Sudden realization reading something unrelated that a Harry Potter/History's Strongest Disiciple Kenichi crossover would involve LASER EYES. Technically quite a few HSDK crossovers could involve them, actually...

The thought of master class!dumbledore leaves me in giggles. It is a silly thought.

Rainbow Silk Road, maybe? Old NES game, pretty decent. About trading along the silk road, sorta'. Got fan-trans'd a long whiles back.

The world will never have enough masocore platforms. This is truth.

They're kinda' fun to watch, though~

Just... not play. Not enough mad twitch skills. Still. Glad some people enjoy those things :P

Something like Fierce Battle from FF6? Hell yes I do!

My favorite battle song ever!  From one of the most memorable scenes in a video game ever!  High five!!
Delicious remixes, aiee. Though the rest of the battle themes have even more, isgreatyes.

Cannons are optional, but would be interesting. I now have vision of orchestra on float, with field cannons and massive, massive amps.

But no, just sound is the intent. Come up beside some dude blasting bass. Rakishly tilt hat, turn on sound system, cause his/her vehicle to do a sound-wave induced barrel roll. Shatter block or two worth of windows (and ears, maybe) in process.

I have literally dreamt of this. Bass thumpers cause my inner audiophile to scoff. Anyone can make bounce with bass. It takes skill to make bounce with woodwinds.

I wish to see Tchaikovsky's music manifest itself physically and violently molest the surrounding countryside.

Well, as long as we're all male, or at least the good parts of being male, we should be golden! :D
And where that fails, science has done wonderful things with prosthetics these days. Lack of a particular bit is no longer an excuse for either gender.

Totes would have car screaming apocalyptica version of Hall of the Mountain King. That thought is almost as happy a thought as the thought of dueling bass thumpers with Tchaikovsky and winning.

One day. One day, I will shatter windows with the 1812 Overture. That day will be a glorious day.

Ah, but think exactly how many copies of the bible there are. Not to mention every other non-athiest religious text.
Or just noticeably different versions, really, ignoring the raw weight of the copies. Dawkins is pretty heavily outnumbered just by major English translations of the bible, never mind the various major fanfictions that have sprung followings.

That's even ignoring the various text on the sides. Theology has frankly produced at least as much raw bullshit-in-text-form as philosophy has, so a numbers game is probably a bad one to try to play. And that's probably per major religion, to say nothing of all the rest.

Afternoon nap brain says: The capital T Truth is... a brand of toothbrush. Offered to a sheep by Jesus as incentive to abandon something conceptually related to a mortal adventuring party in order to ascend to divinity. The sheep declines, and the dream continues. Then there was walking along a highway, and a tiny turtle slowly cooking to death (metal, heat, etc.) on the guardrail point-of-view character was walking along. Then woke up while looking at the turtle.

That one was a little more disjointed than usual. Ehn.

Somewhat confused. Are you trying to run it on an actual gba or through an emulator? If the latter, th'tomato one should patch to English without problem and play on VBA or no$gba. The former, I can't help... there's ways to patch a gba game for actual machine use, but it's beyond my technical knowledge and takes some hardware you probably don't have.

Are you wanting to just read a script or something? Have you considered firing an email to th'tomato fellow or the other folks that worked on the patch? Another good place to ask about a subject like this is romhacking.net's message board, where a lot of game-related fan-translation work congregates. You're probably a lot more likely to get a good answer there.

Solo on normal was doable once I noticed the don't kill prophets thing... it just took wading through a few dozen kobolds, jumping madly while harried to the point of near immobility. I'm not looking forward to the hard/elite attempts.

See, I'm apparently too low level to see any of that. Of the three or so human clerics/favored souls I've grouped with so far, absolutely none of them have healed... at all. In elite runs with the very present chance of a kobold shaman double tapping someone for 50+ damage with a lightning bolt, in which running around damaged is a good way to get instagibbed. I'd probably love to have a competent human healer running along, but I haven't seen any yet :P

I've seen 3) at least once so far, though... stealthy repossession or something like that. Had to put the cleric on passive to keep it from killing kobold prophets. Mind you, that quest in general is just a massive clusterfuck for a completely unstealthy fighter, but the hireling didn't help.

Right now, I guess I just need to wait until the third or forth level quests, where some semblance of strategy is actually required, and it's possible to get people who have some vague idea what they're doing involved. So far, though, all I've really needed is a healbot, because dropping 350+pp in healing potions per quest is... unpalatable, and not being topped off gets me oneshot.

Rest of it, good points. I'll keep them in mind when I actually start seeing raids, six person parties, traps I can't get the hire out of, and more than one rust monster on a map. Maybe I should be annoyed that the earlier quests do jack-all to prepare you for the ones coming shortly thereafter?

I-it's a cross counter?

No wait I think it was somehow differently.
Maybe... th'more amusing thing to me is that the islander child somehow managed to kick the player in the head, while the PC was dealing lethal cranial damage with a sword. Honestly, that's some kung-fu shit right there, depending on how young the kid was. Can you imaging a two-year old suddenly whipping out a flying spin kick to the skull in righteous (if ineffective) vengeance over the death of its parent? Thing might be jumping twice or more its own height to land that blow, unless the PC was leaning over or something to swing at the kid... which is hilarious(ish) in its own right.

I'm pretty sure almost no one has ever played Arena.
I played it for about ten minutes, I think. It's free nowadays, which is something. I don't remember much besides not liking something about the interface that led me to put it down for a bit. Then promptly forget about it, o'course.

I still haven't played anything past morrowind. I'd kinda' like to play skyrim just to wonder around in it... I know the graphics aren't supposed to be particularly spectacular these days, but I think currently the prettiest thing I've played to date is D&D online. Watching some LP's made it look pretty damn beautiful, which is something. Similarly, oblivion looks like it might be interesting after getting the ever-loving modded out of it. I hear it's pretty solid once it's been fan-content mangled into better shape.
