno.

Join the Resistance

Look, we don't have much time. I'm typing this in a font they can't read, but we need to escape, now.

The People's Institution of Democratic Observation would like to inform the Resistance that our techniques are more advanced than you had assumed. We know where you are. We know where you're going. Escape is futile.

It happens occasionally~

Fortify the crap out of it and enjoy. Pretty lucky to have that much in such a weak system, I'd say. Do try to keep the Ion III, that's pretty useful. At least if it's in a decent spot in the system... though even if it is close to an entry wormhole, might as well take it.

Seriously though, if you've got it on random AI that might be part of the cause. S'not impossible, anywaay.

Follow the recipe. Pay attention and make sure you don't burn down your domicile. And you're done.

S'really not difficult unless you're specifically trying to either be silly/inventive or actively gimp yourself (i.e. going in blind with no clue what you're doing and no recipe). Cooking in general isn't difficult unless you're doing one of those two, and it only becomes easier as you become more familiar with it and start to be able to freestyle without ruining things.

Baked first time by my lonesome when I was, like, eight or nine, I think. Came out fine. No fires, edible food. Success by any fair measure.

What? No, it's fine if people are amused by it or whatever, and it's as much as part of the thread as most things. Comment was mostly about the accuracy part, or the test's own claim to be something approaching meaningful. It's just a machine to spit out fortune cookie statements after clicking on colored boxes, which is alright for what it is.

Yeesss... randomly clicking colored boxes somehow meaningfully predicts personality. I'm... somewhat doubtful.

Especially after giving it a try turned up a 100% wiff, wrong on every category result.

Thing's basically the old fortune teller/prophecy maker's trick. "So vague it could apply to anyone(/anything), so specific it can only be you(/a particular instance)"

It's a silly thing anyway. Colors are pretty well established to only have meaning in relation to the cultural framework they're being interpreted through, last time I checked. Might be some odd minor influences with certain hues (blood, etc.) outside of that, but nothing particularly influential. Bupkis test is bupkis :-\
