It doesn't go in the animal kingdom, IT IS THE ANIMAL KINGDOM
And then the Thing was a shoggoth. That goes on to breed with Xenomorphs, resulting in all sorts of fun things.

I have no idea what is going on. All I know is that this conversation reminds me of rule34 on Predator, which is quite horrifying. I have nothing else to contribute to this conversation so I'm going to shut up and eat some macaroni and cheese while that pitcher of tea brews.
A pox on ye, for now all I can ponder is a ThingxXenomorph shipfic.

I don't even know what the Thing is. Ever time I hear it being used I think Swamp Thing, which is, like, different. So. Now I'm guessing Swamp Thing got hit with that critter from Prototype or whatever and then shacked up with the Xenomorph queen, followed by the pair promptly doing a coordinated backflip and turning into the Tyranids, devouring all life in the milky way galaxy, and then slowly 'nidding their way off to WH40k verse. Continuities solved!

Imposition, stay out of my business, nosy, etc... that sort of thing. Yeah, if there's a particular word for it in english I can't recall one and that has a considerably different connotation with that minimal context given, heh. Apologies to the degree it's appropriate for not giving more of a benefit of doubt.

... people have a "place"?

Did the firmament of existence turn into a caste system when I wasn't paying attention? Why has no one bothered to mention this change?

Breached seventy Fahrenheit today. It... it's January.

I'm not going to get a winter this year, am I? I really need to get out of this godsforsaken hellswamp :-\

...So, how can people actually like it? It tastes really horrible (to me, at least).

It's much better with food IMO. I wouldn't ever get drunk on wine. Dehydrates the shit out of you and produces epic hangovers.

Wine is the alcohol I drink when I want to appreciate the properties of a beverage. If I actually want to drink, I'll have something else.
So it's like tea, just... poisonous. Makes a sort of sense. Guess the common sweet tea they drink around here would be the equivalent to "something else"? Don't really know, sweet tea tastes horrible t'me, bleh.

Ehn, the same thing happened to me MSH, and I was actually eating well (albeit on my own schedule, which didn't include three meals a day most of the time). I figured it was just because I was walking all over the place, m'self. Bit more day-to-day active than back home.

Karate metal, friend. Remember to smile or laugh a little every day, even if it's only out of sadism or masochism. Sensation is its own perfection.
Took me a minute to remember what karate metal was. But only a minute. Karate metal is still awesome*. To hell with sanity, a motorcycle makes a perfectly good instrument.

Didn't manage part two 100% but... maybe better than the year before. S'all good.

Sensation is its own perfection.

2.5-ish out of 3. Setting a low bar makes hitting it fairly easy, ha.

*Google image search will find it easily. Picture is too big, really, to post on the forum.

get eaten by a bigger fish in Odell Lake!
*nostalgia high five* One of the earlier ones I played that I can still remember, heh.

Edit: also, I'm getting my fix for anything 4x and/or space related from Sword of the stars complete collection atm, so any good action fantasy would be peachy
Bastion and Fortune Summoners are still half-off. Pretty radically different games, but they're both action-fantasy and awesome in their own way. FS will kick your ass into the ground, though :P

Regarding FS, the rest of the Carpe Fulgar published games are on sale, too, and I've heard fairly decent things about 'em. Also action fantasy!

Thinking on it, if you're after older stuff you might fish around and see if anyone's willing to swap GOG gifts for Steam gifts or something along those lines. Get yeh a little barterin' on.

Just... keep an eye on the flash sales, and browse around looking for stuff that interests you until around the fourth or so, at which point you nab everything you haven't already while it's still on sale. Actual game suggestions... what are your interests? Any recommendations would hinge on that.

Personally, I've nabbed Fortune Summoners, Bastion, the X3 gold pack, and Oblivion's GOTY package thing (with the intent of modding the bejesus out of it, which is currently giving me fits.) so far, and I've still got about eight bucks of wiggleroom.

Well, like I said, I have no real idea what it hitting V1 exactly entails. I do know DG's stated that he intends to do more campaigns at some point in the future (and his words on the donator-only stone warden class suggests he plans on releasing at least a few more classes), so it's certainly not the end of content development, and there's still plenty of outstanding bugs and suchlike to be fixed so I doubt that's done with yet, so...

... I don't really know what version 1 means, other than some kind of numbering milestone, and presumably the end of the content lock that started a few versions back.

So, uh. V1's out, apparently. Been out of the loop enough to have no idea what, exactly, this entails for T4 other than the content freeze (such as it was) lifting, but it's here anyway. Doesn't seem to be a changelog, but eh.

I now have a cranial fracture.

Help.
Now, I'm not a doctor, so take that into consideration.

But given the situation you've described, I think you need to take the nearest comfortably sized, but heavy, thing and hit yourself a few (more) times in the head with it. With any luck, that will widen the fracture enough your brains spill out, saving you from having to exist with the memory of that program. If you're unlucky, you'll just get brain damage and amnesia, but with any fortune it will be fatal.

Good luck, and god speed. Yes, I am joking. Mostly.

E: And in actual rage news, I apparently forgot to clean out the folder Oblivion was in before re-downloading it and making a backup, after I cocked up mod installation so badly the game broke beyond my ability to fix. Which meant that when I installed it for a second time, it still had whatever caused the initial buggerup to occur mixed in with the new stuff, and those files got carted along into the backup. The upshot of this colossal fuckup is I'm getting to download Oblivion for the third time in a 24 hour period.

Bloody hell FCOM. Why are you such a raging pain in the ass to install? Morrowind mod installation was much simpler than this bullshit :(

But, whatever. I carry on. Sometimes computer use just means being more stubborn than an inanimate object.
