I've played airships, and from what I've seen of gameplay from this, about the only similarity is the very general aesthetic, both being punkish airship related games. Other than that basically everything is pretty different. Not in the same genre, not similar battle systems, wildly different narrative or whatever focuses (i.e. this one actually has one :P), they're just not similar games except in a very suface level, distant first impression manner.

Doing something, feel odd sharp prick in one of fingers, like sticking yourself on a safety pin or whatever. Look down, there's straight up a strand of my hair impaled into my finger, actually jammed past the top layer of the skin like a needle. What the actual fuck.

Dunno what you're trying to do, but it might be better off in Creative Projects or Forum Games and Roleplaying. There's an option to move the thread somewhere or another, I think if you try to edit that first post.

Looks like that in vids, too. It's a deliberate aesthetic choice on the part of the devs.

Ever since we started running a light classical music channel fairly often for one of my grandparents, I'm noticing that, like... Gershwin is really identifiable. Only ever really sat down and listened to Rhapsody in Blue, but there's been like four or five of their other pieces that had me going from the other room, "Wait a tick, is that Gershwin?" and then going to check and finding out that, yup, it was Gershwin. Hard to recall anything else that's quite so apparently distinct.

I mean, from what I remember of playing it, it is fairly shallow as a 4X, specifically?

... it just also isn't only a 4X, it's a pretty deep simulation game using 4X elements as an interactive layer, which is, like. Fine? That's okay. More than okay, it's one of the best in the industry at what it's specifically doing. Having a problem with that is like kvetching about the city building in the Dominions series or somethin' :P

It's mostly a space thing, to be fair. A ramp that isn't as much or worse of a fall hazard as a staircase is going to take up a fair bit more area, generally. The incline has to be pretty gentle or you're just as likely to bust your ass on it as you would your average set of stairs. Stairs are also a little more forgiving in terms of material, from what I've noticed... more stuff isn't going to appreciably make them more dangerous than for ramps.

Still, if you have the space and the means to acquire the right sorts of materials (which isn't difficult, it's just you can halfass stairs with 2x4s or whatever and that'll end up slicker than owl shit on a weather exposed ramp in ways it won't with stairs), go ramp. Just... go ramp, for you general domestic use.

Oh yeah, I've seen that one before, it's cute. If you haven't, watch DOUBLE KING. :3
On the one hand, yes.

On the other hand, the large swinging bird tits probably could have stood a forewarning. Just, uh. For anyone else that sees the suggestion.

oh, whoops

yeah, I clicked off of it like immediately and forgot the first step (frumple really needs a nap)

Thought you had linked this instead.

... wait, why is that in the terrified thread? Music's itself is fairly meh but the animation's kinda' adorable.

Notion of singing meat, specifically. Singing itself isn't perturbing.

So far as the omigod thing, they probably weren't, y'know, speaking english. It was just the closest equivalent to whatever the actual words would be.

Folks, let me give any prospective home owners, builders, or furnishers the best goddamn advice you will ever get: Build that shit like you're an invalid right from the fucking start. Ramps going in, rails for your toilet and (easily accessed!) shower, bed you can put your feet right on the floor from and can trivially get to the mattress to change coverings, the whole bloody nine yards.

You do not want to try to correct for that shit or try to function without while you're in the middle of turning disabled or having to care for someone that is. You do not want this. Build or select your shit to account for it before it happens.

Oh hey, I cataloged Magic for Liars at... some point. Going by the publish date probably sometime in 2019 or early 2020. Pretty sure I stuffed a new (well, for our collection, book itself was an older donation, iirc) copy of persuasion somewhere this year, too.

Idle reminder, cheat engine's speedhack can cheerfully increase the speed of just about any game that feels like being a slug. Just throwing that one out there :P
