There's a fancy alt code thing that can produce it, I think, but the practical answer to "how do you type the degree symbol" is "you don't". Most people will understand 150C (or whatever) stands for 150 degrees celcius when you're talking about stuff involving temperature.

Is it? Is it actually enough to raise "serious doubt"? That looked a lot more like it's enough to see the systems in place catch minor errors before they're even actually counted, which is like the exact opposite of raising serious doubt in the election results.

Goddamn westerns. "I have washed my hair twice and clothes three times, waiting for you." Broken Arrow, about a hour in, counting commercials. This b-movie shitlist tier acting, bloody hell.

Oh, yeah, fungal absolutely will kill you with great consistency and fervor, ha. It's got a lot of neat stuff in it, though :P

We get bots occasionally, yeah, or at least commercial spammers. Generally don't get to the point of bot plague, but they do show up occasionally. It is indeed something pretty much everything online has to deal with, forums very much included.

Thread tax, I do loiter around sufficient velocity a bit, these days. Spinoff from Spacebattles (there's been more than one of those, with SV probably being the most stable/sane/not-filled-with-underage-donkey-smut of the ones I'm aware of) over... stuff I don't remember, heh, covering mostly the same sort of stuff (fiction/vs discussions, writing stuff, forum games, etc.). Different sort of thing going on over there compared to B12, but it's mostly not bad. There's a few other users around here that also post there occasionally.

do wands spawn anywhere off the main path?
Yes? Fungal's pretty lousy with them, iirc, and they show up elsewhere, too. Unless it's been changed since I last played, I guess.

Latin, iirc. Google thinks so, too. It's a fairly famous saying, heh.

It's maybe more politics than Covid, but honestly you could hardly make up the current situation with the mess the top UK government bods got themselves in...

The satirists are doubtless apoplectically happy.
They've seemed almost depressed over the last few years, actually. Reality's been one upping them :-\

Swimming trunks continue to be best underwear. Along with its myriad other advantages, it turns out it's helpful to be wearing something like that when you're having to bath elderly, too. Even if they get splashed off and on, they're built for it!

... yes? Pretty sure. Why wouldn't they? 1280x800 hasn't become an uncommon resolution, near as I can recall?

I'm betting that there's an equal chance of someone dreaming of republicans winning hard enough so that democrat donors don't see a future, etc, etc...
I mean, there's not an equal chance of that. Flat out. The GOP has been a minority party in terms of public support on the national scale for a while now; if people actually vote en masse, the republican party loses, which is why you see constant attempts at disenfranchisement and voter suppression from them. It's only our fucked up electoral system that's kept them in power to the degree they are.

and ninja'd, but whatever

... so far as one party control goes, though... that was basically the default state of things for a great deal of the country's history, so it's definitely survivable for the nation, at least. Whether that's an indictment or comfort probably depends on how well you think that turned out :P

Hell, I'm pretty close to that at this point. You might could pay me to vote for a republican politician, but it'd take a six figure or better bank transfer, and it'd only work the one time. Otherwise fuck voting for the GOP. Won't necessarily vote dem, but you'd have to bankroll my ass pretty damn hard get me to vote R even once.

Nevermind everything else, just on the local level the scum have spent my entire life trying to and often succeeding in sabotaging the livelihoods and infrastructure of my state and local region, while simultaneously being so fucking corrupt I've seen the shits bury pedophilia investigations. I'd trust a rabid badger with governance sooner than I would someone willingly associating themselves with the GOP.

Whole towering edifice of shit that is the republican party political infrastructure can go die in a fire. Entire bloody world would be better off without it.

Nah, it was frozen... something or other. Cheesy garlic toast things. Not exactly high quality.

The spice mixed in well enough, though, at least from the look of it. Tasted like it mixed in fine, too, for that matter (I've tasted the curry powder raw and it was... nothing like that was). It just tasted pretty vile/confused as all hell. Maybe if it was like cooked right into the bread it'd be better, but... I'unno. I'unno and my motivation to try to find out is as starkly negative as my opinion of ever mixing hot chocolate and green tea again (pro tip: Don't.).

Wrong kind of curry powder? Too much and it was gritty? I can definitely imagine some masala blends being awful but others should be alright.
Maybe wrong kind? Definitely wasn't too much, I went fairly easy on it and this particular curry powder isn't gritty at all. Mostly it was just intensely confused and pretty nasty for it.

Now that you mention grit, though, while it wasn't gritty, it did kinda' taste like friggin' sand. How the hell you get "sand" out of curry powder and garlic bread, I don't know, but I have no intention of experimenting to find out at this point. Blech.
