Not necessarily exclusive goals!

No one said Cthulhu has to be happy about it :D

Science will continue doing amazing things, politics will continue to make sure those things make no substantial difference. Something something methane something.

I'll be dead, and not really care anymore~

I'd think a machete would be against dorm policy...

... that said, if you're actually intending to crawl around those mountains there are places with pretty heavy forest/undergrowth, or at least there was in the parts I went through. So... maybe. Assuming whoever owns the land in question wouldn't skin you for messing up their beautiful trees.

Somehow I don't think the eternally soused is going to be crawling around the parts of the mountain that might actually need that, though. On the bright(?) side, if he does, there's a decent chance something ends up eating him.

Pants with small pockets are a vile heresy. I don't care what gender you are, if your pockets don't allow you to walk off with a sizable portion of any particular room's contents, you or your pants' creator have done it wrong.

No pockets are okay. That's fine. Sizable pockets are right and proper. They are the true path. Small pockets are anathema and must be purged.

This is truth. This is righteousness. Spread the word.

Wow. I've never seen anyone get below average in every mental illness before.
Just hit it with everything but dependent, and that was only a few points over.

Which should tell everyone that test is wonky, because I'm paranoid as fuck, among other things. Test's questions just don't hit the right trigger points for it :-\

On one hand, twisted treeline is kinda' enjoyable, at least with go one at it.

On the other hand, I kinda' continue to suck (Sure, ended up 11/4, but I blame most of that on my team mates).

On the third hand, Teemo seems kinda' enjoyable on TT. Shrooms go everywhere, and blind seems a fun thing to have when the optimum critters seem to be bruisers.

I wish TT had Co-op vs AI :P

Huh. No, wait, that's already been said. Neat? I guess? Maybe I'll try the less jovial ones...

What the fuck, vocabulary test. You'd have to be a fucking linguist to know all those friggin' words.
Lies! All you have to do is read absolute shitloads of material. It refused to submit for me, though :-\

But I'd seen most of them, and remembered a great deal of their meanings. Context would have helped tremendously for some of it, yeah.

So much video editing software on this computer! I DON'T EDIT VIDEO!

Uninstall all the things! ALL OF THEM.

And then probably the antivirus and whatever else I can gut. This excisement is overdue. E: BURN BUNDLED SOFTWARE, BURN. If I wanted what you offered I'd get something open source. Up your inferior profitmongering with a pointy stick!

She added: "It's more sane than doing it drunk at a party with a stranger."
Fair point, really.

And apparently some of the proceeds are going towards building homes for the destitute.

Real WtF is the pricetag, really. I'm pretty sure they've ran auctions like that and hit lower numbers :-\

Was preparing some paperbacks for a book sale over at the library...

... suspicion confirmed. Again. The only major difference between fanfiction and published fiction is general level of grammar. It's almost hilarious what sort of smut (not even good smut!) is getting peddled through those things.

Absolutely no joke, I saw stuff in passing that read exactly like something out of a bad slash fic (though obviously heteronormative; these are general consumption romance novels ::)) or lemon.

That... that looks expensive, completely beyond my technical capabilities, a melluva' hess to clean up...

... and awesome.

But no, nothing quite that far. I don't intend to go exactly crazy. 3 gig processor, probably 4 gigs of ram so I don't have to worry about 64 bit annoyances, min 250 gig hard drive, video card that isn't utter shit. I'm not particularly ambitious. I just want something a little better than what I've been using in the past, y'know? I'd like to be able to run Magicka one of these days.

I've actually seen an offbrand running about 600 USD (including shipping and warranty and whatnot) that matches/exceeds that, but I'm pretty sure I could beat the price (or at least match it with higher quality stuff) doing to the assembly m'self. Something for the future, really.

24237
I... have no idea what Puget style is :(

But yeah, DIY preference comes mostly for "Most Bang For Buck". Even some of the lesser names offer better price/power ratios than most of the bigger names, and DIY offers the flat out best. In exchange for doing most of the labor yourself, of course, and having to go through the trouble of getting the parts to begin with. Eh.

Oh no, no MZ. There's no Yay involved. After having two HP laptops in a row I can safely say I will never buy a computer from HP :P This one was gifted, more or less, and the other I got secondhand from a friend (who got it from his father; the comp was a couple years old when I got my hands on it, I think.). But actually giving someone money for one of these things? Nyet.

They've been (barely) functional but unpleasant. Disassembly has been involved, in order to actually fix things.

I'll... probably be building a desktop after this one dies, I guess. Need to bite the bullet eventually, even though I really don't want to have to go through the trouble of figuring out how to comparison shop for hardware. Laptops are nice for space but the hardware is shit and cooling is a bit of a pain in the ass, especially since every bloody idiot designing them seem insistent on putting fans on the bottom of the thing.

24239
That's something, I guess. I'm actually using an HP laptop (Not of my own volition, exactly. A pricetag of nothing -- for me, anyway -- is the best pricetag.), but it seems to be too old for all that. Pavilion dv7; s'got a little scroll bar thingy on the right side, but that seems to be as fancy as it gets. Thank the gods.

24240
... that sounds vile and horrific. Are your people at least merciful enough to either have a very overt option to disable that bullshit and/or have it opt-in rather than default?

Because all that on a laptop touchpad sounds like a recipe to make me throw the laptop through the nearest concrete wall.
