Obvious methods would be do them like those snakes they put in booze some times, or drop some quills in whatever you're fermenting. Less obvious would get... weirder.

Something that might actually work (and make something psychoactive/hallucinogenic) is to replicate that old (as in pre-industrial age) druggy trick of getting something jumped up on shrooms and then collecting their pee for reuse, either including it in the direct brewing process somewhere or cutting the finished product with psychedelic hedgehog piss.

The exact logistics of that process are left as an exercise for the curious.

Gonna' cook things with it next, got like a year to make a bit less than a pound of this stuff get done something with. Looks like it'll be fairly easy to use, though... basically just fluffy pulled pork, and I can work with that.

The premise (communication with alternate reality/timeline versions of themself) definitely shows up in fanfiction occasionally, for what it's worth, though I don't think I've ever actually read any of them. Probably other fiction, as well, that I just haven't personally encountered.

Similar ones I actually have read a few of were actual non-communication interactions, mixed timelines or whatever seeing several versions of the same character teaming up and/or fighting and/or screwing each other. Pretty certain that has shown up repeatedly over the years in officially published works, primarily comic books.

... basically, the general concept will hit movie screens eventually. If you live long enough, you might actually see it!

... maybe. There's a part of me that thinks after half a million dead in my country, maybe continuing to wear one in public as a memorial would be fitting. Plus hey, less disease spread, less trouble with allergies or whatever. Happy mask noises, as someone or another put it.
