There's actually a fairly sharp divide between the folks side-eying guillotines and the ones interested in lynching material, stateside, for what it's worth. It's largely not a singular subset.

Good luck proving it without a paper trail, though, or if someone not you has your credentials and you don't :P

But yeah, it mostly very rarely matters... right up until the point it does, which is generally half way up some tributary of shit creek. You're usually pretty fucked regardless by that point, so it's probably a bit of a wash in terms of effort to usefulness, I'unno.

Effects are worst on the transient and otherwise disconnected, unsurprisingly, who have trouble reliably proving they're themselves even when they're actually who they say they are. Ain't exactly got character witnesses anyone'll trust if you're never in one place long enough to build connections, or the only folks also around you are in similar positions. Gotta' screw over the already screwed somehow or another!

And, of course, gods save us from attempts to actually maybe mitigate any of that, 'cause this is the US and we all know the GOP in particular would go out of their way to fuck that up :V

Just gotta' hold on and hope things don't get too omnifucked until maybe hopefully the younger generations can unfuck some of this mess. Just another few decades, ahaha :-\

Yeah, it's not that easy for a fair few folks. Beyond that, at least in most towns I've been in it's not uncommon for the post office to be easier to get to (case in point, the joint I'm living in now actually has a post office, but the nearest bank is a twenty minute drive, one way), on top of somewhere that's actually, like, useful beyond the bank stuff. Be interesting to see how it turns out, I guess.

What even is the Swedish Works of Healing Means? Google pulls up nothing, as near as I can tell.

That puts it at... at least a third of a percent of the population? About one out of every three hundred or so? Wonder if the rate's better or worse for french non-catholic denominations... also morbidly curious what percentage of the country's overall child sexual exploitation acts the churches constituted over the time period in question, not gon' lie. Sort of a number you could use as an addendum to the costs of organized religion :-\

Comes out to somewhere around 8 victims a day for a 70 year period, or .002 victims per priest/cleric per day, with a 3k priest level. Five hundred priest days per victim, or thereabouts? I wonder what french churchgoers think is an acceptable rate... I'd take a wild stab at it being considerably lower than that, ha.

re-edit: man I have weird idiosynchracies in what spelling I choose, sometimes spelling the same word both in british and in american in the same sentence.
If it makes you feel any better, sometimes I do that, too. It's usually an intentional thing, though.

[1] Not a flex, nenjin, just a matter of record.
A matter of record that most of you don't have public facing, which is why bringing it up pretty much always leads to, well... this.

The only flex available is quietly or not quietly not stating it outright and pointing to the public stats instead, and all of us have noodly arms compared to jifodus so :P

It was fun watching someone beat the (then, this was prior to the latest patches with bigger, badder) highest difficulty with one hero and no construction. Basically they went with the axolotl faction and beelined conflux, more or less drowned the map in effectively free elementals.

Balance is indeed still somewhat wonky :P

The dreaded total time logged in rears its head again!

... mine's still public record, so eh. No one wins against jifo.

It's HoMM with autobattler combat, basically. Non-combat parts are just flat out HoMM, mostly.

Pretty solid, does some neat stuff from what I've seen. Highest difficulty is apparently legitimately fairly brutal. Probably get around to getting it proper whenever it goes on sale on steam :P

Or if it's medically necessary!

Though I think they don't apply it orally in that case, usually? Sometimes you need some put in you for some reason or another, though. Doc'll figure it out at that point, probably...

I'unno... part of it was less that everyone loved it, and more that there wasn't much better on. The blessing of minimal expectations, or something like that.

Why do you throw cat food at anything?

If you've never bounced dry cat food off something living, you should try it. It's an incredibly enticing activity.

... isn't the taurus demon the one you can convince to yeet itself over the side and plummet to its death? Could swear I remember there's some boss thing or another you can do that to in those games, and for whatever reason my memory's saying it's that one.
