How can you hate driving?! :o
Ton+ pile of metal being propelled by explosions that you are only nominally in control of and one unseen mechanical failure from committing manslaughter with. Vehicles are one of the deadliest things we encounter with any regularity and driving them makes me goddamn nervous as hell. It's like juggling loaded revolvers without a safety on 'em or something. In the middle of a preschool. And occasionally one of the revolvers just lights on fucking fire and explodes.

I'm not the sort of monster that could enjoy doing something like that.

Cheshire's just what, a Tzeentchi daemon of some sort? It's honestly pretty damn obvious in WH40k terms that Alice fell down a hole into a daemon world. I don't recall if there were any Nurgle aligned  critters in there, but you had the Tzeentch cat and mad hatter, the Khornite Queen (Skulls for the skull throne), the Slaaneshi caterpillar... most of the non-Alice characters in that book fall nicely in line with one of the Chaos factions.

Survived the trip to the grocery store, only got honked at once, and only took one wrong turn! Huzzah!

Now to sit and munch on stuff until the anxiety drains away. Gods alive but I hate driving. But survived! Huzzah!

By and large, Urkis is neutered by stun immunity, if you can get it by that point (several ghoul combinations have that easy, heh.). Lightning resistance helps, but most of his actually dangerous stuff (freeze, hurricane) is either drastically less dangerous or outright ignored if you're immune to stuns.

Otherwise, just go in with a magical wild and a teleport rune (or psychoport torque), drop the pain, bounce out, nix hurricane if it's on you, heal up, repeat. Unless he lucks out with regen armor, he's got no means of healing. Y'can attrit 'im to death pretty easily.

Well, Dumbledore did kinda hang out with Wizard Hitler for a while there...
But man, he was a good guy, man! He just needed the flesh and blood of several thousand innocents to create a work of art, man!

Sadly, do you know who the US would say is a bad guy? Gandalf. Why? He smokes weed.
Dumbles wanted to bone Wizard Hitler Mark 1, though, according to th'word o'HP god. Dude's like the antichrist insofar as US politics go. We both know in the farcical shitstorm that is USA news media, they'd demonize the homo over the toker.

... how's that work, exactly? 'Cause it's... not at their expense. At all.

And I don't exactly think you're there to help other people pass tests. If you are, it should be by helping them study and learn, not by intentionally performing poorly. That cheapens your experience and steals their chance to be evaluated appropriately. It benefits no one.

So, feel good about your score. If you did well, you did well. You literally can't succeed at the expense of others in that situation. They're not involved in your good performance.

Something just went beep bloop.
Huh. You too? Odd coincidence.

- Does Gandalf's light shield thingy repel Avada Kedavra? It stopped the freaking Balrog, but AK is claimed to be unstoppable... so maybe, maybe not. Unstoppable force, meet immovable object.
Well, AK's not quite unstoppable, it just can't be stopped with magic and if it hits something living, it kills them. A thrown rock can theoretically stop an AK, if it manages to hit one. Table, wall, hat, whatever (though if it's in contact with flesh, it kills. Wearing a shield wouldn't help, but throwing a sock at it would.). AK kills the first thing it hits, but it's got a travel time (seems relatively slow, honestly), only goes in straight lines, and only hits one thing per casting. It's great if you can hit something with it, but you've got to actually do that first, yeah. And not have someone throw a pigeon in the way or whatever.

Dude with a few bags of tricks could hold off someone spamming AK for a while. Or, like, someone with a pez dispenser.

He says so himself; he's the most dangerous person they're ever going to meet besides Sauron. Dumbledore doesn't really have the combat experience of Gandalf either.
This is... well, not quite questionable, per se, Dumbles does have a fair amount of off-screen combat experience, what with Grindleward, Voldie and the whole century+ of forefront-of-fighting-bad-wizards thing. Less than the many centuries old Gandalf, yeah, but still a not inconsequential amount of experience. I'd wager there's a point where you kinda' plateau insofar as that goes, and they're both at or near it.

Yeah, I'm quite fond of spring, and Total Annihilation and its descendants in general. As quite fond as I am quite terrible at actually playing them. Utter shite at juggling the economic thing at the same time as doing the combat bitsies, and not terribly impressive when I focus in on either one regardless. But damn, is the game fun to watch sometimes. Fun enough to play, too, I'm just a handicap for whoever's team I'm on :P

Be nice if there was an anti-economy mod or somethin', I think. Also, one day, I will play a few rounds of the Gundam mod with an actual human.

... or a turn-based riff on the TA/Spring ethos. I'd play the shit out of that, I think.

Except Neville was a Gryf. What you're actually looking at is a triple-blind done by Cedric, who faked his death at the obvious moment.

And Cedric was perhaps the most inept Hufflepuff of the series, honestly. They actually knew he was a capable wizard. His ploy to deal with Voldemort was merely the Hufflepuff equivalent of make-up work.

Honestly, Earth is one of their smaller projects.

Maybe if you're limiting yourself to English. Still doubtful.

... there's only seven? Or is that, like, a particular seven out of the wider pantheon of innumerable dirty words?

Yeaah, because it wasn't one of them that came out as best goddamn student in the school earlier in the series. Nope, never happened :-\

But yeah, Hufflepuff. Remember folks, the greatest trick of the Devil is to convince everyone else it doesn't exist. Of course Hufflepuff's where everyone not good enough to fit anywhere else goes. Keep telling yourself that.

Someone's going to be quietly ruling the world in the meantime, and it's not going to be either breed of idiot or the ones too smart to see what's two feet in front of them.

I had a friend once compliment the taste of the tapwater in my town.
It was weird. But apparently some tapwater tastes a bit rubbish.
Repeating: Tap water in two different places (one city, one town) down here in florida have made me sick. Back home, water straight from the tap was just kinda' nasty. Drinkable, but unpleasant. More bearable if near-frozen or boiled, but room temp was just... ugh. Could also see stuff floating in it so yeaah.

Incidentally, the water management guy in my hometown's a fellow that managed to get caught drug dealing on the job and somehow not get thrown in jail for it or lose his job. Hurray for corruption (don't drink the fucking water unless boiled or filtered).
