Eh? You do something besides stone kiting to deal with jellies when you don't have magic access or a artifact weapon?

Unarmed? Doesn't that mess up your armor or something? I wouldn't actually know, since I haven't killed jellies in melee since, uh. Probably like version four, version six? Years, now, anyway. Still.

Polearm reaching is a little more forgiving about that nowadays, at least. Is something.

Consider for future. Also always carry large stack of stones. Very useful. Tend to get a 99 or so stack asap and just leave them in the inventory. Usually lasts all game, saves life many times.

Huuum. That'll be like, held for posterity in the live stream's video things, right? I currently don't have access to anything capable of playing a stream (freaking iPad) :-\

Can't, unfortunately. Game just doesn't let you. Probably be different at some point in newversion's future, but current!Inc can't handle it.

But yeah, like I said, weight factors in to the strength based DCs... somehow.

Bleh. 78, I'm sweating. 73 is about as high as I can stand without being miserable, and even that's warm. Cost is one thing, dehydration and weather induced depression I'm somewhat willing to suck up costs for.

67?! Fahrenheit?! Good lord, I'd hate to see your power bill :(
Is not too bad, really. Heater doesn't get turned on during winter (at all) and pretty much all lights and suchlike stay off.

But, 67, 70, 80? Only somewhat difference when it's nearing 100 outside. AC still on 24/7 to keep people from keeling over from heat.

Bleh. People who said would be gone weekend only gone overnight. Precious keyboard access and sub-70F AC control, lost again. Also no chance of seeing Toonami's re-debut. Also means noise box is going to come back on. Bugger the noise box, especially when it's controlled by someone that turns the volume up too loud and doesn't mute the commercials. First world problems, gogo~

Back to being quiet to not wakeup/disturb old people too, though. Less of a first world problem, but I guess at least I got 20 hours or so to cackle maniacally in. Is something :-\

Also, it is hot. Had AC on 67F, was thirty degree differential between inside and outside. Florida's back~ Fuck Florida with a rusty train spike.

Other Games / Re: Good SNES RPGs?
« on: May 26, 2012, 01:48:46 pm »
SNES was good for RPGs :P

It and the PSX1 were kinda' king for that general period, though the NES was pretty heavy, too, just didn't have nearly as much translated, comparatively. Doesn't mean there's no gems on the other stuff (Except N64. It had ogre battle and paper mario and iirc that was bloody it. At least that was officially released in english.)

Oh. Save DC on weapons is a function of your stats and a few other things. Mastery is involved, which is one of the reasons stuff like spiked chains (and anything if you have knock prone) are particularly good with warriors.

I couldn't tell you exactly what the formula is, though. Just know that strength effects some things, dex effects others, and mastery increases DCs for your specialized weapon. Weapon weight may or may not be involved for some effects, I'unno, but the primary decider is your stats, not the weapon.

And yeah, plain mauls are much more functional. I don't think I've bothered to get a warrior to the endgame doing that, but I've got pretty far a number of times. Much less fatigue issues. It's part of the challenge of going dual great maul :P

Yet how could you kill something that acted so... Human?
Seriously? Humans have a pretty strong track record of killing cannibalsother humans, so. The answer isn't that hard to find.

Though... xenophobia, dehumanization, and the extent most humans care about what's outside their monkeysphere (Pretty close to exactly jack.) isn't exactly happy thread material. Different topic!

Rain! Rain is good! I really wish I had rain right now. Went outside little while ago, to take out dog. Air was such that I've cooked things with lower temperatures. Florida~

There is list, for easy perusal.

Giant lance is one I always mean to get around to using somehow, but never actually manage it.

Occasionally did a dual great maul run, too. Those tend to end shortly due to hilariously massive fatigue issues :P

Still. Concept is great. Like petrifying pair of halflings and tying them to separate sticks, then beating things with them. Beautiful image. Only dwarf or passion priest can really manage it, though. Three levels of passion/pain/strength Zurvash priest then multiclassing into warrior is always an option.

Incidentally, that amount of priest levels then going all-in with barbarian is absolutely ridiculous. One of those runs is where I get the story about beating a crab demon to death with bare hands while hanging from the ceiling. Is massive power trip once gets running, huhuhu.

Might be able to get some limited functionality out of changing the shift-direction option. Can set it so it fires instead of runs, which is something.

Dunno if there's a 'y'use command for fire or not. Hrm.

Yeaaaah... if I want nectar, I will pick honeysuckle and pull out the thingy with the nectar on it.

Stuff was about the only damn thing that got me through middle school PE, honestly. Buncha' th'stuff grew alongside the track area and I'd munch in passing. Surprisingly(?) energizing.
