It's older the spiderweb, even, old dos shareware stuff was usually the full game you just needed a password or whatever to unlock everything.

Tomorrow, you will find a mousetrap in your shoe, the words "WE KNOW" scrawled besides it in cheese. Sleep lightly, Traveller.
Ooh, free cheese!
Don't eat the floor cheese, rol, c'mon now. The mice know exactly where it's been, they wouldn't be writing with the good cheese.

e: though yeah, that poster's from the '06 28 episode reboot thing that apparently exists. If they don't line up with your memory of the original, that's probably why :P

You can fit the entire NES library in under a gig, if you're so inclined and capable. Good chunk of the SNES/Genesis era ones, too. If you were limiting it to just stuff you're interested in instead of ~literally all of it~, fitting a few hundred onto a gig flash drive would be trivial. Can jam a huge amount of old DOS era games into that sort of space, too, for that matter, and you might already have an applicable GOG library or whatever...

e: though, uh, definitely consider just getting a bigger flash drive? You can get like 64 gigs worth for less than ten bucks these days, heh.

Yeah, care with links like that: The boss toad has mentioned they prefer we don't link to abandonware sites, as they tend to, well... not actually be abandonware in anything approaching a legal sense. Most stuff labeled that isn't genuinely copyright free, and most sites distributing it is just kinda' idly breaking copyright law and only getting away with it because they're distributing stuff not too many companies care much about anymore. Still technically illegal material, though, which is a fairly clean violation of forum ToS.

Nah, nothing to be sorry about, missing bits to a story like that is just a thing that happens.

... sleep is probably a good idea, though, if possible. It's, uh. Well past my bedtime, too.

I mean... read the article, maybe? The person doing it was involved in cleaning up the literal blood stains from the murder, was close to some of the victims, and appears to be doing it in no small part because people have been driving by their house and hollering at it for years. She seems to just kinda' be like, "I fucking get it, you fuckers can stop using my house as a tourist stop now".

Which is, like. Maybe there's a better way, but I can't really blame 'em if that's how they feel like dealing with it all.

Eh, I think it's worst for first peoples folks (whose situation gets referred to as "ongoing genocide" without much exaggeration, apparently), mostly? Parts that are fairly harsh on immigrants, too, but generally not as bad as a lot of places stateside. It's definitely got better PR than performance, though. Still, probably less hard on an immigrant family than the US would be.

... honestly, I'm mostly unsure of exactly where a good spot to flee to is, nowadays. Internet and pervasive pocket video recorders have brought to light a lot of shit in the relatively better places that used to fly under the radar.

misheard walk-in tub commercial, thought TV was advertising for elongated tongues

We came up with tons of other options, though.

Taste buds also weaken/change with age, for what that's worth. Might be the same thing, you're just interpreting it differently.

I'unno, China would make plenty of sense, too... from what I understand, trump was pretty good for domestic political consumption over there. We didn't really do much actual damage to them and his horseshit pissed off a lot of their folks. Them having been in on the fiddle playing, too, isn't exactly out there in terms of proposition.

Apatheism is the way to go; look at the world and realize that the existence or nonexistence of any particular god wouldn't look any different given available information, so you might as well not give a damn about the question :P

... yeah, I don't remember details, but I can second sky island murder tetris being one of the good ones, back in the day.

Which coincidentally for me was around the time that "Thrift Shop" song dropped and glorified the concept for general audiences, I guess.
I didn't notice that thing until the last year or so, but it resonated because I literally have a dooky brown jacket that I found diggin'... not leather, but eh. I call it my hobo jacket, it's got tarnished buttons and is basically the warmest, most comfortable jacket I've ever worn.

... like, I don't actually wear it anymore because florida hasn't gotten cold enough to call for more than a windbreaker in like a decade, but still.
