"It's been over a decade, now. Can we just flipping move on, please?" My mostly canned response to anything 9/11 related at this point. I tone it down a lil' for folks that actually lost people. A little. It's still been over a decade. Most sympathy dries up at that point, and becomes concern you're still grieving about it.

Was there some sort of controversy involved or something? Why are you bringing it up?

I'd probably go with "belief in the divine" more than strictly a god... or even gods. There's some omnipresence related stuff I'd probably call theistic, but the divine stuff they talk about isn't... well, singular. Or plural, per se. S'a bit weird. Hindu stuff can skirt that, yeah, just as an example.

'Course, then you have to figure out what you mean by "divine" and, well. Just like "god" it's something that can vary by system.

"Which can be a category religions fall under" is kinda' a useless addendum, though. What isn't?

There's always Aurora. Massive thread for it around here, somewhere. Think DF mentality applied to a sci-fi 4x.

I want an energy being.
Their armor would fall off immediately and they'd be unable to hold weapons.
Cursed armor, man. Cursed armor.

Alternately gravity. Or magnetism. Or sufficiently advanced science :P

S'pretty standard scattershot divinatory methodology. Keep making possible divinations and sooner or later something sticks. Terrible accuracy but even the broken twenty-four hour clock is right once a day.

I wouldn't be surprised if poetry was involved. "Hallowed be thy name" sounds a hell of a lot better than "may thy name be hallowed". Something something passive voice?

The meaning changes a bit, too.

Amazon looks like it has some copies, so I imagine it'd be pretty easy to find online for sale, if you don't want to go through them.

And humans! Don't forget those. Can't recall if there's been backstory/culture mentioned for them yet, though...

I can't actually speak for them, having never played them, but the fate/stay night stuff has generated some excellent fanfiction, and some neat anime/manga stuff. I think it's got a bit of "adult" material in 'em, but they're supposed to be pretty decent despite it.

One, that air chocolate stuff's actually pretty alright. It's an interesting texture change, aye.

Two, it's still sold by weight, so five grams is five grams, or whatever the general sell weight is (it's less than that, I think, but yeah). Don't think air pockets increase the weight any :P Iirc, the air stuff's actually been selling, by weight, for less than the normal stuff where I'm at, heh*.

Companies being companies, who knows how long that'd last.

But yeah, something like that, just more... active. Possibly involving fire, I'unno.

*By weight is the only price point Frumple actually pays attention to, these days. What it says on the tag is irrelevant; what matters is how much per pound *sage nod*

There's gotta' be something that would benefit from having pressurized air involved in the cooking process, though. Maybe something to do with frozen foods? Some sort of pudding? What happens when you fire a few shots of the stuff into that quick-hardening chocolate or whatever that is?

Kinda' wish I had a can of the stuff and a kitchen that could survive the experimentation, now :-\

... you can do a bit with bread and milk? Not sure how to use canned air in cooking. I mean, I imagine there's some way to use it, I just don't know of any.

The US is made up of people who fled evil governments, was created as an act of revolt against an oppressive regime, "Government is naturally evil and occasionally needs to have its ass kicked" is a pretty fundamental part of the American zeitgeist and that mindset lends itself well to conspiracies.
Isn't this pretty heavily revisionist history stuff, though? Last I checked most of America's immigrant population came over here to make a buck, or at least more of a buck than they could where they were at. You've got a bit from the world war(s) stuff, but that's only part of America's history and a fraction of the cause of immigration, yeah. The religious stuff... most of the early religiously "oppressed" immigrants were kinda' dicks, to put it poorly, from what I remember; it was less that they were decent people fleeing oppression and more than folks back home kicked them the hell out for being assholes.

Not saying it's not part of the culture at this point, but it's kinda' like "In God we Trust" being in the pledge of allegiance, I'd say. Not really, well, part of (most of) the actual history -- relatively recent stuff or outright invention, basically.

As for the theories themselves... man, I'unno. I'd probably blame entertainment media in general. People can make a buck over here spewing out the crazy conspiracy crap, and, well, so they do. Which... thinking on it, yeah, it kinda' is a product of heritage and culture, coming from that angle.

Heeeeyyy. Sentient cannibal plants. As the next revealed playable race. Somewhat interesting, though them being bipedal is somewhat... contrived, perhaps.

Still no revelations as to what species actually entails, gameplay wise. Still. New info is new info, such as it is.

They did... they did at least, like, feed you or something, right? I mean, I don't personally mind a little exploitation when there's a full belly or summat involved, y'know? I can be bribed at a fraction of what it'd take to get a moving company or pay the back doctor later!

If not... yesh, bugger that, barring extraneous friendship-debt I guess. At least the offer for a meal or whatev', yeah. Shows appreciation :-\
