Frumple is fine with adding sexy to pretty much anything that doesn't mix it with gore, so long as the sexy is equitable.

That means that bishiecraft comes next.

I don't even know what to think of this.

Dat translation.

I wonder what the word that translated into satyr was...

E: Also, in before erogecraft, the logical progression of this strange creature.

I'm disappointed because I realised that Marina Liteyears will never be a playable character in Super Smash Bros.

I'd have a hell of a ball fighting Master Hand and make lame handshaking jokes.
I, personally, hope they don't cut Ganondorf from the roster in the next game. In fact, I think he deserves a model update.
What the buggery... s'like street fighter!Akira and a shonen manga had a lovechild. Not sure if want. Also horrible homoerotic not-so-subtle subtext with sword thing and akiraganon. The slashfics, aiee.

Totes should downgrade to one of the pre-N64 ganons. Big pig thing for win.

11 minute video. In which a single mech is chosen, and nothing else happens. Takes 'till 7:45 before anything is clicked.

It is a thing I do not comprehend, but am glad it makes other people happy :P

What's Children of the Rune? Googling is showing a few different things...

They were permanent a version or two ago, albeit fairly flimsy (at least after being made from frost-killed critters). It's not so much a zombie as it is a flesh golem, heh. Never did get far enough to find the materials for a proper golem... the starting one usually died to the first or second critter it met, unfortunately.

Anyone know if you can, like, inscribe magic or something into golems? That might be interesting... frost zombies would be an upgrade :P

Yeah, was about to snipe that wouldn't that render most of the romance genre fanfiction?

I'm... actually not sure which of the two literary (ha) fields would be worsened by that.

That is a hilarious amount of price inflation... I think, anyway.

So I've decided FSoG scores a solid 8/10 on the fanficometer. A 10/10 is defined as "exactly like My Immortal".
... your meter is either broken or reversed. Well, or you're using a rather unusual rating system :P

Which, judging by that last line, is probably what's happening.

Also, I totally misread the sole female pronoun in that nothing rhymes thing as a male pronoun. Mostly because I've seen like that exact goddamn summary several dozen times trying to find something that wasn't a poorly written slash fanfic. Seriously, browse, ferex, the 100k+ Naruto section on ff.n. I'd give 50/50 odds you find that summary verbatim.
I'm guessing "better than the original".
That's actually a pretty poor heuristic. Some pretty shitty -- or just fairly mediocre, ala Harry potter -- media has spawned great swathes of categorically superior fan fiction... that still weren't particularly impressive :P

Debby's mostly blotted out the sun for about two days straight, now... might manage another one, too. *cheerful* *cheerful*

Got my new iPod. 160GB, so I need to buy find music to fill it up some more.
Step one: Download OCRemix.
Step two: Public release stuff.
Step three: ???
Step four: Rock out. Profit.

If the hexes kind of bug you, why not turn them off? :P I play with 4-direction movement.
I feel that it's an important part of the game. It's unique, and unique games are more fun than standard roguelikes. I'll probably go to the 4-directional, though, because the hexes are harder to use.
Not unique, technically, but certainly uncommon. There's a handful of other hex-based roguelikes, it's just not exactly a regularly utilized design decision... you can kinda' see why, heh. S'bit harder to maneuver and operate, though I guess if you swapped control scheme to hjkuinm or something freaky like that it might be easier to move around, I'unno. Don't remember if the game'd support something like that.

Actually don't remember how the hex mode worked at all, because hex based games that aren't mostly mouse controlled are something that hurts my brain... and mouse controlled roguelikes are something that hurts my wrist. Changing to... ort? Oct? One of those two, anyway... was my second action after starting my first VoI game, heh.

Indeed it seems to keep crashing... And it seemed OK the last time I tried. Strange.

Sorry about that. I'll try to fix this later, but unfortunately I am quite busy now...
Hey, don't worry too much about it taking a while. We're not exactly paying customers :P

Take your time, yeh, just don't forget about us ;D

I... I like watching LPs, I really do, but sometimes watching other people play games, especially turn based strategy games, makes me want to strangle said people. It feels like watching someone that's been somehow inflicted with a recording induced myopia of the brain. Miss so much, do so many things that's just incredibly stupid, etc., etc., etc.

It's painful to watch, and the gut reaction is to beat them until either the stupid or movement stops.

I absolutely adore watching people genuinely skilled -- or at least equally competent to myself (and I'm not very good, at all) -- play. So it's not just a matter of the I'm-not-playing frustrationbutton. It's just the ones that constantly do stupid, stupid, stupid things, over and over and over again. Learn gods damn you!

Q:Things that made you sad today thread.
A: Size of this thread, loads of negativity it seems.

Well we had to put it somewhere and the drawer by the sink was full.... So....

If it makes you feel better, the happy thread is about twice this size.
And most of it's derail, not sads.
Also, it's a good three or so years old, which kinda' dilutes the overall impact of its girth. Maybe. I'unno, it's like fortysomething posts per day badly eyeballing and estimating (48k/1k, basically.) things, which I guess is kind of a downer.

Someone should do a sads per hour or something.

Am I the only one who think that if the US was a Dwarf Fortress, I'd just flood it with magma and start over? It's just so much of a mess that I wouldn't know where to start to fix it.
No, no... it'd be pretty easy to start towards fixin'. Just death chamber the nobles and the brokers, then assign people that actually have appropriate skills into management positions instead of  whoever has the higher liar skill. There'd still be problems, but much more manageable ones.
