Changing suggestion to simply "Not Atronach". Don't care about the rest. Just want to see magic use made a non pain in the arse.

It's always going to be pretty capable for usage, but the damage does indeed fall off a bit. It'll still be several hundred damage (300-500 or so, iirc) per beam later on.

Late game archmage, damage wise, from what I recall (And note: I haven't actually played one to late game in a long, long time, so I'm going by what other people say), involves a lot of massive AoE and the occasional layered DoT fields (inferno, glacial vapor, etc.).

Just... scope out the vault. Check the winners, see what talents they've invested in.

... you can actually say "give me a lift" and mean "pick me up". Usually with a cuphold or something. "Give me a boost" is (considerably) more common for that sort of thing, but the sentence parses, and I've heard it used before.

E: Give, not gift. Goddamnit brain.

Somewhat tangential, but you might check out binaural beats. I've had pretty good study luck with SBaGen before, m'self. Have to play around a bit to see what sample or mix of samples (running two or three concurrently makes for some interesting times) works for you, but it might be worth a shot. Can also try running them in concert with actual music. Done that before, can be neat.

To pick up [person] can mean lifting >_>

Like. You can pick a person up. From the floor or bed or whatever. In approaching-regular use you might use it in relation to small kids or something. Probably not a common turn of phrase, but I'm relatively certain I've both used it and heard it used.

It'll be me to start. My usual copilot is going to be indisposed for a while, so figured it was as good a time as any to try this interactive play-through thing.

Oh, and regarding abusing hoptoad or superjumps... I should add that I'm going to at least ATTEMPT an Ironman Run. And if that doesn't work out, we might just take over as our companion if we die (assuming we have any). Depends on a few things, though; namely just how deadly this set of mods will be.
Mm. Well, hoptoad's fairly safe with a little bit in the way of acrobatics and some practice (and you can always just spell craft your way up to a decent jump. Even smaller magnitude jump/acro boosts can be pretty useful for getting around.). A handful of featherfall/levitation potion panic buttons makes it a non-danger. I think my 10-12th level critter using fair regen was using it as <gender pronoun>'s primary means of transportation without any trouble.  Going over those big mountains in the middle of the island is a pretty good way to get around, and as mentioned it's much more dynamic and interesting than just levitating around. Or walking :P

Can either jump from peak to peak, or jump up one side and then slide down the other. The latter's safer until you get acrobatics up there, o'course. And still fun :D Can feel a bit like playing Tribes, ha.

Ideally, you have it just strong enough you take a little damage on the fall and both acrobatics and restoration as either minor or non-core skills, since the damage and the healing does a good job of training both of them pretty well. Pleasing and practical!

Superjump's a bit trickier, ha.

And, of course, go with whatever's most comfortable to you. It'll be fun to watch someone else play... hopefully. Even if you don't strip Seyda Neen to the floorboards :P

Wagner is an acceptable substitute. Would depend a bit on the piece in question.

Only some opera would be acceptable, ferex. O Fortuna, stuff like that. Which isn't Wagner, I know.

Once, just once, I want to hear some beat dropper drive by shaking the land with Tchaikovsky. I could die happier after that.

... don't we actually have a few experiments that's managed (somewhat limited, but still...) abiogenesis? Science teacher should know that one, right?

Honestly, if you're going for something like that a hot bath is the best. If you've got a tub, anyway. Get one of those long straws and you can potentially do it with your head under the water, too.

Or... a hot spring. Wish there was one closer to where I'm at, that. Entirely too... whatever they are. You melt. Feels sooooo goooooood. "*dissolves into a drooling puddle of relaxation*" good.

Why in the name of the nonexistent gods does hot water feel so good to immerse yourself in, anyway?

Maybe you should find a pair of looser pants. :P
... was going to say you misspelled tighter, but then I realized the actual solution to this conundrum is body paint and a thong. Which, in a technical sense, are indeed looser pants. Insofar as they're loosed entirely. So, uh. Carry on.

Re: Stone alchemy: Six points for 5% resall, 10% all dam+5%spellcrit, or +30 stats (+5 per stat). Throw in a prodigy and you triple those numbers (base 30% resall with thick skin? Sign me up!). It's hefty, and that's ignoring sexy beasts like the Wozzname Rock. Can also just ignore imbue and go 5/5 extract and rake in the money. Two or three extra merchant artifacts is potentially worth a cat point and a few generics.

And yeah, imbue/extract run off raw (unless you went 4/5 in imbue for some odd reason? The fifth tier artifact gems are half the fun of getting that talent maxed.). So five points in imbue (6 total) gets you access to fifth tier gems for imbuing. The cat point more than the generics is the expensive part.

Anyone can use hoptoad, too. Or just a custom built acrobatics/jump spell, whatever. Blinding speed is great, but so is "as the crow flies". Also a bit more involved than just catapulting yourself across half the island or whatever.

I mean, levitation can do the latter, too, but ballistic arcs and occasionally bursting into a cloud of gib from missing a landing is much more enjoyable. Not!Atronach* can even take along a nice heal/regen spell and easily sustain the fall damage it usually involves. (Also, acrobatics goes up up up!).

*Okay, technically them, too, but see re: annoying potion chugging.
