Which is why I didn't say that, and was specifically asking to make sure the multitasking was actually going on :P

That's why it's a sanity check for me, y'know?

Just to sanity check myself, and somewhat unrelated to the general discussion, you are fully aware that we've got much worse human rights violations to deal with, too, right moo (or everyone, really)? Even just in the USA.

This isn't an attempt to discredit the position against circumcision or downplay the effects, it's just a subject that seems to get disproportionate fervor to me, especially when the solution seems to be running through a pretty simple consent law. I see the discussion and my reaction is -- well, yes, but we've got much bigger fish to fry, right? Let's fry those first and maybe get this one along the way.

Which isn't to say we couldn't fry the issues concurrently or anything, of course. That's appropriate, so long as the issue isn't drowning out or distracting from bigger ones.

Randomly give away copies to all users starting with G and ending in irlinhat?
Would you really want to generate a thread full of escaped lunatics with random letters in between G and irlinhat?

... well, it'd be kinda' amusing, I guess.

Yeah... Dune's kinda' classic scifi. I mean, there was movies, TV series, video games (one of which basically -- if not quite -- started the RTS genre)... it's fairly well loved.

Also, infinite logs. Infinite logs? Infinite logs. Probably. You have them. It won't not help.

I can say with 100% certainty that I have never been exposed to an argument that made a good case for the death penalty in terms of a moral argument, logical reasoning or from a practical point of veiw.
Yeah, just to sort of nip this in the bud, we've already had this series of arguments on B12 multiple times. Give a search around general discussion if you or anyone else is actually interested in reading anything about it, because at this point pretty much no one has anything original to add.

Anyway. American justice system, no one surprised, etc., etc. Fight the good fight going forward trying to make things better, but remember there's at least one multibillion dollar industry sitting between any sort of activism and positive change. We're going to be hammering at it for a while :-\

Could try playing lizardfolk. They pretty much ignore water. Also, remember as you invest you only need DC-5 to prevent drowning -- iirc, the break off points are at five and fifteen (for normal and turbulent, respectively.). Might be five and twenty. Anyway, at that point you don't have to worry about damage. Lastly, remember that armor penalties count double for the purpose of swimming -- sometimes just removing your shield or armor can let you swim without risking damage (from drowning, anyway).

Protection from water also makes non-turbulent water a nonissue.

Check the incursion thread here on b12, there's an updated link on the last page or two. This message.

Library? Fan fiction/free ebook stuff? Where will, way. Sometimes, anyway.

Alternately, check thrift shops or whatever. Sometimes can get book for quarter. Get all the books.

What's that?
You want an update on Starbound?

Too bad.
Waluigi Time. Caturday.
I will name it Scruffles.

Then I will implant a laser cannon in its skull and train it to slay gods.

Space dog gets the rocket launcher and jetpack. Scruffles will use Floopsie as her fleshchariot.

It is meaningless to me to add my own class using such mechanics unless someone else can use them.

Mind you it isn't so much that I am thinking of recognition. If I am using ingame tools then it is for me to use. If I am using out of game tools then it is for other people to use.
Yeah, it's really easy to distribute addons for general use. Just throw it up on the forum and maybe sling an email (or drop in the IRC -- it's a good place to get some coding advice, too.) at DG once you've got it in testable shape. He'll probably slip it into the main site's add-on page.

Ah yeah, I was a cornac. I did notice Defilers seemed to have very few generic skill trees, but I wasn't sure if Stone Alchemy was a generic or what. Thanks!
It's an easy thing to miss before you're used to the game, but you can't get additional class trees. Everything you can pick up during the game is generic. So no worries about accidentally choosing a class tree you might not want to spare class points for, heh. You couldn't in the base game even if you wanted to.

Modding architecture is supposedly fairly painless with the t-engine, neo. If you can code it...

There's several class add ons you can look to for examples.

Frumple would add the ink sage, huhuhu. If I ever get around to coding it, anyway. Not likely, but still...

It's arguable. For a defiler, either of them... probably a good idea. You can spare a cat point and it's not like you won't be able to spare the generics. If you're cornac and not higher, the cost is even smaller (relatively).

Now, personally, I pretty much always take the tree if I'm not building something incredibly strapped for category points. A cat point and six generic talent points for an additional 10% resall (to say nothing of the lifebinding emerald or wozzname's rock) is incredibly desirable. That it can be +30 (5*6) stats or +10% damage or whatever else sort of gem you feel like shoving into your armor doesn't hurt. It's a quite versatile passive effect.

But, the cost is hefty. It's a category point and at-minimum six generics if you're beelining straight to imbue item 5/5 and ignoring everything else (Gem portal's alright, but useless for non-alchs iirc -- unless you can get some alchy gems from murdering rand-class monsters -- and stone touch is pretty iffy. Extract gems is a massive money generator if you're after that.), which I'd suggest. That's the other part of the downside, though. The only directly (and unconditionally) useful thing in the tree is imbue item. Extract gems is a bit more useful nowadays, though, what with that particular late-game money sink of incredible power. The only other thing to consider is actually investing in any of the talents will lock you out of anti magic, but that's a non-issue for the defiler metaclass anyway.

Overall, you probably didn't make a mistake, especially playing one of the defiler classes. They've got generics and cat points to burn, really, so the "downside" of taking the stone alchemy tree is heavily mitigated.

Tee hee hee. A little naughty but nothing even remotely explicit. TV16, maybe.

Anyway. Group that does that has a lot of nice little pieces. Totally rec'd if you have a fondness for limerick-style stuff and related shenanigans.

Also this, the Bantam Cock. Roughly same level of maturity and, fair warning, it's a long song/joke about a randy chicken. Lyrics are within forum's ToS, though, so all should be okay. It's also hilarious.
Spoiler: Trigger word warning (click to show/hide)

I don't have a USB mouse at the moment and home is several states away.
Nothing for it than to make a tiny window via propelled encased silicon and circuitry in your wall, then.

Try to only hit someone/thing that deserves it ~

Or do what salmon suggested. I vastly prefer wired everything mice over wireless, but that's a personal preference :P

E: Or... I don't even quite know what the hell that arc touch thing is. Curved freestanding wireless touchpad?
